Another thing i do like is Kate's passion for some great forgotten directors. Like Michael Powell who is credited in the Red Shoes booklet and showed me that the title was not just a coincidence (it was not so obvious for me... as i'm French).
So... now for the trivia (let's hope it was not done before): do you know from which movie the introduction of "Hounds of Love" comes from ? (you know, the sound-clip "It's in the trees... It's coming !")
(The answer doesn't figure in the booklet of HOL, at last not in my old cd edition...)

;D Haha! Glad to know there are still some mysteries going on... But i must be fair to the other players and delay the answer... A little hint, though: according to some people, it is one of the finest horror films ever made...

Nice trivia question, iBee1! ;D Glad to see that you've jumped in. The Night of the Demon(or Curse of the Demon in USA) and what other film also inspired the video?

OOOOOOooh! This thread is intruiging! I don't know the answer to either question! I wish I did, because many of Kate's songs were inspired by movies, and this could be a really great thread! Do you know what film inspired "The Infant Kiss"?

So do you guys give up on the other film inspiration for HOL? And to answer about "Infant Kiss" it's The Innocent with Deborah KerrBut that only scratches the surface of the inspiration there. What story takes this a step further? Hint, maybe I mentioned it before as one of my favorite authors, and truly one of the best disturbed stories of all time! And another strange coincidence I shared with Kate when I discovered her music! ;D Actually, I find it very strange, without any connection (by that I mean one did not lead me to love the other as I discovered them, they were all completely separate initially) this is probably one of my top 5 favorite novels, with a film version starring my favorite film actress (not Deborah Kerr) and inspired a song by Kate, my favorite female musician. Peculiar, hmm? And, remember, you're dealing with someone obsessed with classic film here! ;D ;D Oh, and iBee1, if you have interest in The Red Shoes, please check out my posts about it under Deeper Understanding. I'd love to engage in a discussion there if you follow my ideas! ;D

I will Xanadu ! Also... i may be wrong but i think "A Matter of Life and Death" by Michael Powell must have been some kind of an inspiration for the video of Cloudbusting... or am i crazy ?

Hey, did anyone still have any interest in the answers to the two questions still remaining on this thread?
Actually, I thought this one was pretty good to die so soon. Kate has taken much inspiration from film, televison and literature.

In the interview segment of "The Sensual World" video, Kate professes her fondness of the 'visual' impact of film. She also has so many literary references in her music. Would someone please pick up the ball and run with it here?
