Thanks everyone for your votes last week! Where Are The Lionhearts and Under The Ivy were the first to go. Once again, choose your 2 least favourite songs from the list of preliminary winners below. State why you chose them to vote off, or if you find that too hard, say why you like the song! Your choices are: [shadow=white,left,300] Moving Symphony In Blue Breathing Night Of The Swallow Running Up That Hill Hello Earth The Sensual World Moments Of Pleasure
[/shadow] You have until Monday 21st February to vote! Enjoy!

I'll be skewered and lambasted for one of these: [shadow=white,left,300] Symphony In Blue Breathing
[/shadow] Of course I absolutely love both of these. However, the remainder of the list, to me is flawless. My only reasons for picking these two are: The bit sophomoric pun at the end of 'SIB" and 'Breathing' is almost like two songs. The first half does not really compare to the last half, which has some of the most awe inspiring vocals ever recorded. Next week - even tougher.

I love those songs but i guess i need to eat some out. LOL! OK, I'm going for: Symphony In BlueI did last week too, and as I said then, it's a great song but just doesn't compare to the others for me. *stuck* MovingWith a heavy heart. A wonderful song, brilliantly crafted and with such a sensual, luscious sound to it. I'm really only voting it out because I prefer 'Mature Kate' to 'Early Kate' music-wise, and the others are all just too good to go...! It looks like "Symphony" could well go, but I wonder which song will join it?

OK, we knew this was coming - but what agony!
I have to say goodbye to The Sensual World & Breathing
Of course it goes without saying that both songs are sensational and would be a credit to any composer. I'm probably losing them because of their experimental nature - despite the fact that I normally celebrate this in compositions. I vaguely recall also that TSW is based on an older traditional macedonian piece (there's a link to it here somewhere) and that makes it not entirely original. Even given that it may be Kate's Mount Everest of Sensuality, is not enough to save it for me this week.
I won't be skewering or lambasting anyone this week.. (except of course for any nutter that voted out Moving..) The task is damn near impossible and every song deserves to survive..

Molly Bloom's soliloquy at the end of James Joyce's Ulysses Yes that too, but I was referring to the music..

Yes that too, but I was referring to the music.. I believe Adey is refering to a traditional macedonian piece originally recorded by Nevestinko Oro, purported to be the musical inspiration, albeit stodgier than Kate's interpretation of it.

As it's your quiz, you're excused skewering and lambasting.
I can't speak for the other guys however..

Symphony In Blue Moving And I'll have to quote Sto for my reasons: I'm really only voting it out because I prefer 'Mature Kate' to 'Early Kate' music-wise, and the others are all just too good to go...! Sorry Adey.

I do mostly prefer the mature Kate as well. However, some of her early work I enjoy just as much for it's madness and exuberance.

For preference, mature Kate for me also - but you gotta love her early stuff too right?
