After a LONG time watching and waiting, I recently got my hands on an old Zaine Griff album called "FIGVRES" that has Kate doing backing vocals on one of the songs. The song is "Flowers", apparently they were both students of Lindsay Kemp. Her vocals are fantastic - they're prominent and immediately recognizable as Kate (at her best IMO).
Unfortunately I live in the sticks and there's no place around here where I can get it transferred to CD. However, I plan to travel to the edge of civilization soon so that I can get someone to do it, then I'll find a way to get it out where people can listen to it.

However, I plan to travel to the edge of civilization soon so that I can get someone to do it, then I'll find a way to get it out where people can listen to it. I've tracked it down. It's track 3 on the album, and was released as a single in 1982 in the UK. Apparently the presence of Kate means that copies of the single are almost impossible to find, as obsessive Kate fans have snapped them all up. Yes, Kate's vocals are fairly distinctive on this song. Zaine Griff was born in New Zealand in 1957, and recorded two albums - one in 1979/80 and the second in 1982. He was likened to Bowie by some people at the time, but he never achieved anything more than a cult following. He moved on from the music business to explore other artistic pursuits after his second album. --Paul--

They do bear a striking resemblance, don't they? ... Figvres (1982) Hounds of Love (1985)

Thanks for posting the actual picture tannis, I couldn't figure out how. Sal, here are the steps I use to get a Google image on the forum:
step 1: use Google Images to find the picture you want to use; step 2: click on picture and 'See full size image'. Then right click on mouse and "Save Picture As..."; step 3: give picture a title (JPEG pic types are the easiest to use/edit); step 4: Open your free Photobucket Account and click upload images and videos, and browse and click on the image name you have saved. Open this file, and it will be saved into your Photobucket account, allowing you to crop or edit the image size (n.b. due to copyright[?], some images will not get imported, e.g. the blogspot cover in your previous link); step 5: hover the mouse over the image loaded into your Photobucket Album and a pop-up menu will display the 'IMG code'. Left click on this, and the IMG code is now 'copied' ready for you to paste it directly into your Sensual World Forum post.
Hope this helps, Tannis
