During the 70s in Australia there was a weekly program on the ABC - 'Countdown' that highlighted latest trends and top hits worldwide and Australia's Top 10 etc.
I 'discovered' Kate through this program. I was captivated by her Wuthering Heights video being about 16 - 17 at the time, immediately fell in love with her.
I also went out and bought a KB poster and taped it to the ceiling above my bed so that she was the first thing I saw each morning. (a bit of a Kate Bush 'tragic' I guess . . .)
When she came to Australia for the King of Pop awards she was fantastic.
I have loved her and her music ever since.

Weirdest Kate discovery story I think I might have ever heard: My current boyfriend found a copy of Never For Ever (tape) lying on the street. No case. So he took it, brought it home, loved it. Now he plays Babooshka for me on the juke box in the bar. Finding a KB tape on the ground on the south side of Chicago in a Mexican neighborhood is weird enough, but NFE of all albums? He's trying his damnedest to get me into Peter Gabriel in the meantime. They have more in common than I realized.

Welcome back Sheila A Kate bush tape anywhere in the US is rare - even in used record shops.

Cool story, though. Welcome back, Sheila. You've never met me, but I've read a lot of your posts from awhile ago.

Thank you. ;D I am rather proud of the avatar - but I had a lot of help with it. It will be fun to have you as part of the group.
