Vote and then comment. Unless you are too sensitive.

I need to think about my choice before I vote. But if anybody chooses Paul ......

I need to think about my choice before I vote. But if anybody chooses Paul ...... See...too sensitive. If someone thinks it's me, I'd want to know. I might then alter certain behaviors. But probably not. I really believe that speaking our minds and the occasional conflict helps keep it interesting. I may be wrong.

Perhaps I should be posting in the same way that I talk to Sheila in private? Geez, then you would be complaining. ;D I don't think you'd handle my REAL, sensitive side.

We Argue Too Much. By that I mean that jokes start on the board, but these escalate into something that ends up being misconstrued, and situations arise where people are offended, then the bitching starts and before you know it all hell has broken loose. I'm guilty of this behaviour. Also I think that the fact that we don't talk about Kate Bush, and no admin is also a factor.

I'm guilty of this behaviour. See, this proves my point I think. If we misconstrue things then we either don't trust the other people here or we're too sensitive sometimes. (well maybe not me ;D) But at the end of the day, I think we would all concur (I hope) that we're all pretty decent and honest. So...lighten up! I think we cover Kate pretty well. I'd rather not obsess about her. The influence and impact are more important topics to me. Yeah, sometimes an edit or delete might be prudent.

Mmm, can't vote sorry. Even if I accept the premise that we run new members off, I don't think it would be for any of the reasons stated. Or it might be for all of them.
My post isn't helping is it?!!
Perhaps we should have an exit survey style poll. ie Why don't you post anymore?
List options whatever they be, and then invite a comment..
That is of course assuming that we're bothered. Are we?

I choose "Other" or "All of the Above" There's a multitude of reasons this forum seems to be slipping. You can label me as sensitive for not choosing to discuss this further, but I feel it's considerate. This forum has been in a downward spiral for the last few months. I agree with Adey in the fact that I would hope that Kate wouldn't see what this has become. In fact, I probably would join at this state, if I wasn't already a part of it. It's because I still care that I try to explain this, others just leave. I have very little time as it is, and the precious time I have online and here is spent on this juvenile pettiness. We used to be more mature - perhaps that's where the problem lies. The more search the last 50 posts and see nonsense, the less I come back. That's my two cents, for what it's worth.

I voted for argue too much, but I think it's our sensitivty that causes this. Let's take Doug for example. If I was a newbie and didn't understand that whole , uh, saga if you will, I would think this was a pretty harsh crowd and I'd be afraid to post. Maybe they just think we're nuts. That's what drives them away. A penny for blueclue's thoughts...

I've lost interest. This forum has been watered down and run into the ground. It has been 'dumbed down' and sanitized. Any inane thought or drivel seems acceptable...... Not me.... Good luck on your new forum.

I also have failed to connect with the current direction of this forum. It has become Paul's 'coloring book'.... On to greener pastures.

Really. I could always leave. No. It's not your fault. I'm sorry that I'm so selfish. But I prefer another type of forum. The way this one used to be. The one where you weren't logged on 20 hours a day and setting the pace. But I'll make it easy for you - your gracious, albeit disingenuous ''I could always leave'' will resonate much more favorably than my brutal honesty.
