Lori, You are 'gifted' in many ways. To have put together a website of this quality, persue your education, share your time and thoughts with others, belies the wisdom of your years. You are certainly a good judge of talent. Keep it going AL,
I grok the fullness of the totality!

Whilst I am aware of Altruest`s aversion to my visions and predictions and perhaps other members of this board, I am going to add this one because not only do I believe it, I think it is fun to imagine possible scenarios particularly where Kate is concerned. It has been stated in more than one self help book and in a number of occult volumes that what the mind can conceive and believe, it can acheive. So here it is fellow posters, imagine it, see it and believe it ( if you can ) The influence of Kate Bush`s eighth studio album has reached further than all previous albums due to its incredible pioneering, yet retro nature. She has yet again through her sheer genius reached a new level of pop/art that will cascade down the music industry`s new and existing talent. She is setting the stage for her ultimate acheivement in 2008. Just a bit of fun Al, ok?

For YOU maybe. What good is predicting what happens? To say "I told you so", or "I made that occur"? I'm sorry but wishing and hoping and dreaming and praying (sound's like a Dusty Springfield song ) may all be valid processes; but why do it when your dreams for someone else might make them feel creepy?

I too believe in the power of the mind. However I think you should only attempt to improve and enrich your own life. Supporting and believing in someone else is great but trust that person to meet their goals on their own terms.

Here here! Well said. If you, MT or August or any of my friends were hurting or sad; I would want to uplift you and wish or pray for your well-being. But don't be wishing I get a promotion at work MT, 'cos maybe I don't want one!. Kate's achievements will depend more on the work she has done and if you and I buy her CD's than if we dream of her success. As for as any fantasy relationship with Ms.Bush is concerned, that should be kept off this board out of respect for her. Except in jest of course.

I hear what you are saying folks, that is why I posted the thread about content check. Yes it can feel creepy, the experiences I have had in this regard are enough to put you in a mental hospital. One aspect of an open imagination is you are susceptible to losing a grip on the reality of other people`s lives. So point taken. In future I will refrain from wild predictions and keep my posts within a more controlled context. Sorry.

Hello everyone!! I am so grateful to have found this site! This is my first post, but it definitely will not be my last ;D It's wonderful to be with like minded people! Kate is amazing - beyond influencing me to write my own poetry, her music continues to impress me and inspire me to create so many new things as well.
Much like 'altruest', Kate has brodened my horizons to so many new forms of music and artists including Ani Difranco, Bjork and my newest craze: Charlotte Martin - wow!
I am so happy to be a member of this site and look forward to the many discussions ahead! Thanks all! -TT

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! You all rock :-) I will definitely post at the 'welcome mat' today - funny, I just jumped right in there! I was just so excited! he he he. Since you asked Altruest, Charlotte Martin writes all her own music and is along the same lines as Tori Amos. Her influences span form a number of artists - including our very own, Ms. Bush :-) You should check out her website at www.charlottemartin.com. It's a great site :-) Speak to you all soon! TT

Hey, TT I've checked out Charlotte's Web-( pun intended)site . If I didn't know better I would swear some of the songs were by Tori Amos. Her muscianship impressed most intially, as she would have to grow on me some.

Since you plugged a website TT, I would like to remind everyone of this one: (click on this URL): www.quinlanroad.com. I know August will agree with me; but' I defy the rest of you to deny the talent of Loreena McKennitt. (my 2nd favorite artist) At least sample 'Mystic's Dream' (go to sound files) from "The Mask and the Mirror" (Sensual World vibe?) Also sample 'Lady of Shalott' from "The Visit" I'm only asking for two minutes of your time. You'll really be glad too, I bet. Her voice is haunting and piercing like Kate's. Many of her song's are full of "World Music" undertones. And she weaves rich tapestries with her storytelling. She's not quite as progressive or original as Kate...but that voice!! Would someone please check this out and comment. No one checked it out last time! So don't make me angry!

I got your back altruest. Loreena is wonderful. I have several of her CDs. You get to go back to a different time when you're listening to her music. She often writes about the places she's been that have influenced her. Very informative.
