Thanks so much for this Sto. I know this must have been a lot of work. I tried something similar a while back, but didn't get too much response. There are certainly some upsets in the list, but it was all done really well. Maybe we could vote between all these songs? Or start again with some new members? Or is there some other voting game?

I could live with these with few exceptions. I'd bet that if you did it all again that there'd be some changes. My preferences change periodically or as I discover another nuance - sometimes after a fellow member points out something I've missed. I'd like to see a run off of these before we start the new tracks. C'mon Sto!

I'd like to see a run off of these before we start the new tracks. C'mon Sto! What do you mean Iago? You've confused me as much as you did Othello And I agree, they're a pretty great collection of songs! I often prefer the runners-up though...

...that I'd like to see a run-off of the finalist's and an overall winner. Then we could pit it against the best of the new songs.

Yes I agree. Having come this far, we may as well organise a final vote which pits one album against the other. This would be in line with Sto's original premise of the Kate Rate; to find the all time greatest Kate Bush song.. We also have sufficient active new members to make this a worthwhile excercise and who would appreciate the chance to be involved in the final vote I'm sure. Anyone else keen for a one off shootout between the album/b sides winners? I'll do it if Sto is unable to find the time to make the post, but it should be his honour - having done all the work so far. Let's get the job done folks..

I'm sorry not to have been involved in the previous voting and can now see that results are in. I would like to participate in the final outcome even though the initial votes don't reflect my favs.
Thanks RA

I can assure you both Mat & LauRA, that these results were not arrived at lightly! There was much anguish and frustration along the way, including some sprited defence of individual favourites.. Are we going to do this thing or not?

More my point was that I'm sorry I didnt find this place earlier - difficult to participate though and show my true favourites I guess. I'm offering my encouragement - this is a well organised show and I kinda like it.
Thanks RA

I'm glad you guys are interested in doing a 'final showdown' - as Adey said, the original idea was to put the final songs against each other, but waning participation made that idea untenable. I'd be glad to do it though, we can start it on Monday if people would like! A kind of mini-revival of the board for a few weeks Sorry for not being around much lately, I should be able to be around a bit more now!

Nice idea Mat, but they won't be particularly long running competitions will they? 3 answers and it's all over..
