Here's another suggestion Sto - take the number one album (or number two if Kate has that spot for the period) that coincides with the month of each of her album's release date. e.g. - "The Kick Inside" would compete against The BeeGees' "Saturday Night Fever". see source here www.retrocharts/numberalb3.html (technically, ABBA had the #1 album on the 17th, then the BeeGee's for the end of the month and all of March.. (Kate did not top the charts 'til March and that with only the single "Wuthering Heights" She would top the album charts a total of 3 times subsequently) Feb of '78 also produced "Grease" That battle would likely give 'Zan cause for consternation. Also, two soundtracks topping the charts at once, when else has that ever happened? Comparisons of influence, styles and lyrics would be interesting and fun. The Board could remain the same except maybe add something to read like: "Eat The Music, Battle of the Bands" or ' ETM - Ultimate Survivor' BTW, in case you have trouble with the link go here and look it up: www.everyhit.com This is the "UK Top 40 Hit Database." ps Sto, CD Universe has samples of all of the tracks from all the #1 albums. A link could be posted for each competitor. A lyrics link might also be helpful.

Oh, I have an idea. I was thinking about the Kate photo gallery, and maybe we could choose our favorite image of Kate. We all can submit maybe 10 images (please attempt to resize images for space, or submit the link for resizing, which I will offer to do, I think ) If Sto can't do it, submit the links to me from other sources on the web, I'll resize and post the voting gallery. That should give us quite a few to choose from, unless we all pick the same. Actually, if it's already been submitted, you'd be told and you may choose another. Just thinking off the top of my head. Is it too much work or crazy? I'd like to see which images of Kate we think are the strongest. Maybe we could separate the categories, for example.... Best Overall Photo/Composition, Best Look/Period, whatever. All the photos available at gaffaweb are available in three sizes, so resizing wouldn't be a problem there.

I say we do them both. Sto' can stick with the current format and take Al's suggestion, and Zan can have the keys to the 'CONTROL' board. She could be the moderator there - with that as a new thread. I would ask that she delete all my posts and change the name to "Zan 2"

Farewell to Sven? Surely not. Just when I think he can't surprise me anymore.

All the photos available at gaffaweb are available in three sizes, so resizing wouldn't be a problem there. I knew Gaffaweb would be fine, and that would be a major source of images. However, I know that I have a few not available there that I would have to scan or find elsewhere, or from other sites.

You guys really get on my nerves, I've become too mushy, Goodbye.... Maybe Al could start a Drama Queen of the Month award thread on the practically defunct awards board. Granted Doug would practically sweep it, but not always. We love you too, Sven. Kiss kiss. See you on the other side?

Paul, before you get too cocky, remember that Al's heading towards the 3000 mark!
