Did anytone predict these two songs battling it out for the title of best song on "The Ninth Wave". I certainly didn't, but it's a pleasant surprise! Your choice this week is between: Watching You Without Me and Hello Earth Please could you private message me with your vote (click on my username to the left, then 'Send this member a private message'), saying which one song you want to WIN. Closing date will be Wednesday 10th March 2004, so make sure you all vote! Discuss either song in this thread, or "The Ninth Wave" as a whole - just don't "give the game away" as Kate would say in "There Goes A Tenner".... Have a good week

Well I've cast my vote - believe me, it wasn't hard.
It has to be one of the greatest KB songs in her whole repetoire. In about 2007, when this thread is complete, I expect this song to be the overall winner.
Cheers Sto'.

Without revealing my vote, I liked one where she say's "Peek-a-boo little Earth" better than the other one. Kidding aside, I tend to go with the more philosophical songs over the deeply personal ones unless a chord is struck with me. In other words, on one of these I do not identify with the sentiments - however much I enjoy the orginality and structure. But I'm not telling which one. ;D

I'm impressed that everyone has played the game!
I look forward to Wednesday, when we can discuss the song that people have been so careful to avoid mentioning ...

Hurray, I'm back! I've finally managed to log on again, just in time to cast my vote for the greatest song on "The Ninth Wave". Without giving anything away I feel that this song gives us insight into what I think of as "the cosmic Kate" - her views on life, the universe, why we are here etc. and the thing that speaks to me in this song is LOVE. Perfect love and compassion. God I love this song!!! (Or maybe I've just had one too many wines tonight!)

Yeah, it's amazing. All this time I haven't been able to log on. Then I took on board what you said about hitting the thing to stay logged on all the time and lo and behold, I was IN! Weird. Thanks so much for your helpful advice. God knows how this little glitch happened, probably something at my end. I've really missed being able to contribute to the board (even though I haven't done that much of it - but that will change as I get more confident) Mostly I just love reading what everyone else is saying... (Yes I'm a voyeur - "Watching You Without Me"!)

This was one of her last posts... And we really miss your contributions Colleen. I hope you get this message and post again soon.
