The Sensual World is a bit too precious in points. Why do you all diss TRS which I ADORE?

Why do you all diss TRS which I ADORE? Not me Sheila, I think TRS is a great album. There isn't a single track I dislike and parts of it are magnificent..

The Sensual World is a bit too precious in points. Why do you all diss TRS which I ADORE? Well.... all? As far as I can see -jan 16th- it is nobody (no votes..) so nobody dissing TRS. Anyway: my vote went to 'Lionheart'. Eventhough there are one or two nice songs there, for the most part I find it the least interesting album to listen to. Sorry for those out there who think Lionheart is the best..

Sorry, I am dissing TRS, I really really love Big stripey lie and song of Solomon, I love Moments of Pleasure, Lilly and the red shoes, I kind of like: And so is love and Y should I love U and I dislike the other songs.
It's the only album I dont listen from start to finish. I try but I always skip at least a few songs.
Famous last words?

i'm going for Lionheart. I know it was (rush) recorded and released after The Kick Inside, and because of this, it just sounds to me like a bunch of leftovers from the TKI session. But I guess that's just the record label at the time seeing the cash potential, and wanting to get more money out of their new star creation. Thank god she got back on form for NFE.

I voted for 'Lionheart' too. I like 'Hammer Horror' and 'Oh England, My Lionheart' but overall, I don't think it's as good as her other albums (in my opinion).

It has to be Lionheart, it lacks in every way, lyrically, musically, and emotionally, yet I do enjoy it over The Dreaming, yet I'd never put it above it. The Dreaming is Kate to an extreme of freedom and weirdness I don't always appreciate, but its musical genius I do.

I must confess I'm not a huge fan of The Dreaming, but I wouldn't say that I dislike it enough to be my least favourite, I simply don't have one.

I voted "Lionheart", I listen to it the least and it always feels a bit incomplete and unpolished to me. I'll join the group of "The Red Shoes" lovers!

Lionheart seems to be the runaway least favorite and I have to add my vote, but hey, even bad Kate Bush has it's merits. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Lionheart is also Kate's least favorite album (she felt she had to rush it to meet a deadline), so at least we're in good company.

Yeah, Lionheart, no danger..
Not that it matters of course. It's still Kate Bush so it's already 90% better than anything else I've ever heard, and at least half of it is just stunning. It's a compromise work, completed under the pressure of contractual obligation and maintaining the initial momentum. In retrospect we can perhaps see why Kate drew a line under the elements of external control over her music at this point. Celebrate LH for that, if nothing else..

More of her albums should have been completed under the pressure of contractual obligation.- Lionheart is better than 96% of all her tracks released since HoL and is better than 68% of all her tracks up to and including HoL.
