I went with Xan's choice of You're the One for the reasons she stated so well. It is a startlingly honest outpouring of emotion - totally unexpected.
Not that it was an easy choice of course. I was tempted by Get Out of my House and Breathing, not to mention the moving tale of self sacrifice that is The Kick Inside, but YTO had to be The One for me.
nb - wasn't the original final song on the Sensual World album "This Woman's Work"? As I recall, "Walk Straight Down The Middle" appeared later on the CD version..
"Fear me Doctor, I've killed hundreds of Timelords." "No, fear me, I killed them all.."
Oooh tough one. Toss-up between Breathing & The Kick Inside, but I went for TKI. The song is about "her end" and she's leaving (well killing herself)... a very appropriate finisher (is that a word ;D ) I think.
I'm sorry, but for the longest time I couldn't hear the ending of "You're the One" without being reminded of The Archies.
Oooooh nooooo! Now I'm gonna have to try not to think of that! Kind of like I try not to think of Fred Flintstone when I hear The Saxophone Song, which I have come to love more in the past month or so (I'm kind of seeing a saxophone player. That might have something to do with it, ya think?)
I was going to vote for You're the One but I just can't resist Breathing so there you have it.
I feel sorry for Hammer Horror. The gong at the end deserves something, doesn't it?
Slooshy sloshy slooshy sloshy get that dirty shirty clean. Slooshy sloshy slooshy sloshy make those cuffs and collars gleam. Everything clean and shiny.
