"And dream of sheep": I will never forget my amazement on this direction the album had taken the first time I heard that song. For me it was like taking a tour in a wonderfull new world called "Kate Bush Kingdom" (or should I say Queendom.. nah..)
"And we thought it was all over, but it wasn't. It hadn't started yet...."
I voted for ''Cloudbusting" A great collaborative effort that just nudged out ''RUTH'' as my favorite. It might change tomorrow. But ''Running Up That Hill'' is straight up Kate - her signature piece. ''Cloudbusting took more vision and co-ordination.
Can totally dig that! It used to be my favorite but when I heard "Hello Earth" on headphones on a swingset off of a lake in the northwoods as I saw lightning crash on the lake when I was 18---oh you had to be there...
Slooshy sloshy slooshy sloshy get that dirty shirty clean. Slooshy sloshy slooshy sloshy make those cuffs and collars gleam. Everything clean and shiny.
This is actually an impossible choice, but I vote for "Running up that hill" (Even though any one of "Cloudbusting", "Hello earth", and "Dream of sheep" could have gotten my vote depending on what mood I'm in.)
Just has to be RUTH. It's such a fabulous song, and really inspirering (I have really bad spelling, so excuse me, it's not my fault), and it's all I have been listening to this week, so maybe I'm ever so slightly biast, but I haved a long week, so it's the best song for right now.
