My comment was made on the basis of the rules as I understood them and on discussions we have had about this matter before. Nevertheless, I will take your comments/interpretations to the Administrator and other staff here, to review our understanding of this particular term of service. I'll get back to you.. And so I return as promised..Of those staff members who were prepared to comment, it seems that we may possibly have the potential to be slightly more flexible on this issue than perhaps we have been.. The rule is clear, though it may be argued that there is room for interpretation. Rightly or wrongly, English is the language to be used here. However, we'd be prepared to overlook the odd post or partial post made in a non English language, as long as it doesn't become habitual. I should add though, that our Administrator has yet to comment - unfortunately she hasn't been around. I can't guarantee that 'she who must be obeyed' won't have an entirely different view on the subject.. Fair enough stev0? I hope you believe that your views have been fairly considered..

Sounds good to me...
Ob. Joke: What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual. What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual. What do you call someone who only speaks one language? American.

Wow, I just noticed the late turn this thread took. Well, Stev0, I agree with you, yet once again; and Adey was indeed gracious during both the initial mention of the rule and also during the later exchange - so gentlemen, muy bien! And yeah, talking of only knowing (if poorly) one language - I've recently begun conversing with someone from Russia. This was nearly the first exchange: -Please forgive my poor English -Hey it's a lot better than my Russian, believe you me -I'm sorry, I don't understand
