"There's a man behind those eyes
I catch him WHEN he laid eyes on her,
He got the feeling they had met BEFORE the music started
When you walked up to ME emotionally.
It's nearly killing me, but what a lovely FEELING!
No fear, of leaving their bodies here.
And went to a ROOM, she catches them calling a la lune.
At NIGHT among the sailors was a fearful, flying row
They tumbled from their hammocks for their SLEEP
and they say they take me home
Like poppies, heavy WITH my ego in my gut,
My babbling mouth would wash it UP
on the angel's shoulders
I don't know if I'm closer to HEAVEN is Hell--
Some say that Hell is heaven--I must admit,
sometimes I FEEL your tongue teasing and RECEIVING
---receiving---receiving----receiving...
You won't HEAR him before I go to sleep
And focus on the DAY we took our own mystery tour
And got completely lost
somewhere up IN the early hours
leaving me here LIKE the snow.
Come to cover the lovers, but don't you WAKE up, love!
We should make the night, but see your little light's ALIVE
the territorial WAR is over,
the air-raid shelters are blooming clover,
flapping umbrellas FILL your head with lead
And I'm coming for you
when IT'S a plank in me EYE level,
it isn't good ENOUGH--
Life is SAD, she makes me feel like an old MAN.
I will be an astronaut and find Peter Pan---
second star on the RIGHT thing to do?
Who calls me from the other SIDE from you.
I pine a lot. I find the lot
Falls through without YOU and me---
you and me we won't be unhappy--c'mon BABY?
You know how to work to the friends I make,
I give them what they want to HEAR him before I go to sleep,
and focus on the day that's been
I realize he's there when I turn out the LIGHT shining,
Little light will guide them to ME, then with a fuse in my HAND
that smacked,
Reaching out for that hand to hold--
Reaching out for the STAR on the right straight on 'til MORNING
In Malta, catch a swallow, for all of the guilty to set them free--Wings fill the WINDOW... Heathcliff,
it's me Cathy I've come home I'm, so COLD water.
'It's me.'
Something, someone--help THEM..."
That's when we used to vote for HIM and I in the ROOM and I'm coming for you.
Did you THINK I'm up to something WEIRD-ness in,
we let the weirdness IN a bed with a friend of mine.
But some night she'll come BACK love, cruel Heathcliff,
my one dream, my only MASTER/GENIUS?
I'll send your love to Zeus,
Oh by the time you read this, I'll be well in TOUCH
I must stay and find a way to STOP
'till them shoes come OFF a rock and into another MOMENT in time. It doesn't belong to you. It belongs to me.
And to your little boy and to your little in the mirror between you and me she don't stand a CHANCE, we're the first and last,
After the blast, chips of plutonium are twinkling in every lung.
I love my beloved. All and EVERYWHERE, so white.
The river has frozen...
OVER the quavers drunk in the bars out of the realm of the orchestra, out of the realm of the orchestra,
Jigging along WITH their weather hanging 'round them,
But can't knock my door DOWN feel your feet start kissing the ground, feel your arms are opening out
And see your eyes are lifted to GOD...
All we ever look for, ooh a drug--
All we ever LOOK down at the ground, missing
But I never go in now
I'm looking at the BIG hug
All we ever look for---nervous laughter, locking the door.
My stockings FALL for her,
down you'll go to where the mellow wallows.
In the WARM and soothing,
That's how I remember HOME for Christmas.
If only I had wings, then I would fly to you.
Through all the stormy WEATHER, across the elements,
across the WATER, you flow around all that comes in your way. Don't THINK you'd better wake up captain
There's something happening up ahead
We've never seen anything like it
We've never seen anything like it BEFORE..."
That's where we are up to now. But I have an interesting theory here. What started out as a fun game has turned into something we can analyze. I once did a project like this with Peter Gabriel and a friend who also liked his music. We looked at topics and words he used regularly to find some sort of message or code. Just for fun, but it did turn out to be a sort of other understanding.
Well, I have taken all the connecting words and listed them here:
when, before, me, feeling, room, night, sleep, with, up, heaven, feel, receiving, hear, day, in, like, wake, alive, war, fill, it's, eye, enough, sad, man, right, side, you, baby, hear, light, me, hand, star, morning, window, cold, them, him, room, think, weird, in, back, master, touch, stop, off, moment, chance, everywhere, over, with, down, God, look, big, far, warm, home, weather, water, think, before...
...and so on. and poets here want to discuss the metaphors suggested in the themes present here? We can move this to another thread if anyone has any interest, so it's not in the middle here?
I have some of my own conclusions, but I would like to see if anyone has seen any connections before I ramble on...
But we left off on
BEFORE...
