VIVA CITY - KATE BUSH - * Edit 1 *www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ml2hehe7wKUKate Bush by Viva City, UK release date 23 June 2008 Kate Bush Keep your little hounds of love, Kate Your shoes are in the $$%!#%! lake, and how am I going to get home today? Yeah, in action how like an angel In apprehension how like a God You're the greatest beauty of the world,
LA LA LA LA
{CHORUS}
Thus, Bad begins And I'm letting it in To fear love is to fear life To fear love is to fear life
In all truth I attend to their sugared words, I attend to the things absurd I never was to deter So take a bow I dote on her every absence I cherish every spoken word I idolise the treasured girls
LA LA LA LA
{CHORUS}
Thus, Bad begins And I'm letting it in To fear love is to fear life To fear love is to fear life
X2
LA LA LA LA x4Night of the Swallow...On the Swallow Tattoo - the swallow and bluebird tattoos are designs that show the enduring popularity of nautical themed tattoo art. Traditionally the swallow is a tattoo that a sailor gets after traveling 5000 nautical miles at sea. Often a swallow is the "first sign that land is near". To a sailor the swallow means a "safe return home". Swallows are known to travel far distances out to sea during migration and would rest on boats close to shore which gave early mariners the first sign that land was close by. Swallows also return home every year, no matter where they are, a source of comfort for sailors far from home. Swallow tattoos are also associated with loyalty and fidelity - swallows choose a mate for life, and will only nest with that bird and no other. ...But you're not a swallow! To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.- Bertrand Russell

Thanks for the information on the song. I enjoyed hearing it. Also, the stuff about the swallow puts an interesting perspective on Night Of The Swallow.

I'm with Lori..
Interesting, and it's always good to see young groups acknowledging her,
............ but I'd rather eat my own eyeballs than hear it again.

Hehe... It's not really my style either, but I do find it interesting that Kate inspires such diverse people and types of music. So I enjoyed hearing it nonetheless.

Hmm, I suspect that underneath all that racket there might actually be a half-decent song, but we'll probably need a team of archaeologists to dig it out. Now, if only someone talented would write a song about Kate... --Paul--

Should I put my father on that task again? He's having enough trouble digging out the meaning of 3 words... xP

Hmm, I suspect that underneath all that racket there might actually be a half-decent song, but we'll probably need a team of archaeologists to dig it out. Not something I could listen to much, either. But I did a bit of digging around... Yeah, in action how like an angel...HAMLET: What a piece of work is a man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals! ~ Hamlet Act 2, Scene 2Thus, Bad begins...HAMLET: I must be cruel, only to be kind: Thus bad begins, and worse remains behind. ~ Hamlet Act 3, Scene 4In all truth I attend to their sugared words...GLOUCESTER: Sweet prince, the untainted virtue of your years Hath not yet dived into the world's deceit Nor more can you distinguish of a man Than of his outward show; which, God he knows, Seldom or never jumpeth with the heart. Those uncles which you want were dangerous; Your grace attended to their sugar'd words,But look'd not on the poison of their hearts : God keep you from them, and from such false friends! ~ Richard the Third, Act 3, Scene 1I dote on her every absence... PORTIA: If I live to be as old as Sibylla, I will die as chaste as Diana, unless I be obtained by the manner of my father's will. I am glad this parcel of wooers are so reasonable, for there is not one among them but I dote on his very absence, and I pray God grant them a fair departure. ~ The Merchant of Venice, Act 1, Scene 2

^ Nice post. On a side note, I see that you read from @forums. I do as well on occasion. I love Nancy - she keeps that (Kate section) place afloat. But as with Homeground, the other two main KB formus have seemed to have gotten a bit sluggish. There are a few at Homeground that make up the core; but since their move to 'Yuku' their stats are not as nearly impressive or inflated. I share an affinty moreso here than at those boards. And we seem to be as strong or stronger than any of the other KB message boards. EDIT: In that I don't want to move this, I won't delete it either just because it is in the wrong thread. And I corrected some text.

Yes, TSWoKB is definitely as strong as the others. I look in on HG and @forums but only post on this forum. TSWoKB is just so friendly and user-friendly, and great for anyone looking for a deeper understanding...
And on Viva City borrowing from Shakespeare, I am reminded of Morrissey/The Smiths borrowing extensively from film and literature... ORIGINAL SOURCES FOR MORRISSEY'S LYRICSwww.oz.net/~moz/nicked.htm

Did anyone here read the discussion at Homeground where someone said we have too much time on our hands? ;D I got a good laugh out of that. But I agree that we are as strong or stronger than the other Kate forums, though there are of course interesting discussions on all of them. Here is the only place I would want to actually post, though.

I think that there are some lovely people @ HG. If pedantic protocol and too-far-left-of-center is your thing, then Homeground is your kind of place. That said - I love Tina, Monty, Evetsmai, John and several others there nonetheless. I just do not feel welcome posting there.
