Last night I caught Paddy Bush's documentary 'Like a God When He Plays" on the U.S. television station LinkTV. It is about Paddy's visit to Madagascar to learn more about the legendary musician Rakotozafy. I found it interesting and really enjoyed the music. Paddy comes across clearly as a very thoughtful, knowledgeable and talented person. I think I'm in love... This is short notice, but in case any U.S. folks are interested the program will be aired again today (Saturday, April 14 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET). Here is the related LinkTV page. It includes a link to the "Kate Bush News and Information" page about the documentary. www.linktv.org/programming/programDescription.php4?code=like

I saw this when it was aired on the BBC about 3 or 4 years ago now. I've still kept an old vhs copy of it because it was so interesting. I remember my dad being very impressed with Paddy and was very surprised when I told him he was Kate's brother! He does come across as very nice and normal and it would be wonderful if he could present perhaps a series on musical instruments. I can imagine him becoming very popular on tv if he had more exposure but maybe he's too modest to do that.
