Well things have been slow here for a day or two; so I'm going to throw some topics and updates out for thread starters. Please pick up on what interests you and comment. * The NSPCC has a public service spot that features "This Woman's Work" playing as background. The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is what the acronym represents "Please make it go away" are the lyrics featured... * It has been rumored that the "Outkast" video 'Morris Brown' was heavily influenced by "The Dreaming" - And a step further, Kate has (see "Gaffaweb history) credited a live performance by Stevie Wonder as the influence for musical structure to the song of the same name. Do a keyword search @ 'Youtube'... * Kate Bush's private beach front property has been the source of controversy over public access. "The Guardian" singled her property out in a featured article, I would suppose, for her purported desire for privacy. * "Hounds of Love" is included in a new Starbucks compilation. 'The Cure' 'Talking Heads' and several others are also featured. * It was one year ago that KOTM was released as a down loadable single. What are the prospects of another - or more new and remastered material??? I'll post links to any of these upon request. (thanks to members @ 'Homeground' and '@forumz' )

Also an update... A short feature on Kate in Mojo Magazine's issue titled: The Who and The Story of 70's Rock, Volume 2 Issue 1. Page 105-107 features photos from Tour Of Life and the background of its creation, elation and tragedy. It also offers brief insight into her lack of live performance in the subsequent years. The rest of the issue is pretty worthwhile as well, with photos and stories on The Stones, Bowie, Zeppelin, Roxy, Pink Floyd, The Who, Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, and The Sex Pistols, among others. Thanks Al for the news. ;D I have to say that I am uncomfortable with the line-up you mentioned on the Starbucks CD. I don't like to be a demographic, nor do I like my music pasturized in that way. LOL I was just thinking about KOTM and last year. Strange hmm?

Hey, too soon for this thread to die. There must be some thoughts here, and the magazine I mentioned is worth a look if anyone finds it... or do I have to transcribe it here to discuss it.

do I have to transcribe it here to discuss it. Well... I'd appreciate that

Kate also has a new interview in the new Q magazine About what? Has anyone read it, is it worthwhile to find it, since it's more than a little expensive in the US.

Yes I've bought/read it. The mag features 20 brief (A4 page with pic) interviews with significant artists. Available with 20 different covers, each depicting one of the interviewed artists. Mine has Kate on the cover (natch!) with a Trevor Leighton pic we're all familiar with.
Once you reach the Kate interview - which seems to have been conducted by telephone - you find a pic (again by Leighton) I certainly hadn't seen before. A side head shot with her wearing some sort of ethnic (red)indian hat with feather ~ the sort of thing that Stevie Ray Vaughan used to wear..
The text is pretty unrevealing - how she's spending her days, how she's recovered from the effort of getting Aerial out, how she's contemplating some new work, that she's joking that the next recording/album will only take 6 months etc. If I get a spare hour, I'll recreate it here for members.
Alternatively, you could loiter at your local magazine stockist and probably read the whole thing in about 2 mins..

I've hunted down issues like this to be disappointed at their $10 price tag here in the states. Now I'll try to get a look at it before I add another large mag to my collection. It's not as worth it if she's not on the cover, and I'm sure she won't be... they have someone more obvious and marketable on the US covers. I don't suppose I'll be too sympathetic to the recovery from the Aerial efforts. Not the album, per se, but the promotional efforts were not taxing.
