EDIT: Not all of these links work. But the upload does now. And you may search for the rest. Natalie Cole will be singing a Kate song on her new cd!! Unfortunately I haven't seen which one yet! Yes, I read this at another forum as well. It probably is "Man With the Child in his Eyes" There is an older clip (you can find it on 'Youtube) of her performing it live on tape. I like this cover: www.majellaoshea.com.au/html/audio/the_man.mp3 better: This link doesn't seem to hyperlink, so look up Majella O'Shea.com for the mp3 www.majellaoshea.com.au/And Kevin, if you want to hear a good cover of "Wuthering Heights check out this: www.megaupload.com/?d=3E4LG340 download of Sarah McClaughlin performing it in a 1989 sound check. You have to bear with it and piece it together, but she could have really done a great cover of it if she had polished it some. Also search for this clip with a Yahoo keyword video search. Finally Kate Has agreed to put up Big Boi and A2K a.k.a. 'Outkast' in her home for an upcoming trip. They are both professed fans. They'd wanted to work with her earlier, but as you can read @ Gaffaweb in the "Reaching Out" section" she was flattered by their praise but did not listen to any contemporary music while "Aerial' was in production. Hey, now that that's out of the way, maybe a single or collaboration is on the horizon. Surely they're not coming just to visit. With her studio right on site who knows?!! www.sundaymail.co.uk/news/tm_...name_page.htmlwww.gaffa.org/reaching/iv05_usat.html credit members @forumz Thanks!

I had heard of Big Boi's interest in having Kate actually produce an Outkast record. One article I read I read had Big Boi saying that it would be "fun" to have Kate produce a record of theirs. ha! I love Kate but I don't believe it would be "fun" to have her in charge of producing an album. I had the impression he was kidding, but now... I guess not. Poor Boi... I'll check out the links in the next few days.

She seems like the most unlikely host, not that she wouldn't be lovely... but I'm a ridiculously private person and can't handle guests well. I suppose if you have an estate, you'd just give them the East wing and be off.

OK Al, here's what I make of the songs in question: I wasn't too impressed with the O'Shea cover of the man... - the voice is a bit too coy for the song. I do like her voice however (except not for this song of course) and if it wasn't for her being so stingy that there isn;t even one full-length mp3 on the site I might have pursued it further. I've never much liked Sarah but I do agree that she did quite well with a difficult song. I haven't looked at the video yet. Thanks for the upload! I like Natalie; this is just one example why. very very good

Heh originally I mentioned something about how annoying I find Megaupload to be but since I didn't want to appear ungrateful to Al for his uploading it I deleted the comment prior to posting. If you continue to have trouble I can upload it to rapidshare which is a site that I anyway can navigate in a more graceful manner.

Did anyone hear the Puppini Sisters' version of WH??? Yes. It was well done. 'Kind of 40's era sounding. But it is not really my cup of tea.

I was completely unaware she ever sang this. I used to be a pretty big fan a while back, long before Surfacing back in '97! She also did a live cover of Soldbury Hill by Peter Gabriel. I know many of you aren't fans, but her early material, coincidentally when she was about 19, sounded very much like Kate, IMHO.
