I've created this thread so that members can have a place to report sightings of Kate & Aerial related material in the media.
The Sun newspaper had an article today (21st Oct). Not terribly significant, the announcement of Aerial, the impact of Kate Bush, her return and a brief retrospective review of all her albums to date..

Thanks for that Kim - I enjoyed the article even if it was a bit wordy in places. Good find, thanks.
It seems that there is now an article appearing daily in at least one of the UK papers..

Was pleasantly surprised to see Kate's photo on the Wanadoo home page, when I logged on to my internet browser earlier today. By clicking on it, you are given the opportunity to watch the KoTM video, either on Windows Media Player or on Real Time. Broadband is supported, as is dial-up, providing you've got all night for it to load of course.
So if anyone is still struggling to see the video and can't get Quick Time to co-operate, you know where to go..

As Cathy said elsewhere here earlier, there is an extract of a brilliant Kate interview with music journalist Tom Doyle, in Friday's Guardian newspaper. And it's superb. Link below for you all to enjoy..It reveals Kate to be as uncomfortable with the media as ever, but hale & hearty, apparently happy and at times very funny: " Is it true you asked the Queen for an autograph?
- "Yes I did" she exclaims only half embarrassedly. "I made a complete a*sehole of myself. I'm ashamed to say that when I told Bertie that I was going to meet the Queen, he said "Mummy, no, you're not, you've got it wrong" and I said "But I am!" So rather stupidly, I thought I'd get her to sign my programme. She was very sweet.. .. But I don't have a very good track record with Royalty. My dress fell off in front of Prince Charles at the Prince's Trust, so I'm just living up to my reputation.."The full interview (all 16 pages of it) appears in the next issue of MOJO magazine, on sale on Wednesday November 3rd. Something else to look forward to. oh, and just to nail the lie - the mince pie/EMI exec tale is regretably NOT true.. Here's the link: www.guardian.co.uk/filmandmusic/story/0,16373,1601608,00.html#article_continue (as usual it doesn't work properly - when the Guardian unlimited page comes up, click on Arts Latest, and then the article " I'm not some weirdo recluse") Read it, it's the best newspaper article yet..

There was a very positive review of "Aerial" in the Daily Express yesterday (Friday 28th October). I'm afraid that I can't find it on the express online website though.
The review said that the first CD "A Sea Of Honey" is inspired by everyday objects and domestic life, including the washing machine reference above that apparently also contains the chorus "slooshy slooshy slooshy".

Thanks for this generous offer ITDD, and for thinking of this community in this way. I personally will decline - I want my first exposure to Aerial to be in my own controlled space where I can relish the effect of the work 'en-masse'. I've waited 12 years, I can manage another week!I'm sure that others here will be only too pleased to take advantage of your kind gesture.

Thanks for some of the info. However, could we please post the additional information, like where the photo is located, so others can read about the news. The MOJO magazine should be the December issue, and not available until after November 3rd in the states, and I was told by my local news stand that it could be up to 3 weeks! Not sure about this Rolling Stone issue... the website doesn't seem to mention it under her name when searched. Will this be the cover in the UK and the US?

including the washing machine reference above that apparently also contains the chorus "slooshy slooshy slooshy". now i must hear that one!, it's her best chorus since "babooshka, babooshka, babooshka-ya-ya" ;D EDIT: after reading the interview i'm suprised she wrote KOTM already in 1996 and she kept it to the release also if you look at the bottom of the page under related articles you will see an article called "kate bush rules, OK?" that wrote Michael Berkeley, the one who arranged the choire piece in "hello earth", it contains very interesting things about the making of the song

I posted a link to it here before, so that everyone could get an insight into how Kate works in her studio. Well worth your further mention of it Mat..

Members may recall my mentioning of Kate's interview(s) with two radio 2 DJs. Seems that there is actually only one. Here's the details, courtesy of Mr Twomey's superb "Kate Bush News & Information" site:
DJ Mark Radcliffe, will be airing his pre-recorded Kate Bush interview on his Radio 2 show, at 10.30pm on Nov 7th (Aerial Day..). Ken Bruce will be playing extracts from the interview + tracks from the album, throughout his Radio 2 shows next week.
Looks like Nov 7th 2005, is set to be a significant date when someone writes the definitive Kate Bush history..
