Hi Cathy, let me start out by saying that you live in one of the most beautiful little cities in the entire world! You are so lucky!! I wish i could have been at this Original Sinsuality tour. She is amazing live!! Although I haven't seen her in person, I have seen everything and anything on VHS and on the net! What an excellent list of songs she played last night, But I can't understand how she could leave out "Sweet the sting" !?!?! Tori & Kate are must see's in my future, I wish I had come up to your beautiful country last night, and lived what sounds liike an unforgetable concert!!!

Heya Cathy! Glad you enjoyed the show!! She's fantastic live. I saw her on Friday in London and she took my breath away. I loved that it was just her, with no band - it made the performances extra special. The highlights for my night were "Blood Roses" (so dark on the organ), "Putting The Damage On" which was beautiful, "Marianne" which I'm not a huge fan of normally but was just so passionately sung and played, and "The Beekeeper" which was intensely haunting. Her covers actually weren't brilliant on my night, not many people recognised them, myself included. They were still nice. I'm quite jealous that you got "Ruby Through The Looking-Glass", "Cars And Guitars", "Mother Revolution" and "Northern Lad", I'd have loved to hear them live In fact, we didn't get any "Choirgirl", maybe because they don't transfer so well solo? Anyway it was a great show, and sounds like yours was too!

Dear Cathy, Your review of your evening with Tori Amos was beautiful. To be in the presence of, and having been moved to tears, means something. She is a beautiful artist. Now, can you imagine the state we'll find ourselves, when it is Kate on that stage. We'll be moved to tears for sure, and it will all be too much. I know there are concerts/artists, tho few and far between that do that to us, and it is always remarkable. Thanks again for sharing. I MISSED Tori when she was in Seattle last month. And yes, Aberdeen-Just lovely. A Beelover, Scott.

Glad you enjoyed the show Cathy (and any others who may have done so). I haven't seen Tori since she toured Little Earthquakes, and even though that was right at the start of her career, she was a compelling performer even then - not to mention a brilliant pianist with her unique side saddle playing stance.
When KB8 is finally on my CD player (silent all these years?) I will get around to catching up with Tori..

Here's a taste of Tori Preforming Liquid Diamonds with a lot of improvs throughout the song ... very different from what you'd be used to... this will send shivers down your spine... I threw up a little in my mouth.

just kidding....but I'm so sick of the trivia and fluff here lately, that I long for some controversy , opinion or intellegent conversation. It's not the same tone that I enjoyed before.

You want controversy? Go see a couple of boards down the hall...

You want controversy? Go see a couple of boards down the hall... I don't know if I necessarily mean controversy. But there seems to be very little substance being posted lately. Clever games are great in moderation. But one line comebacks are not going to hold my attention or any new members either. If I read a newspaper, I don't just work the puzzles. A bit of news and editorial make for a more varied and satisfying read. When new folks drop by, all we have to offer is fluff here lately. Can we not put some thought into why we are here and how the influences we have in common make things tick?

Tori bores me. SvenGolly bores me ................................................. Then tell us why you have defended Ms Amos here. Also if you can prove I'm boring I'd love to here it. A smart-ass maybe, but not boring.
