Just "Z" sounds speedy. or "X" implies mystery and danger, but we all know you as Zan now.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcome! It's great to find some Kate enthusiasts out there. Not many people I know could appreciate her! I have finally converted my husband, though The "Xanadu" in my name is in reference to several things: 1. The Coleridge poem Kubla Khan (score 2 points for August) 2. The home of the 9 muses in Greek Mythology (eluded to in the poem) 3. The Olivia Newton-John film (I am a child of the 80's after all) 4. The name of the estate owned by Charles Foster Kate (Orson Welles) in Citizen Kane. So, now you know that I like Kate, Peter Gabriel, poetry, 80's movies (or just Olivia) and classic film. That's a lot for a user name! I need to find out more about all of you now Thanks again and I hope we all get into some interesting discussions about Kate! Zan, I'm pulling this introductory post up. 'cos of the mention of poetry. I know you and August are poetry buffs. I'm hoping that the two of you will share some with us on the "Leave it Open" board. ;D

;D SUCCESS! ;D Thanks to Al Truest for his patient assistance and offer of the "new" Babooshka... it seems all is well and working with the Avatar now. I think you could see it, but I couldn't. It matches the framed Kate picture (my guardian) that watches over me while I type, so it's quite fitting. Only 1,721 more to catch Al now, I'm gaining on you.

Here's a token of my esteem and congratulations - Thank you, Al. You shouldn't have, and on V-Day too. I'll never catch you. And I see Paul and Adey coming up the rear, quickly. Congrats on 200. It's a long hard process to get another upgrade, so I wouldn't hold your breath for the lollipop yet. Consider our new bright and shiny avatars as rewards to all of us for our milestones. ;D

I've only just noticed. If you look at Xan's avatar, it appears that KB is ' flashing ' at passers by! Obviously her costume is a bit more upmarket than the usual grubby mac...
