The General Board is getting so spammed up I cannot keep up with it! Can we, may I humbly suggest, have a "New News" board? The new news is great, and is going to keep coming in droves, but also a lot of great General Board topics are getting drowned. Just a thought. As desperate Kate fans, we never had the need for a New News board but now I think we most certainly do...

As desperate Kate fans, we never had the need for a New News board but now I think we most certainly do... I agree. I set up "media watch" so that all such posts could be grouped together, and other members have tried to tidy up generally. Maybe what you want to see in "New News" could be placed in that thread. I also worry about great threads that are soon buried by less important comments. Perhaps we should make more threads sticky? But then who decides what threads deserve to be sticky.. Other than that, and without getting too dictatorial in moderation, I don't know what the answer is.. Not everyone is as thorough as thee, me and anyone else who obviously reads every post, and follows the methodology we agree on. Some just bounce in, dump their post anywhere and bounce out again. Perhaps that's better than them not contributing at all..Do members want to see Moderators attempting to move threads around, according to pre-agreed criteria?

I'm all for mods moving threads around to be in more appropriate places, but am reticent about the sticky thread idea. Like you said, Adey, who is to decide what is worth sticking especially now that so much new info seems to be coming out daily and all in different threads?
Speaking of moving threads, what is up with the Joanni thread? That thread seems to be traveling more than Rick Steeves! (rim shot) Was very surprised to see it at EX IV yet does not seem to be where it should in the Aerial board.

Don't you recall? I moved the original Joanni thread to Exp IV, because I and other people had gone off track with it, and it was no longer about a deeper understanding of the song itself. The new Joanni thread is available where it should be - so that folks can use it for sensible comment about the song itself..
(note to self: stop messing up Deeper Understanding threads.. naughty Basil..)
