My fave wasn't listed....[glow=red,2,300]The Big Sky[/glow] but out of those listed it would have to be Babooska, if for no other reason than the fact it must have won an Oscar for best use of baby oil.

From a Wiccan point of view I love The Sensual World.... Is it ok to be mad here? ;D How would you describe the Wiccan view of "The Ninth Wave"? Also, do you mean mad-angry or mad-loony? 'Cos either one is welcome. ;D We let the weirdness in.

Oh I'm definitely Mad Looney ;D.
The Wiccan view of The Nineth Wave. Ummm where do I start? There is the element of Death-Under Ice,Watching You Without me. The element of The Triple Goddess-The Jig of Life. "Hello old lady.I know your face well" The Goddess going from Maiden through to Crone. Rebirth-Morning Fog. Persecution-Waking The Witch. "You won't burn. You won't bleed" Witches were usually hung anyway but it's like she is being tortured to the point that she might as well confess. Also Witches have a familiar which can be anything from a Bird, cat, dog, snake etc. "Poor little thing, the Blackbird" I have many more theories but I guess I've bored you long enough with these. ;D

I have many more theories but I guess I've bored you long enough with these. ;D I'm right there with you, Peek, and have actually had the same feelings myself about some of her songs. And by the way, if I haven't already welcomed you, then WELCOME! I have very much enjoyed your imput already! Also, I like your choice of name and quote, from one of my favorite songs too. My quote is also from Hello Earth, if you have noticed yet And my picture, even though it is from Babooshka, for me, is the image I hold of a powerful goddess in that song, reigning over the destruction, attempting to warn the people of the danger. I get chills when I hear that particular line (I also like how she pronounces "tempest" Oh, how I wish there had been a video for the Ninth Wave... Have you read what I sketched out under the fantasy video section yet? Maybe you can add some images that you have thought of from your interpretations!

Hello Xanadu ;D Thankyou for your warm welcome. I have yet to check out your fantasy video thread and I promise I shall go have a Peek a boo at it . I always find something Magical and Mystical about most of Kates songs. "Soon it will be the phase of the Moon when people tune in" That line means alot to me too.

For me, it's a toss-up between 3 videos: (a) the very first Kate video I ever saw - the "red-dress-out-on-the-moors" version of Wuthering Heights (I was never very fussed on the more common in-studio one in the white dress, it just lacked the rawness & passion somehow). Her skin was so pale, her eyes so huge, almost manic and she looked so absolutely weird and wonderful! (b) Suspended in Gaffa - which is so joyful and has such an intense atmosphere, so much going on - and yet it is very simple and pure at its core - I love the gear she has on... (c) Wow (the version on The Single File) - God, she just looks so good, and the way she really looks at the camera and communicates. It's mindblowing! BTW, my 3 kids (aged 10 to 14) favour Experiment IV. They just love the bit where the floating ethereal Kate becomes a hideous demon! It's like a mini-horror flick for them! Kids!!!

I have come to this poll so much later than everyone else. I won't apologise, I wasn't here!
I note that my vote for the Sensual World, has broken the three way deadlock and pushed it in to the lead.
Of course its not a guy thing! I very much admire the direction, the production values, the concept, the err.. OK, I'm lying....
