After reading the discussion about Lilith here, I started thinking about Sophia- the Gnostic idea of the personification of wisdom, sometimes seen as co-creator of the universe, or the feminine face of God. Now, I really don't know much about her either, but I kept coming across things about her in Psychology and Alchemy, and she seems very interesting. Tannis, do you know much about her? This is also of interest to me. Nonetheless - because of limited abilities to grasp large concepts; I believe that ancient literature used more primitive allegories and allusions to make their points. It is interesting to apply these concepts - but only along with evolved sensibilities and enlightenment. Unfortunately cults and religions have stunted the growth of ideas. Some will be forever bound by the, albeit inspired, visions from the past. Creativity and understanding has not stopped - much to the consternation of zealots of all persuasions.

I do agree that we should not be limited by the ideas of the past, although I do find it very interesting that so many of these archetypes and myths resonate so deeply with our consciousness today. The past can be a rich source of ideas that can be recycled and reinvented by people who are willing to think creatively, openly, and with inspiration.

[blue]^ As much as I enjoy these obsevations; I was curious if anyone wanted to interpret the ballad "Lizzie Wan" as the inspiration for the song "The Kick Inside" ...and indeed why the entire album was so named.[/blue] [green]THE KICK INSIDE: The Song[/green]Wiki: "The Ballad of Lizie Wan was the inspiration for the title song from English recording artist Kate Bush's album The Kick Inside. It is directly referenced in an early demo recording of the song in the second verse: 'You and me on the bobbing knee / Welling eyes from identifying with Lizzy Wan's story.' The final version of the song replaces the direct reference and describes the ballad as 'old mythology.'" - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lizie_WanGaffa: "A note on the origin of this song: "Lizzie Wan" (alternately "Lucy Wan") is an 18th-century English/Irish folk ballad, best known as The Ballad of Lizzie Wan, which recounts the tragedy of Lizzie Wan, who falls in love with her brother and then kills herself while carrying his child [N.B. Lizzie/Lucy/Rosie does not kill herself, but is killed by her brother]. Kate's original lyrics in the demo version of The Kick Inside included the line "Welling eyes from identifying with Lizzie Wan's story" making it clear that her own story refers to a modern pair of siblings who face a similar crisis. In the finished version as heard on the album, the explicit reference to the early folksong was removed, making the song's inspiration harder to identify." - gaffa.org/diction/k.html#kicksong [purple]KB: [/purple]"The song 'The Kick Inside', the title track, was inspired by a traditional folk song and it was an area that I wanted to explore because it's one that is really untouched and that is one of incest. And because it is so taboo and unheard of, she kills herself in order to preserve her brother's name in the family. The actual song is in fact the suicide note. A solar deity (also heliolatry or sun worship), is a deity who represents the sun, or an aspect of it. People have worshipped these for all of recorded history. Sun worship is a possible origin of henotheism and ultimately monotheism. Aten (or Aton) was the disk of the sun in ancient Egyptian mythology, and originally an aspect of Ra. He became the deity of the monotheistic religion of Amenhotep IV, who took the name Akhenaten. Aten was the focus of Akhenaten's religion, but viewing Aten as Akhenaten's god is a simplification. Aten is the name given to represent the solar disc. The term Aten was used to designate a disc, and since the sun was a disc, gradually became associated with solar deities. The full title of Akhenaten's god was The Rahorus who rejoices in the horizon, in his/her Name of the Light which is seen in the sun disc. (This is the title of the god as it appears on the numerous stelae which were placed to mark the boundaries of Akhenaten's new capital at Amarna, or "Akhetaten.") Both Ra and Horus characteristics are part of the god, but the god is also considered to be both masculine and feminine simultaneously. All creation was thought to emanate from the god and to exist within the god. In particular, the god was not depicted in anthropomorphic (human) form, but as rays of light extending from the sun's disk.Tutankhamun (1341 BC – 1323 BC) was an Egyptian Pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty (ruled 1333 BC – 1322 BC in the conventional chronology), during the period of Egyptian history known as the New Kingdom. His original name, Tutankhaten, means "Living Image of Aten", while Tutankhamun means "Living Image of Amun". Tutankhamun was married to Ankhesenpaaten (possibly his half-sister, since Ankhesenpaaten is unequivocally recorded as another of the six daughters of Akhenaten and Nefertiti), and after the re-establishment of the traditional Egyptian religion the couple changed the –aten ending of their names to the –amun ending, becoming Ankhesenamun and Tutankhamun. They are known to have had two children, both girls, whose mummies were discovered in Tutankhamun's tomb - they both died as babies, and medical evidence suggests they may have been stillborn. Tutankhamun seems to have faded from public consciousness in Ancient Egypt within a short time after his death, and he remained virtually unknown until the early twentieth century. ----- OBELISK: Of the several functions of the PILLAR among early peoples, the Egyptian obelisk was worshipped as the dwelling place of the sun-god. The Egyptian obelisk that stands in the square of St. John Lateran (shown at left) is the largest in existence. Originally carved during the reign of Pharaoh Thutmoses III, it stood in the Temple of Amon in Thebes (Karnak), but was removed to Rome by emperor Constantius (A.D. 317-361), and placed in the Circus Maximus. In 1587 Pope Sixtus V unearthed the fallen, broken and long forgotten obelisk and had it repaired and placed in the Piazza S. Giovanni in Laterano. Interestingly enough, it is possible that Moses saw this very obelisk when he was in Egypt. Now this obelisk, meant to honor the sun god, stands beside what Catholics call the supreme "Mother of all Churches", the official cathedra of the bishop of Rome, the Pope. Modern Wicca was born out of a hermetic order called Golden Dawn. The founders of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (or, more commonly, the Golden Dawn) were freemasons. The Golden Dawn was probably the single greatest influence on twentieth century western occultism... The album cover to KT's [purple]Aerial[/purple] seems very much a celebration of The Golden Dawn... The Golden Dawn was a society formed in late 19th century England. It's purpose was the study and practice of magic and the occult, applied in ways to bring about enlightenment. Presumably the organization emerged from a chance event. A master mason named A.F.A. Woodford purchased a second hand book, in which he found a document written in a 15th century cipher. His friend W. Wynn Wescott, a brother mason, recognized the code and had it translated. To their delight, the document turned out to be the framework for some curious initiation rituals and a letter from a supposed Rosicrucian adept named Anna Sprengel. One of the followers of the Golden Dawn was Aleister Crowley, self proclaimed "The Great Beast". Crowley's magical and initiatory system has amongst its innermost reaches a set of teachings on sex magick. Sex magick is the use of the sex act—or the energies, passions or arousal states it evokes—as a point upon which to focus the will or magical desire for effects in the non-sexual world. [green]"It's in the trees! ... It's coming!"[/green]In 1904 British poet, magician, and philosopher, Aleister Crowley received the channelled dictation of a book called Liber Legis, or "The Book of the Law". The angelic intelligence dictating the Book declared its name to be Aiwass, and identified itself as "the minister of Hoor-paar-kraat" - that is, the minister of the Egyptian God of Silence, virtually the "Voice of the Silence" itself. The Book of the Law declared the dawning of a new spiritual era for humanity, governed by the God Horus, Child of Isis and Osiris... From this work, Crowley created the Temple of Thelema, the first modern group of witches. The Thelema order is still practicing today, carrying on many of the traditions formed by Crowley. - www.wiccanglade.com/historyofwicca.html----- Isis Temple inscription: "I am all that has been, all that is, all that ever shall be; and no mortal has ever raised my garment. The fruit which I brought forth became the Sun."[blue]"Isis Unveiled" by Madame Blavatsky[/blue]One morning in the summer of 1875 Madame Blavatsky showed her colleague some sheets of manuscript which she had written. She explained: "I wrote this last night 'by order,' but what the deuce it is to be I don't know. Perhaps it is for a newspaper article, perhaps for a book, perhaps for nothing: anyhow I did as I was ordered." Madame Blavatsky wrote that all religions were both true in their inner teachings and problematic or imperfect in their external conventional manifestations. Her writings connecting esoteric spiritual knowledge with new science may be considered to be the first instance of what is now called New Age thinking. In fact, many researchers feel that much of New Age thought started with Blavatsky. Madame Blavatsky's original occult magnum opus, Isis Unveiled, was published in 1877. It's title page declared, A Master Key to the Mysteries of Ancient and Modern Science and Theology. Blavatsky's knowledge of religious minutia is immense. She slices through one religious agenda after another in search of truth. "To watch her at work was a rare and never-to-be-forgotten experience. We sat at opposite sides of one big table usually, and I could see her every movement. Her pen would be flying over the page; when she would suddenly stop, look out into space with the vacant eye of the clairvoyant seer, shorten her vision as though to look at something held invisibly in the air before her, and begin copying on the paper what she saw. The quotation finished, her eyes would resume their natural expression, and she would go on writing until again stopped by a similar interruption." She explains magic as based on a reciprocal sympathy between celestial and terrestrial natures. It is based on the mysterious affinities existing between organic and inorganic bodies, between the visible and the invisible powers of the universe. "That which science calls gravitation the ancient and the medieval hermeticists called magnetism, attraction, affinity." She, with the key in her hand, continues: "A thorough familiarity with the occult faculties of everything existing in Nature, visible as well as invisible; their mutual relations, attractions and repulsions; the cause of these traced to the spiritual principle which pervades and animates all things; the ability to furnish the best conditions for this principle to manifest itself, in other words a profound and exhaustive knowledge of natural law---this was and is the basis of magic." The final proposition which Isis labors to establish is that the one source of all the wisdom of the past is India. After the world has blundered on through a period of darkness the time grows ripe for a new revelation, and another member of the Spiritual Fraternity comes into terrestrial life... [blue]Wave after wave, each mightier than the last, Till last, a ninth one, gathering half the deep And full of voices, slowly rose and plunged Roaring, and all the wave was in a flame: And down the wave and in the flame was borne A naked babe, and rode to Merlin's feet, Who stoopt and caught the babe, and cried, 'The King! Here is an heir for Uther!' ...[/blue] Madame Blavatsky says: "The very corner-stone of their (Brahmans' and Buddhists') religious systems is periodical incarnations of the Deity. Whenever humanity is about merging into materialism and moral degradation, a Supreme Being incarnates himself in his creature selected for the purpose. . ." The Line, the Cross & the Curve (1994) and the CHI RHO OK. Another wordy piece. But if you follow, it does make sense... THE SKULL AND CROSSBONES, THE CHI RHO, OSIRIS and THE SHINING...In 'The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail', Baigent tells this tale: A great lady of Maraclea was loved by a Templar, A Lord of Sidon; but she died in her youth, and on the night of her burial, this wicked lover crept to the grave, dug up her body and violated it. Then a voice from the void bade him return in nine months time for he would find a son. He obeyed the injunction and at the appointed time he opened the grave again and found a head on the leg bones of the skeleton (skull and crossbones). The same voice bade him ‘guard it Well, for it would be the giver of all good things’, and so he carried it away with him. It became his protecting genius, and he was able to defeat his enemies by merely showing them the magic head. In due course, it passed to the possession of the order...In another version this Lord of Sidon actually ritualistically marries the corpse. Now such stories are naturally seen as macabre, so 'the hidden message' naturally evades us – which is the idea. From early on, Sidon was a rendezvous for pirates. So, was the Lord of Sidon mentioned in the Templar story a pirate? The links between Sidon and the Templars are strong. As the Holy Land fell to the Muslims in 1291, a Templar knight by the name of Tibald Gaudin is thought to have carried off the famous Templar treasure. When Gaudin arrived at the Templar port of Sidon he was elected the next Grand Master – or Lord. Could it be that 'the hidden message' is that the Lord of Sidon was to get the Grail from the Lady of Maraclea – as intimated in the story quoted above – which symbolically reveals the means through which he could claim it? MaracleaThis peculiar name was taken from a site that the Templars had previously held in the 13th century. Breaking the word up into two parts – Mara and Clea... Mara in Hebrew means, ‘bitter’ and was a common alternative for Mary – whether the Mother of Jesus or the Magdalene. In Latin it equates to mare, which is ‘water,’ ‘lake,’ ‘sea’ and indeed linked to ‘horse’ (female horse). In Buddhism Mara is ‘death’ or ‘evil one.’ Mara is said to tempt us like Eve, and it was Mara who tempted Buddha on the night before his enlightenment experience, or 'Shining'. The Mara of the Buddhists was closely related to Rama, where ma equates to black or dark, a term associated with beauty and a term also meaning ‘Great Mother’. Clea means ‘to clean,’ ‘to clear,’ ‘to be clear,’ ‘to be pure,’ ‘to be bright’ or ‘to shine’ ... to sparkle! 'Maraclea' can mean Black-Clear or Dark-Clear. [Christians consider the crow an emblem of the Virgin Mary. The words, "I am dark, but lovely...because the sun has tanned me," are believed to mean that the light or love of God has so shown upon her that she is burned and purified as if by a mighty sun or fire (Song 1:5-6).] The contradictory nature of the words revealed the duality spoken of by the Gnostics and Manicheans – light and dark, male and female – a revelation of our own divided consciousness. Overcoming this duality and finding balance and union, or a neutral state, is to become enlightened and to enter a spiritual state of illumination or ‘Shining’. So Maraclea can also mean ‘Greater Shining’. So we have a Lord of Sidon, possibly a Templar knight, if indeed not a Grand Master, coming into union with the ‘Greater Shining.’ What could it possibly mean other than this Templar was a ‘Shining One’ and therefore experienced the Holy Grail of enlightenment for himself? The result of his union would be the head or skull 9 months later (although another version says 9 years,) and the number 9 was of paramount importance to the Templars. The head was a metaphor for the internal process, and gives us a greater insight to the Baphomet head that the Templars were said to have worshipped. 9 Knights set up the Templars and 9 years later return to Rosslyn Chapel with supposedly the Holy Grail tucked away in a bag. The number 9 is a reversed P (Chi-Rho). Nine days’ Wonder = Minor marvels, things that cause great sensations for a short time and then pass into limbo… Young animals have their eyes closed for 9 days... 9 months where the female is pregnant (and thus rebirth); 9 months or years for the Lord of Sidon to receive his prize; and 9 days before the new born animals see the light... So the skull and crossbones is linked to the number 9 and enlightenment and the Holy Grail – which are both seen as good, pure and holy. The CHI-RHO: And this curve, is your smile And this cross, is your heart And this line, is your path...The Holy Grail is said to be the giver of all good things, just like the head in the Templar tale, ‘guard it Well, for it would be the giver of all good things.’ The Greater Shining is the Holy Grail. The Lord of Sidon (a Templar) mates with the Lady of Maraclea (a Cathar) and we have an inborn nature called genius. Suddenly the Skull and Crossbones symbol, as explained in the Templar text is revealed before our eyes. Just how far back in time can we go with this skull and crossbones image? Taking the image as symbolic, which is indeed what it was, then we are looking for the shape – a skull or head with a diagonal cross or saltaire below - and this is found in Ancient Egypt. Carrying a staff or sceptre was, in ancient Egypt, a symbol of universal power. The Flail was used to beat animals (or indeed people) into submission and shows authority like the sceptre – hence their interchangeable nature. The crook was a shepherd's tool, used to pull stray animals by the neck without hurting them. Here we have an image of push and pull. This shepherd aspect of the king is as old as Mesopotamia and possibly beyond. These two symbols reveal the two opposites of the duality spoken of by the Gnostics, the push (positive/male) and the pull (negative/feminine). Anyone therefore that mastered these symbols had mastery over the self and the enlightened connection or ‘shining’. Tutankhamun was seen with these devices held upon the chest in the diagonal cross form, making a replica of the skull and crossbones in form. When dead, the king becomes Osiris, and this same image is seen upon Osiris and is therefore his symbol – a symbol of the ultimate universal power and borrowed by his earthly representative the Pharaoh. Osiris is the archetypal resurrecting god – a symbol of regeneration, akin to the power of the Knights Templar. So the Templar is symbolically the same as Osiris on Earth. No wonder that Christ is called the ‘good shepherd’ – as was Osiris who was called the ‘good god.’ ... The symbol is now commonly known as the Chi-Rho – so-called because it is composed of the Greek letters chi (X) and rho (P). An identical symbol to the Chi-Rho has been found inscribed on rocks dating from 2,500 BC Sumeria, and was interpreted as ‘a combination of the two Sun-symbols’ – symbols of the ancient shining ones. According to Sir Flinders Petrie - the Egyptologist - the monogram Chi-Rho was the emblem of the Egyptian god, Horus, thousands of years before Christ and is therefore a link between Horus the saviour, and Christ the saviour. The Greeks called their version of Horus, Herecles or Hercules and applying the Greek Xpnc (Chres) to him. This gives the ancient Horus the title of Lord, Chrestos, and inevitably ‘Christ’, suggesting a direct link between Horus, the Chi-Rho monogram and Christ. Many European scholars have actually identified Heracles with Jesus Christ. The name Heracles, is related to Hero and Hu, which mean ‘shining,’ but is also related etymologically to Christ, showing that these titles of the Messiah are directly derived from the word Heru which is of African origin and can be found the world over as a word for the Sun. So, amazingly we have a link between the skull and crossbones, the Chi-Rho and the symbol of Osiris – god the father of Horus or Christ. No wonder that a philological and historical war rages and that Christianity refuses to accept this remarkable link. Chi also has another meaning – ‘Great Fire’ or ‘Light’ or even ‘Shining.’ The P (Rho) part is more difficult but has been related to ‘Pen’ (pen means, ‘head’) in etymology thus implying that the loop [the CURVE] on the top of the P is a head, in the very place that a skull would be on the skull and crossbones. [One thing is sure, Rho stood for ‘Pater’ or ‘Patah’ (the Egyptian god Ptah), which is ‘Father.’ Together they therefore make ‘Shining Father’ – which later became the Roman ‘Jupiter’ (Hu Ptah=father sun) – the Roman version of the Greek father-god Zeus.] The symbol of the skull and crossbones then, stretches back over thousands of years and relates entirely to the ancient ‘Shining Ones’ – and directly to Osiris, the Egyptian version of the original ‘Shining Father’ incarnated on earth. Not only that, but geographically it goes right into the heart of original Shining territory. The Line, the Cross & the Curve (1994)Why the CROSS? The X marks the spot in more ways than can be imagined. It is the crossing point of the two dual energies and it is the centre where the true enlightenment is engaged – where the two opposites meet. With the upright world axis (the LINE) running through the X forming the Chi Rho (the CURVE), we have a dividing line, but it is also a six-pointed symbol and is akin to the Star of David or Seal of Solomon. The six points are important, as they reveal the seventh point and most holy – the centre of the X. Chi Rho:- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chi-rhoI guess GOoMH really was inspired by THE SHINING! ...
Maybe KT made a deal with god (or devil) and was therefore hoping that Hollywood would be interested in TLTC&TC, and that she'd end up in the beautiful Hills of Beverly, with the pool, the Director's Chair, and the whole schmeer! ... [/b]

I'm so glad that people here take the time to read and write long posts- we have so much deep and interesting content compared to many other boards. I think it sets us apart. This is very interesting. The connections to Knights Templar remind me of the KT symbol. This theme seems to me to show up in a lot of Kate's work- the polarity between dark/light, feminine/masculine opposites, the conflict between them, and the hope for some sort of harmony. The Hermes/Hestia parallel I made up, the Apollo/Artemis connections you explored, fit very well into this, IMO. As a concept it is very interesting- maybe Al will have something to say here as well? I'm reminded of his ideas about a universe fueled by irreconciliable opposites, and enlightenment being the centre of the storm. Reminds me of the Ninth Wave. I wonder if the number nine is Kate's favorite- it seems to be coming up a lot here. Ooh.. the push and the pull of it all.. These two symbols reveal the two opposites of the duality spoken of by the Gnostics, the push (positive/male) and the pull (negative/feminine). Anyone therefore that mastered these symbols had mastery over the self and the enlightened connection or ‘shining’. This seems to be a motivating desire for many of the characters in Kate's songs. It comes up, IMO, in NOTS, SIG, Reaching Out, WTW, and countless others.. Regeneration seems to me to be the prevailing theme of TNW and possibly TRS. I'm beginning to see The Red shoes as a concept album... argh, you guys are probably thinking I see everything as a concept album! Which is sort of true. But I swear I don't see one in TKI, Lionheart, NFE, or TSW... and TRS is so muh deeper than people give it credit for, I think. Chi Rho: - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chi-rhoI guess GOoMH really was inspired by THE SHINING! ... I'd never really thought that much about the symbolism of TLTC&TC, but these are some very intriguing connections. I especially like the idea of the world axis where two opposites meet. I need to give TRS another listen, I think- you guys might be forced to rekon with the second adventures of X if I'm successful. ;D

Thank you for taking the time to read these posts, and your comments are great and much appreciated... And I agree that The Sensual World forum is deep and interesting... mmh, yes!Reminds me of the Ninth Wave... I wonder if the number nine is Kate's favorite- it seems to be coming up a lot here... Regeneration seems to me to be the prevailing theme of TNW and possibly TRS. I'm beginning to see The Red shoes as a concept album... and TRS is so muh deeper than people give it credit for, I think. I wonder if TNW (and indeed KT's submersion into the writing of TNW) is somehow related to a Rite of Death and Rebirth? Rites of Death and Rebirth Pre-modern man had ceremonies dealing with death and rebirth as central to their systems of initiation. They indicated that the novice had achieved another mode of existence, inaccessible to those who had not tasted the ordeal of death and rebirth. Death of the old self was required before a new beginning could be achieved. And so we can see that initiatory death was considered indispensable for the beginning of spiritual life. Modern Freemasonry has a similar teaching. Initiation as an Ordeal of Transformation: There are a wide variety of traditional techniques for doing this in a ritualistic way, such as making you fast for a week, go without sleep, be flogged without crying out, be sexually tempted and/or exhausted, be buried alive or locked in a dark room, etc. Any or all of these techniques may be augmented by the use of mind-altering substances, depending upon local traditions, but what they all have in common is that regardless of the specific techniques being used, the goal is to induce an altered state of consciousness within which you are forced to confront Life, Death and your own multiple Selves. While you are in this state of reality/vulnerability, you are capable of re-imprinting yourself with a new worldview (or of having one imposed upon you). This is said to make you a “new person,” and indeed the commonest theme in such initiations is that of death and rebirth, the Slain and Risen formula. Masonic ritual “ordeals” involve being bound and threatened. Initiation ceremonies often re-enactment Masonic myth. Masonic myth has its roots in the Biblical legend of the founding of King Solomon’s Temple, and in beliefs concerned with the tragic martyrdom of one Hiram Abif, a personage not mentioned in the Bible. Because the masons who built Solomon’s Temple were not to disclose the secrets of its structure, or the location of its secret chambers and hidden treasures on pain of death, Hiram Abif allowed himself to be sealed into the fabric of the building, in effect, buried alive, to complete the last of the work from the inside so that the secret of how he achieved the task perished with him. "I was hoodwinked (that is, blindfolded) and dressed in loose-fitting white trousers and top. One foot was in a simple slipper (the expression for this is 'slipshod'), my left leg was exposed to the knee, and the left breast of the tunic had been drawn aside so that my chest was bared on that side. Unbeknown to me a hangman's noose had been put around my neck and draped down my back..." - Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas, The Hiram Key: Pharaohs, Freemasons and the Discovery of the Secret Scrolls of Jesus Can't move my arms Can't move my legs Can't say no I can't say yes Can't help myself I need your help...The candidate was questioned with a dagger blade pressed to his throat about his eligibility and whether his motives in joining are worthy. Q. Having been in a state of darkness, what is the predominant wish of your heart? The answer is whispered into the candidate's ear.A. Light. Q. Then let that blessing be restored. The light Begin to bleed Begin to breathe Begin to speak... Being born again Into the sweet morning fog D'you know what? I love you better now...Look at the light, all the time it’s a changing Look at the light, climbing up the aerial Bright, white coming alive jumping off of the aerial All the time it’s a changing, like now... All the time it’s a changing, like then again... All the time it’s a changing And all the dreamers are waking...

I'm glad they seemed intelligent. The only reason I sometimes don't comment on long and thoughtful posts is I'm not sure what to add. Most posts here deserve in depth comments, though, I think.

The Da Vinci "Canciones de Kate Bush" Code [green] from Night of the Demon (1957)[/green] Intrigued by the power of the runic symbols, Miss Harrington and Dr Holden head off to Lufford Hall to meet with Mr Karswell. When they arrive, Karswell is dressed up as a circus magician (Dr Bobo the Magnificent) and is entertaining children with magic tricks at his "annual Halloween party for the village children". Karswell breaks from entertaining the children and greets Dr Holden and Miss Harrington. Karswell's Mother takes Miss Harrington away, leaving Karswell and Dr Holden to walk through the grounds of Lufford Hall. They discuss witchcraft and the powers of darkness. Dr Holden believes none of it. So to prove his point, Karswell casts a spell and conjures up a hurricane 'wind storm' which sweeps though the grounds, sending the children fleeing from the Tempest... "A magician doesn't like to expose his magic, black or white..." And so KB and The Magician conjure up TNW... It's in the trees! It's coming![purple] MOTHER (Mrs Karswell): "I don't know if the diagrams are of any use to you, dear. But as you see, the words make no sense at all." MISS HARRINGTON: "What kind of language is this?"[/purple] *[purple] MOTHER: "I really don't know." MR KARSWELL: "I didn't know that you were interested in the black arts, Miss Harrington." MOTHER: "She wanted to see the books you and Dr Holden were discussing, didn't you dear? But we can't read a word, can we, dear?" MR KARSWELL: "What especially interests you?" MISS HARRINGTON: "The power of the runic symbols!" [/purple] *** AERIEL: 'What kind of language is this?'[blue] MR MEEK (Séance Medium): "No! ... It's in the trees! ... It's coming! ... The demon! ... It's coming! ... No!"[/blue] [purple] MR HOLDEN: " When I was a kid, I used to walk down the street with the other kids. And when we'd come to a ladder, they'd all walk around it. I'd walk under it, just to see if anything would happen..."[/purple] [blue] KUMAR: "Good evening. KT[/blue] **[blue] Kumar,[/i] Bombay, apologizes for being late." WILLIAMSON: "That's quite alright. Kumar. We're just about to begin." HOLDEN: "Thank you, Dr Kumar. Now, we were just talking about devils and demons. What are your views on the subject?" KUMAR: "Oh, I believe in them. Absolutely."[/blue] ** 'KT': KT Kumar of Bombay... OR an ancient runic symbol... ? KB's first appearance in public was in a few London pubs with the so called KT (read: Katie) Bush Band. All of KB's albums have the KT (originally Knights Templar?) symbol hidden somewhere either on the cover or on the vinyl itself. KB: "The original KT was discovered by my brother, Jay, on the door of an old church in deepest darkest Wales. The commercially used KT symbol was designed by Del Palmer to be used on the first album and it has been with us ever since." - www.thekickinside.btinternet.co.uk/inter3.htmKB: "A KT and it's sorta two things - that actual sign is an old Knight Templars' sign and 'round the countryside you'll find it scattered on the doorways of churches and things and it was just very fitting because I used to be in a band called the KT Bush band. Katie, KT. And it's just a theme that we've kept running. It's a sorta motto" (1979). - gaffa.org/cloud/subjects/kt_symbols_and_names.htmlThe worship of BAPHOMET or grotesque idol was one of the articles of accusations against the "Knights Templars" in the 14th century. Super-rich elitist William Randolph Hearst ['Citizen Kane'], Catholic Knights of Malta high-up, told his national newspaper chain to "puff" Billy Graham and make him a household name![purple] O'BRIEN: "Hobart, what is the order of the true believer?" HOBART: "Those of us who believe that evil is good and good evil. Who blaspheme and desecrate in the joy of sin where mankind that is lost will find itself again." O'BRIEN: "And who revealed this to you, Hobart? Who?" HOBART: "The one who has brought us the wisdom of the true belief." O'BRIEN: "Now I want you to come forward in time. It is the night of the demon." HOBART: "No! It's there. I see it in the trees! My time allowed is almost over." HOLDEN: "Hobart, what do you mean, 'your time allowed'?" HOBART: "To prepare for my death. The parchment was passed to me. I took it without knowing." (Holden shows Hobart the runic symbols that Karswell passed onto him, hidden somewhere.) HOLDEN: "To save yourself, you had to give it back to the one who gave it to you?" HOBART: "Yes. Yes. I had to. And the demon took him. Not me! Not me!" (Convinced of the power of the black arts, Holden must now pass the runic key back to Mr Karswell without him knowing...)[/purple] [green] THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR, or The Order of the Knights of Solomon’s Temple[/green] The Knights Templar have been associated with all sorts of incredible activities including: the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, a secret fleet that sailed the oceans, and an awe-inspiring self-confidence and courage that made their enemies shudder in fear... They were apparently allied with the great sailor-fraternity that created a worldwide trading empire in Phoenician times... They are still known today as the preservers of knowledge and sacred objects. The origins of the Knights Templar are said to go back to the building of King Solomon’s Temple by Phoenician masons from Tyre, or even the Great Pyramid and Atlantis... It seems unlikely that the Knights of the Temple of Solomon were formed to protect the pilgrims to Jerusalem because such an order of knights already existed - the Knights Hospitallers or Knights of St. John, later to become the Knights of Malta. [Today the Knights of Malta reside in Italy, still have their own "sovereign country" and are said to be a secret society for the Vatican. Critics of the Knights of St. John/Malta claim that they are a right-wing Catholic organization that worked in Eastern Europe to suppress non-Catholic ethnic groups. Wehrmacht General Reinhard Gehlen received the highest honor given by the Knights of Malta shortly after World War II for "services rendered." Gehlen has been credited with helping many former Nazi and SS officers into new positions with the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (O.S.S.) and later the Central Intelligence Agency.] Many Templars were of Palestinian birth, spoke perfect Arabic, and were familiar with every religious sect, cult, and magical doctrine, including the Assassins. [The Assassins, it might be mentioned, eventually became what is known today as the Ismaili sect of Islam. Their head is the Aga Khan, and their followers reside largely in Pakistan and India, today. The Aga Khan, a hereditary leadership descended from Mohammed, maintains residences in both London and Bombay. The father of today’s Aga Khan was married to Hollywood actress Rita Hayworth.] For hundreds of years there have been rumors that the Knights Templar were not only the defenders of the faith, but were also the guardians of the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail is said to be the most holy of religious artifacts. A Welsh version of the Grail story says Saint Joseph of Arimathea brought the Grail to England with the word of Christ, and left the holy relic at Glastonbury; there it reached King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table. The Grail is said to have taken many forms and King Arthur saw it in its fifth and final form while receiving Communion with hermits, a bleeding lance, which was also known as the Lance of Longinus, which was discovered by the Crusaders at Antioch. This last version would put the Templars and the lance in the Middle East at the same time. The Lance of Longinus was also known as the Spear of Destiny, and was reportedly the Spearhead of the Roman centurion Longinus that was used to pierce the side of Jesus while on the cross. According to the legend of the lance, "Whosoever possesses this Holy Lance and understands the powers it serves, holds in his hand the destiny of the world for good or evil." Adolf Hitler believed in this power and removed the lance from the Vienna museum when the Nazis took over Austria. [blue] ...Heads we're dancing...[/blue] The mysterious Knights Templar had an extensive sea network and may have inherited some of the maps and other secrets of the Phoenicians. When the Templars were outlawed and arrested in 1307 by King Philip IV of France, the huge Templar fleet at La Rochelle, France, vanished and many Knights Templar sought refuge in lands outside of France... [It is quite possible that Columbus was a Knight Templar. He always signed his name with a curious triangle and coded letters, something which Knights Templar were known to do... See the 'K' of the Kate Bush signature...] On Tuesday, 21 October 1309 the trial began in England. It was held in London with the Bishop of London, two Papal Inquisitors, the Pope's Chaplain and three public notaries. Internationally there were many different confessions, but here are the principal heresies quoted from John J Robinson's book: "The confessions stated that in their initiations they had been required to bestow the Osculum Infame, or "kiss of shame", on the prior, on his mouth .. or on his navel .. or below his spine. They had been required to spit on the cross. Denying Christ, the Templars had worshipped a head, or a head with three faces, or a head with four feet, or a head with just two feet. It was a metal head, or a wooden head, or a human skull set in a reliquary. (A couple of Templars confessed that the head was named Baphomet*). Some confessed that they had also worshipped an idol in the form of a cat, which was red, or grey, or black, or mottled. Sometimes the idol worship required kissing the cat below the tail. Sometimes the cat was greased with the fat from roasted babies.** The Templars were forced to eat food which contained the ashes of dead Templars, a form of witchcraft that passed on the courage of the fallen knights. Some said they had to wear a cord next to their skin after the cord had touched the idol." * However, the name could also be a corruption of abufihamet which means "Father of Understanding" or "Father of Wisdom". If this is the case, the Templars had adopted Sufism into their rituals . Montague Summers suggested, that the name was a combination of two Greek words (baphe and metis) and meant 'absorption into wisdom', or the Greek goddess of wisdom! ** Today, freemasonry has been linked to child abuse and ritualistic disassociative abuse. [blue]see more:[/blue] www.mindcontrolforums.com/stopchildrape.net/Aleister Crowley, the infamous Great Beast and member of the Golden Dawn, was very into the Templars. He was very familiar with the Templar orders in Freemasonry and he took the name Baphomet for his position as Grand Master of the Ordo Templi Orientis. He explored the meaning and numerology of the name and says it could mean "baptism of wisdom" (furthering the Head of John the Baptist links) or that it is a corruption of a title meaning "Father Mithras". Other sources connect Baphomet with Cernunnos, the God of the witches, and say that the Templars preserved the deeper aspects of the old ways in their inner rites. Eliphas Levi, who also showed an interest in the Templars, equated Baphomet with the Goat of the Sabbat - incidentally, Crowley believed he was Levi in a former incarnation... It has been traditionally believed that the Oak Island Money Pit was built by pirates to hide a treasure, but Bradley claims that it was built by the Knights Templar. Furthermore, he claims, Canada was settled as a direct result of the Holy Grail being taken there. The Templars were attempting to create the prophesied "New Jerusalem" in the New World... Baigent and Leigh in The Temple and the Lodge claim that the Templar fleet escaped the Inquisition from the various ports in the Mediterranean and northern Europe and left for Scotland. Baigent and Leigh go on to say that the Templar fleet sailed up the west coast of Ireland...Clearly, the Knights Templar saw themselves as the inheritors of ancient knowledge that went back to Atlantis. They struggled for hundreds of years against the Vatican and the reign of terror known as the Inquisition. To the Templars, the true church, one that taught mysticism, reincarnation and good works, was being suppressed by a dark power that called itself the one true faith. Oppression of these other faiths was done with the familiar devices of torture, terror and extermination.... Knights Templar of their day were free-thinkers who rebelled against any artificial thought controls or economic controls forced upon them by the controllers. The Knights Templar lost their final battle and escaped en masse to Scotland and possibly the New World... The "Knights Templar of Aquarius" existed in the 1940s and 50s in England, based in Canfield Gardens, London, and the Island of Jersey. The head of the order was an Englishman named H.C. Randall-Stevens. Randall-Stevens wrote several curious books, including one entitled The Chronicles of Osiris... [Today, Jersey is facing revelations about historic child abuse involving underground chambers, cover-ups, and a culture of silence preventing people from telling the truth.] ----- "The Sun and Moon represent the two grand principles of all generations, the active and passive, the male and the female. The Sun represents the actual light. He pours upon the Moon his fecundating rays; both shed their light upon their offspring, the Blazing Star, or Horus, the three form the great Equilateral Triangle, in the center of which is the omnific letter of the Kabalah by which creation is said to have been effected" (Albert Pike). This doctrine comes from ANCIENT SUN WORSHIP. The offspring, a blazing star, is of Egyptian origin. Pagans worship the sun, which they call the father of all living; the moon which they call the mother; and all the starry hosts of heaven. They hope to ascend into this heaven by means of a ladder which Masons call "Jacob's Ladder"... [purple] Ooh find me the man with the ladder And he might lift me up to the stars...[/purple] The Masonic Ladder ascends to the Throne of God, and is represented as a geometric staircase with the Gates of Heaven. Many cultures speak of Gates of Heaven and Hell, or Circles through which souls pass. The Ladder ends in a supreme blaze of Lunar and Solar Glory.
