Is there a decent version of this anywhere. The sound quality is so poor on what I've heard, that it is unintelligible.

Oh, so she DID cover this song! God I'd love to hear that! When did she do this? I would've got the anagram if I knew about this...I think ;D

That's the one I have, good for the completests, but certainly a difficult listen. Sounds like a far away recording at a live show, since the crowd noises are so close. What's the official information on that performance since I read at some point it was recorded for a collaborative effort on another album?

Question - Which 5 Kate Bush songs best precipitate the likelihood of sexual healing?

Tough question..Kate certainly celebrates sex through her songs and it's easy to pick examples of these. Identifying songs that promote sexual healing is all together more difficult. I'm guessing that there'll be all sorts of different answers to this, depending on how members interpret different songs and the healing power of sexuality. However, I'm going for the following: This Woman's Work You're the Only One The Sensual World L'Amour Looks Something Like You Kashka From BaghdadI reserve the right to amend the list as my thoughts on the matter develop..

Gosh Adey, I think you just made it more complicated than necessary. However, I agree with your list except I'd put ''Feel It'' at the top and drop ''Kashka'' (although I see your point in chosing it for the enlightening elements of alternative lifestyle.)

Yeh maybe I was overthinking! I assumed that you were referring to KB songs in which a song character was 'healed' by their or another's sexuality. I realise now that you were referring to real life healing.. Still, even with that criteria my list doesn't change much - Kashka goes but I don't what replaces it. ( Feel It IS the obvious choice, so maybe that's why I'm resisting it.)

Certainly be nice to have a decent recording of Kate's take on the song, but I'd rather have had something else from the album on the 'b' side of the single.

I'm glad there will be a b-side that does not appear on the album. Besides, I really like this song and I am familiar with it. There will be plenty to explore, I trust, on "Aerial"

When the original Marvin Gaye version first came out over 20 years ago, I remember my mother being extremely offended by it and would not let me listen to it as it seemed to promote premarital sex. Now I'm 35 years old and still at odds with my mother enough that I am afraid to (and WILL NOT) tell her Kate covered this. Maybe someday I will stop letting her scare me and become my own woman. I am getting better though, at least I fight back now when she attacks. Good thing she never really paid attention to the lyrics of Feel It or The Song of Solomon...

I've just listened to Kate's version for the first time today, and I love it! I've always liked the song and I think it is somewhat similar to the original, but Kate just makes it so beautiful. It reminds me of her 'Sensual World' era. I know the track is not on the album, but I'm excited about 'Aerial' even more now. Along with KOTM, I think the album is gonna be amazing, way better than 'The Red Shoes.' Max

Just got it today, and uh, erm, uh, She doesn't really seem to be "feeling" the lyrics like I expected. It is always dangerous to "expect" I realize that, but I'm a bit disappointed. First of all the song is at least one minute too long. Secondly I guess my expectations were so high that I thought the idea of her covering this could actually alter my sexual preference--not the case. I still prefer "outties" But it hasn't kept me from listening to it 30 times tonight! ;D I really think this is a great (although not very emotional) cover that cannot be justified by being 6 minutes long. A 40 second fade? But I do like that it is funkier than I expected and hey---have you ever heard funkier Ulliean pipes in your life?? Rock on! It is kind of sexy when she says "Heal Me Baby!" Or am I going to be sad to find out she is actually saying "Healing baby"
