I disagree. I find it to be a refreshing and fantastic collaberation. Even so, they never agreed.

Agreed.
Much derided by many KB fans and used to illustrate their assertion that The Red Shoes is not a good Bush album. Not a position I could support..
I like the collaboration for it's lightness of touch and it's demonstration that her pop sensibilities remain(ed) intact when she wanted to display them.

Say what you will, but I yam what I yam and I likes what I likes. AND I LOOOOVE THIS SONG!!! Of course they are not going to meet up fully eye to eye--they are both control freaks! That's precisely what fascinates me about this collaberation. Sure beats what he did for Dale Bozzio or Sheena Easton or Sheila E. or Appalonia... (the obnoxious 3 dots again )

Do you think the collaborations on "Red Shoes" caused her to avoid 'big name' stars on her new album? And after the Prince fallout, OutKast doesn't have a chance of an audience with her. Kate is just too set in her ways now, I think, and she knows it and is comfortable with the fact. So am I.

I think The Red Shoes is a highly under-rated album (although I'm surprised to see all the TRS fans coming out of the woodwork lately). However, this song still makes me gag.

I agree that it is very under-rated as well. And I don't even hate this song - I just don't consider it a Kate Bush song, regardless of how it was engineered. TRS may eventually find favor with the fans that have not caught on to the fact that orginality is sometimes hard to embrace at first. It grows on me as time goes by even more. I bet I won't adore the new album right away - not all of it anyway. I will reserve judgement 'til I get to know it.

Despite your ever expanding understanding Hank, you appear to remain firmly entrenched in your beliefs. Being in control as I am sure you experience from time to time is not always the best way to be in control.

After all neither of us are right.

Every one of our comfort zones interfere with each other that is the nature of life. Being aware of them helps in the harmonisation process so we can synthesise the treaty.
After all, it is the alignment of vibration that brings us great music....

After all, it is the alignment of vibration that brings us great music.... Incongruity provides escape from the mundane. Being able to tune in and tune out is a freedom only wisdom and control can provide, When my intent is pure there is peace in my heart, whether others understand me or not.

I'm just too damn hard-headed to let anyone think I agree too easily. I like to form my own conclusions. But thanks for the compliment.
