Not recently, sadly. Last time it made my knitting needles go rusty. These days I restrict myself to tilting at windmills..

My passion for architecture and construction, my LOVE AFFAIR with windmills, (and Towers!), say's to me that I would enjoy tilting with you.
K from B always seemed to me, like a song that could be acted out on a stage.
Better go oil those needles! Enjoy your day. S.

Has there ever been anyone who ever saw something other than male homosexual love in this? I most certainly did, maybe Kashka is a male name, I don't know, but the song has genius for this point. Like many other characters we have all formed the same opinion of him and must therefore judge it to be correct, as it can be presumed that if we all got the same thing then that was the message, without having the relevant information to make this presumption. If you look at it like that Kate has managed to convey a message without saying exactly what it is.
Sadly this concept has just been torn apart by my replaying in my head the lyrics, I'm sure you all know them, but humor me:
"Kashka from Baghdad, Lives in sin, they say, With another man, But no one knows who.”
He lives in sin with "another man" which tells us, without doubt, that he is also a man, because another states that the person is one as well as the other. So he, and the other, with whom he lives and loves, is a man. Well, now I understand. Though I have left the top paragraph as I think it sounds good.

You're not alone Tabatha. I missed the word "another"--a very important word in understanding this song.

I disagree about Kashka being a man. I think Kashka is a woman living with a man who is not her husband. The idea of the music, the placement of Kashka as being from Baghdad, and the actions that her and her man carry out - they all suggest to me that Kashka is a woman, mainly because a lot of Iraqi women are forced into arranged marriages.
I can hardly isten to this song. One of my friends, a bipolar self-harmer, calls this song her cutting anthem. It certainly highlights for both of us our dark moments in which we cannot be like Kashka and her man and have our happiness.
