August,
'Lionheart' and 'The Dreaming' are two of my favorites. Let me know if you agree that they are almost diametrically opposite in tone though. I really love the diversity and unique qualities of Kate's work.

I think it is interesting that you all find the earlier :)albums more appealing. Personally I prefer Kate`s later work. That is not to say I don`t like the first few albums because I love everything she has done! I just adore the maturing Kate and wonder how her new work will affect me.

That's a good point MT. I will agree that the earlier work still appeals to me most. I too would chose "The Kick Inside" as in my top three. The early work is so vibrant. But you are correct that her music has, and will be, evolved. I will just love it for different reasons. It will be interesting to see how Kate has grown over the past decade.

Yeah, Kate's earlier work is my fave. But don't get me wrong, I love her later work too. Well, 'HoL' & 'TSW', still can't get away with 'TRS' though

For me, Kate was first a sweet faery, gently caressing your ears. Then a great siren, drawing you into her spell. Next, a great mother awaiting fertilisation. And finally, the beautiful, mature lady, with a smile you would kill for.

Her rare innocence has been maintained, I think through the years, by the sheer force of her will. Kate Bush is far stronger than her diminutive persona appears. I think her mother's influence had much to do with her growth and developmnt as a human being first and a woman and artist thereafter.
Her new work will show her evolution. She is taking great care with this project. If it is not critically acclaimed, she will hurt deeply (my opinion based on 'TRS") but she still has the courage to push foward. That is inspirational to me.

Lori I read your e-mail tonight 5/16/03 and the strangest thing is that I was listening to Hounds Of Love at the time. I am a bit psychic and these things happen. I also think the lunar eclipse has something to do about it. I also read the Tarot but I prefer not to do so online.
Strange Phenomena indeed, Rob

I found this through a Kate News & information website, maybe Cloudbusting? I was doing the usual check for any new information on the new album. I had found some of the older sites don't get updated very often. Particularly the Gaffaweb. I even tried to email someone listed as responsible for that site with new information, and the email was invaild. Anyone know what's the situation at that site? This one looked like there was some current traffic, so I stopped in!

Speaking of new Kate Bush websites, has anyone looked at the new (well, I think it's new ) "Cathy" website. It's the book that her brother published several years ago of photography of Kate from her childhood. The book is very rare and expensive on Ebay, but a kind fan took pity on us and developed a website with the photos! ;D If you can't find it, I think the is the link: home.att.net/~james51453/She was very photogenic even then, don't you think?
