This board has gone through several makeovers in it's two year run. To keep it, hopefully, viable; I'm going to encourage more thought and comparisons in the playlists. The following complete video's are by artist's who share Kate's sense of visual artistry combined with thematic clues to the songs', perhaps myriad, meaning's. To spur discussion, please match imagery and theme's in these video's to these three Kate Bush efforts Love and Anger This Woman's Work The Sensual World Elaborate on your observations or, better yet, make comparison's of your own. Select the video's in blue and then key in your connection speed. You may also 'right click' on the screen to zoom in for a full screen showing. Here's the Playlist: Beth Orton "Concrete Sky" - click hereBryan Ferry "Mamouna" - click hereMassive Attack "Protection" - click here

i found a similarity between the sensual world and the beth orton video How? The obvious correlation is the feel of the set. i.e. the hands on relationship with the environment. Also the way Beth moves. albeit not graceful dancing; it still is a progressive and celebratory procession, seemingly influenced by ''The Sensual World." Anybody else agree that although visually not that close, the themes in this song are the closest of the three to a Kate Bush effort in''This Woman's Work" Strength, gender identity, reflections on life experiences and moments shared. Also regret and despair are recurrent notions too in both. And what about the empty car seat in the last scene of this remarkable Michael Gondry production? I also can site a relative theme to "Running up That Hill" Can anyone else? Does anyone see the visual lyrical similarities here? I see moral conflict and religious imagery in both. Ferry's cues being more overt to Kate's subtle references. Both are augmented by lyrical ties to the themes as well. "We're just like night and day - The here and now" vs "Looking for the moment that'll never happen - living in the gap between past and future" I'm unable to make this link work

i only searched for similarities between the videos not the songs, but i'll pay attention to the lyrics also. the video appears after a short commercial, so you have to wait, if you still can't see it search for the video in the search tab and you'll eventually find it.

the video appears after a short commercial, so you have to wait, if you still can't see it search for the video in the search tab and you'll eventually find it. All I can get to happen is a 7 second never-endingly irritaing sample loop. After searching (btw there are over 200 songs with ''chocalate'' as or in the title ); I still get the same result.

This section seems pretty intersting, at least to me. Maybe updating it?

This section seems pretty intersting, at least to me. Maybe updating it? Thanks. I always found it enlightening and interesting. However, I may have beaten it to death here. If there is interest, I will be glad to revive it.....provided people contribute.
