New list tommorow. I won't bother if there is no interest though.

New list tommorow. I won't bother if there is no interest though. Don't pout! I just can't get enough time for everything you know. I did listen and appreciate your list, but you might have to be patient the analysis, maybe a week or so?

I'm spoiled. I just hesitate to research all the sources and links, if all we're going to comment on is Kate. I'd like to think that I'm not totally obsessed. I prefer to think of Kate's influence as having expanded my horizon's. Sharing that is part of why I post here.

As I said on another thread; I'd like to add Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" to this list of great bass lines. In researching for this response; I discovered that the bass player is the same one Paul Simon used on 'Graceland' (which is full of great bass tracks) Bakithi Kumalo, from Soweto Township, is responsible for the great 'hook' bass lines on these projects. I wish Kate would utilize his talents.

Also, Sean Lennon (John and Yoko's son) does some good (bass) work on "Cibbo Matto's" two CD's.

I was on a short road trip today and was listening to various CD's. The Bob Dylan song "All Along The Watchtower" as covered by Jimi Hendrix, could have made this week's list, if I'd of thought of it. Noel Redding's bass work is phenomenal on this track. Check it out if you can. More suggestions and comments are welcome. Noel Redding doesn't actually play bass on this track. He apparently had a fall out with Jimi and co, and the bass work on the song was actually performed by Hendrix himself. Sorry, had to post this. Just being my usual cynical self.

Just being my usual cynical self. No wonder I liked it! I did not know that; but may have heard it before. Another case for well placed cynicism.
