I like the way Sara Brightman will include a few covers of well-known songs that somehow fit in with the overall theme of the CD.

She does display a wide range of styles. Does she write any of her own material?
Anyone else have a suggested song to fit the theme?

I believe she co-writes some of the lyrics.

I also listened to Sarah Brightman's Harem along with this playlist! ;D Al, I would think that you would particularly like the theme albums of Brightman, like Dive, Fly, and La Luna. Plays right into your weekly playlist, don't you think? Another CD from my collection that I listened to in the same vain was Lisa Gerard's The Mirror Pool and Bryan Ferry's Frantic for the track "Hiroshima." And again, for any Gabriel enthusiasts, dial up "Rhythm of the Heat" or "San Jacinto"!

You are correct, Zan; in fact I have a LaLuna screensaver on my laptop at work, (It came with the CD ) When it comes on, the sound of the raindrops are soothing, even tho' a co-worker asked if I was frying bacon. Anyway..Ms Brightman looks as good as she sounds. I am listening to Peter Gabriel more and more. I always have Kate at the center of my rotation tho'.

I agree, if only to keep new material in circulation while she labors over an album of original material. Bryan Ferry does this, like with 'Taxi' and 'As Time Goes By' and he says it takes him up to 10 years to write an album. He also says he suffers from long periods of writer's block!

We did some threads on what we thought would be good material for Kate to cover. I'll dig it up and we'll get your input too. ,and anybody else's too! Meanwhile Zan and others check out week XVII's playlist on the 'MOP' board. I'm ready to talk some more.
