For this week's setlist, I am suggesting two optional bonus tracks to start and continue the theme, which is genesis, renewal and the miracles of life, or specifically "Cycles": * 'Seed' by Afrocelts (aka ACSS) from their "Seed" CD 1) 'Them Heavy People' from "The Kick Inside' 2) 'Sat in Your Lap' from "The Dreaming 3) 'Strange Phenomena" from "The Kick Inside" 4) 'I'm Still Waiting' from "Ken" & "This Woman's Work" 5) 'Hello Earth" from the "Hounds of Love" * 'Mandelbrot' from The Blue Man Group's "Audio" CD The inspiration for this playlist was the recent thread on "kate's Influence" ("General Board") 6/11/03. Please read that thread and post your comments here. The bonus tracks are more symbolic here. They are GREAT songs, but more than that they represent the beginning (Seed) and renewal (Mandelbrot) of of life. Kate's songs take us on a magical journey of life cycles from genesis to exodus. Help validate my theme with your comments. But please enjoy the music and POST!

I went to the Afrocelts website and am listening to their music as I type this. Great stuff. One does get a sense of rejuvenation while listening to this. I enjoy music that lifts you up and these selections in the playlist certainly do just that.

Thanks August! For any of you that care to here some mp3 samples of Afrocelts here's a link: www.smokecds.com/cd/31883. Track two, "Seed", sounds almost tribal or ritualistic. It sets the mood for the development of the songs that follow.

Is this a really weak list, or are you guys just not listening?

Al, ter, ter, terribly sorry about your ego! I will say that reading between the lines you really have no idea about your psychic potential. Knowledge beyond the five senses are so close to the surface with you yet you will not acknowledge this part of your persona. Imagination rules the world, set yours free! By the way, there is nothing wrong with this list. On the contrary this collection proves that not only are you tuned in, you have a talent for spotting where the thread needs to be directed. One day you will amaze yourself when you step back and take in the whole picture and see the extent of your handywork. *Them Heavy People* *Sat in Your Lap* such a *Strange Phenomena* means *I'm Still Waiting* to plant my *Seed* in The Mother *Hello Earth* are we ready? *Mandelbrot* Life....is a wonder!

Thanks for the sideways complement, although, I consider myself tuned in and set free.
BTW, I plan to comment on your 'spiral dynamics' thread, after I become more familiar with the rubrics. There are some 'loose ends' that I find incongruous. However, it is intruiging.

Also, I'll post this week's playlist later tommorrow. Please listen to this week's songs (at least the Kate one's) and give your impressions.

I hesitate to post another thread on the board with anything but Kate Bush material. Is that keeping you guys from listening or posting? Are we obsessed with her; or do we really let her influence help guide our growth. I'd like to think the latter.
So if it's only Kate that you want to hear, then ignore my other suggestions. But if you're not listening at all; then why are you here? I guess I'll keep posting for my own discovery. At least for a while.

I enjoy your lists al, I hope you don't stop them. Adding other artists to the mix only makes it more interesting. I look forward to seeing what you come up with each week.

Thank you August. I believe you have been the most loyal poster on this board. I've been working on the new one for a few days, hopefully some others will give it a go. I'm not looking for anything profound- only that you listened and comment.

Oh, yeah, it's never too late to revist old playlists that you may have missed.

LOL! You've locked it...no-one can reply! There should be an unlock button somewhere...probably in the same place as the lock one! I'll save my comments in a word file and post them when it unlocks!

Al, you've got to carry on producing these play lists. The extra songs other than Kate's are like spicing up a great meal. So keep cooking man!
