I erroneously asked how he came up with the name; however the webmistress Silvia apparently coined it. Maybe it's refering to her anti-establishment stance on women's role in a mysogynistic industry. So did you ask the webmistress?

So did you ask the webmistress? No. She sounds scary.

For the Yanks among us... When listening to "Do Bears", it is useful to know that in the UK "shagging" is/was slang for, errr, "doing what comes naturally". I learned this fact during a visit to England with other students from my women's college in South Carolina. At that time, there was a dance with the same name that was very popular in the Carolinas. The English friends we made always seemed surprised when we told them how we enjoyed shagging, and offered to show them how... ;D Yes I can quite imagine the response, something like no doubt. Cultural differences eh, don't you just love 'em?

www.radiokeneally.com/playing.phpMIKE KENEALLY Mike is certainly one of my favourite arteeests (as they'd say in Monty Python). I can't define him, so I won't try. Whatever you listen to first you can rely that it's not what he does all the time. What I'm trying to say is, he is very very versatile. I'm pretty new to his music but luckily a friend put me on to him and now I listen most days. Enjoy RA ;D

He does seem very versatile. I did not see the Pink Floyd connection (that was asserted) so much as I did Steve Khan and Michel Columbier. I believe you said you liked Chick Corea as well. I hear (and read ) a similarity there too. Mat, you would enjoy this artist also if you're a Pat Methany fan. Many know that Weather Report is one of my all time favorites, so this music is easy for me to digest. Thanks for the link!

Hi Al - I don't know about the Pink Floyd connection (I'd make none towards Mr Keneally) where did you see that? I am so pleased you like him as he's a recent find for me. Although I've listened to Frank Zappa over the years, apart from Hot Rats, I can't say I have been a BIG fan but am well aware of his genius. But Mike, I think, is a lost diamond of the musical world. I would recommend you hearing Wooden Smoke for starters, it's an easy listen and I can't imagine anyone finding anything not to like in it. My current favourite though is 'Dancing' and I have many different version of his songs both live and studio - and a link to a friend with a catalogue of Mike's performances over the years. Keep in touch on this topic - I'm interested to see if I get further Keneally converts and I'm happy to link you to further information. Chick C - well I saw him once and I like a bit of funk at times, but it doesnt go much further than that really.

Cathy, I used Michael Palins forum for a while. There are several but one of them mainly focused on travel. However, I really do enjoy using the places where you find sketches and anything about Terry Gilliam especially.
I've enjoyed his films so much over the years "Time Bandits" "Fisher King" "Fear and Loathing".........the list goes on. Brazil is one that I'm still watching more recently as it takes quite a bit of getting in to.
Holy Grail and Life of Brian and Fisher King though are regulars in this household. Thanks for all the links and fun.

NB: Good luck Al
