I haven't done anything silly on this board in days, so I was overdue.

Am I looking forward? Any more forward and my eyes would fall out! I keep putting them back And I am still only thinking about getting me an Ipod.

Of course I am! In a relaxed kinda way, but certainly. You a cool dude, aintya? Well, what I meant to say is that I was all excited for the past couple months, so i'm more relaxed now.. I knew the album would come out at this time. If I'm not mistaken, it's almost the exact date as The Red shoes album... Originally meant to be released in early September, then it got pushed to early October, till its final release in early November... the 4th if I remember correctly. It's a Hecate thing.

It was the third of November, I remember it like yesterday (oh wait--I don't remember yesterday! ) It was Del's birthday right after she broke up with him. (SUGAR! HONEY? DARLING!) River Phoenix died just then. "Top of The City" always makes me think of him. We have been crawling up the walls, blood under our fingernails, waiting for 12 years! The thought "What if it sucks?" is so scary I can't even accept that as an option! I crawled up the wall so high I cannot possibly look down! DON'T LOOK DOWN! IT'S GONNA BE GREAT! Oh I hope oh please!!!

"If it sucks" - I just don't see this as even a possibility.. It's conceivable that some may not like it (as was the case with TRS), but given her notable quality control it could never be rubbish. And if anyone doesn't like it - well, "nobody died" as they say. It's just that they'll have a long wait for the next one..(!)

i don't think that a double album that she worked so much on it can ever suck

The even slight possibility of it lacking in complete perfection is a thought which hasn't crossed my mind. Twelve years she's been working on this, it took her two to do The Dreaming and three to do The Hounds of Love, irrefutably her best albums. And she has had so many new experiences and feelings to write about, twelve years is a lot of time to find inspiration, even for a double album.
So this niggling little thought one or two of the forum members may have about the new album is ludicrous, preposterous and completely unfounded, as everything Kate does is emotive, inspiring, meaningful and just all-round fabulous. I expect nothing less from the new album.

This is true - after Return of the Jedi, George Lucas worked so many years on The Phantom Menace, and we all know how wonderful THAT was!

I cast that "NO" (new album? what new album?) vote on behalf of amazon.co.uk, which apparently still does not have a pre-order listing for the new album. Seems a little strange to me, especially since amazon.com has listed it for about 10 days now (though it was pretty hard to find before today).

Especially when it is so unvarnished. Anyway the analogy is not the same. After all this isn't TKI-8 or a mass marketing event. Her talent and sensibilities, I trust, will surely meet with my approval. And I would trust her talents over your judgement should you deem it unworthy.
