Apologies to each of you. It is clear I have much to learn. Nicely done Obi, I am suitably disarmed.. That version of your message I like, and of course you speak of something we've all experienced I'm sure.

I hope you do publish it, Doug, as I believe you should follow your dreams. People may disagree with me here, I know, but; let them. I like my opinion, they are entitled to theirs and I am entitled to mine. So I say just go ahead and do it. What's the worst that can happen? Personally, I doubt you'll upset Kate with it (thoughi've not actually seen any of it) - she'll probably be pleased she inspires you so much, either that or not care either way. I read somewhere that she 'doesn't like losing her temper' and 'assumes annoyance but never means it' or something like that anyway. Go for it!

Cathy O Cathy, such support I'll never forget! Once written and posted then forever recorded. Oh the fortune of future historians and the ease with which they can research material from this goldmine!
Dare we believe in ourselves that we have such a profound effect on what is to come? Or should we confine ourselves to the vault of the insane and the misunderstood?
Our lives have more meaning than we can possibly imagine. Leap the chasm to a new level or be eternally bound by our fear of being too close to the edge.

Leap the chasm to a new level or be eternally bound by our fear of being too close to the edge. Or just make a new edge.

Or just make a new edge. Hey, pushing back the envelope, of course. Thankyou Ima. You'll never know the effect you have had!

For me there is no doubt; ideas and creative energy have lives of their own. Each of us have a unique access to the world of the new. Yet as Altruest has repeatedly pointed out the fact that we are all connected means that on occasion this creative energy spreads throughout the community. Glad you feel the energy Joeydeeks!

What I find so fascinating about existence is its ever evolving nature. Each understanding is but a level upon which new knowing can be based. Forever searching on the journey, each stop a view to be appreciated, experienced and fed back to that part of yourself that knows: Our awareness is beauty recognised.

Yet the ignorance of tradition often puts peaceful existence at odds with unconventional thinking. Wisdom comes from the peaceful negotiation of ideas. Vigilance is necessary to bring other's along... by shining the light of truth and justice on every dark corner of hatred and fear. You must find beauty within the profane - or dark places - to lift humanity to a higher form.

Wisdom, like the eastern idea of The Tao cannot be named lest it cease to be wisdom.
The polarisation of good/evil, light/dark when transcended allows deeper understanding of the relationship.
The Trinity, a mediator, a third way can break the cycle and we can move on. (Hence Neo's Love for Trinity was the key to break the system[In The Matrix])
When you separate yourself from any aspect of your world you lock yourself into this polarised battle. Realisation that your are in fact both liberates you from the need to take part in this apparently eternal war.
By the way, if I were wise, opposing Altruest would make no sense.

Wisdom, like the eastern idea of The Tao cannot be named lest it cease to be wisdom. Where'd you read that? Wisdom has meaning and usefulness. A wise mine finds knowledge and tempers it with control. You or I are unable to transcend good or evil, only to manage it or ignore it. Peace of mind comes from doing, not thinking. An understanding of opposite forces as the fuel and exhaust for the material world helps in a deeper understanding of the nature of mankind in this realm. Balance is the key. BS. No. It is an eternal battle to be sure. But not engaging evil finds peace for no one. You can rise above it but confronting evil by promoting peace and understanding is a rising tide that lifts all boats. Your Karma or destiny will not be found through thought but only by the state that you achieve through the truth of your spirit. Now you're getting wiser. ;D

Tradition is blindiing, this can be seen today more than ever.

Tradition gives peace to the ignorant, thus making them more pliable.

Interesting comments you guys..
Gave me cause to think ~ I can accept the idea that tradition is blinding, but what if it gives comfort at a time of great distress? Tradition & ritual can of course provide comfort and there might be times when it is not appropriate to challenge traditional rituals. At the graveside perhaps..
I accept absolutely that there are times when it may be entirely reasonable or even necessary to shake the traditions of another in order to encourage progress and change.
