Clue: Watch out for Eric Clapton. Remember Layla? He does something the same as the mystery 'guy' (probably better)

I haven't a clue what we're looking for here. Confused already... but it doesn't take much And Al, I think we can tolerate 'damn' on here. That is, unless, someone objects?

This is drving me nuts!!!! I am determined to get one of these anagrams but I'm a little lost as to where to begin here too. This is Kate related, right? Are we supposed to blend the 2 lines to get the answer or mix them up? Throw us another bone, Altruest! Please? With sugar on top? Is it a proper name?

Yeah come on Al. Two reason for what person to go where? ;D By the way it's 3:30am now and I'm STILL up doing last minute coursework for tomorrow morning. I'm so tired I've gotta get up at 7am for college too.

I wondered what you were doing up so late Lori ;D OK here's a clue for you and Sheila or anyone else that's curious. * It is Kate related, but not officially. * 'He, she or it' might be found laying about her house. * There are two anagramed clues, do not combine them * What does Eric Clapton play? What happened to George Harrisons wife (Patti Boyd)? (look up Layla) * If this person left I'd still be SOL There...it's all simple now.

Well, I wouldn't say it's simple now, I actually was pondering a Patty Boyd thing while trying to solve it, but I was combining the clues. I'm still pondering it. And is your revenge for getting "GWF" stuck in your head getting "Layla" stuck into mine?? ;D

Sure it's simple. George Harrison and Eric Clapton both played guitar. They were friends. Clapton writes Layla* to show his unrequited love for Patti. Eric ends up with George's wife. Our mystery person also plays guitar and has a beautiful 'significant other'. He'd better watch out for 'Slow Hand' (or me!) ;D * Clapton was inspired to write Layla out of love for Patti Boyd. The impetus for the song was the 12th Century "Leyli and Majnun" by Azerbaijani Poet Nizami. Just in case anyone cares to investigate.

It's been brought to my attention that this subject is in questionable taste. But we'll let it run it's course.

What did I miss? Why is this in bad taste? I'm really trying to figure this out and have come to the conclusion that I cannot. Am I trying to guess Kate's current lover? I lost touch with her love life when she broke up with Del Palmer. I see that the anagram is repeated twice, and I'm supposed to guess the name of a guitarist who's lover Altruest has the hots for. I've hit a wall. Anthony McSnid? Well, it fits the anagram. I'm laughing at myself right now. I'm determined to get one of these questions right

Sheila is on the right track. There's a clue in this song title "Oh, Danny Boy" Oh, and there a lot of us guys who've had 'the hots' for Kate. But this is just in jest. (no offense meant to either her or her partner ) Let me know if you need the last name too.

Danny Chismont? Danny Shontic? I give up. Who is this guy? What band is he in? Is he Bernie's father? I'm so confused! I tried--I throw in the towel.
