(in continuation from my earlier post)Wow, the Loreena songs amazing. You're right, they do remind me of some sort of spiritual/religious festival of sound when they're played loud. Overall, the journey is very insightful, varied and mixed. It may be a little confusing, having the almost primitive sounds of"Valley of the Shadows" mixed with the light modern sound of "Pineapple Heart", but it does give the playlist good variation. I'd like to add "The Confrontation" after "Valley of the Shadows" - do you think this would fit? Al', I'd just like to thank you for all the time and effort you put into this board, it really is appreciated. I commend you on your taste in music and the songs you choose for the playlist. I think everyone else would find it very hard to have the patience to put it all together. So thank you!

(in continuation from my earlier post)Wow, the Loreena songs amazing. You're right, they do remind me of some sort of spiritual/religious festival of sound when they're played loud. Kind of a back to basics spirtual revival. My intent was to progress from choas and confusion, to enlightenment change and acceptance. The Pineapple Heart selection was brought to mind because it is a marriage of unconventional instruments and styles. The beginning is almost like a post-medevil flute arrangement - tying it to the McKennett tracks and even the Blackmore Nights cut. But mainly - acceptance of other's was my point. Tradition can put up barriers. From memory, yes. I must try it in context. Thanks Sto' I really enjoy the experience of putting the lists to gather and conceptualizing the themes. It means so much more though when people actually listen and comment. I love music. I only (with a rare exception for the sake of theme) list what I own and like. You'd be amazed at the joy and enlightenment you can get from opening up to different kinds of art. Sometimes it requires patience or leaving your 'comfort zone'. But nothing ventured...

I will post a new playlist this weekend. Please respond here if you've yet to do so.

I will again revamp the playlist starting tommorow. To simplify things it will now be 3 Kate songs with a guest star who will add 2 complementary tracks. A closing thought: In light of the recent commentary from the "Sayings of Substance" thread; I wish some of you would revist this playlist and comment on the role of music in spirtual awakening.
