Al', I just bought Steely Dan's digitally remastered album "Can't Buy A Thrill" (I found it in a sale - it was "a fiver", as Kate might say). I hope it was an all right choice; I haven't yet listned to it!
I'll reply to week XIX a little later, I really love the theme though!

This was their debut album. It contains two of their most popular radio hits, 'Reeling in the Years' and 'Do It Again' You'll not find a bad review of this album. 'Only a Fool Would Say That' and 'Dirty Work' are my two favarites on this CD. I don't listen to the last third very often however. 'Gaucho' and 'Countdown to Ecstasy' should be next on your list, but they're all good. 'Citizen Steely Dan' though is the best collection. It has their first eight CD's on four discs. At about $48.00 that's about $6.00 per CD. (US dollars), it's a good deal, if you want it all.

Thanks for the info Al'! I shall try to follow your suggestions Although I think I'll get them individually and slowly. I find that if I get loads of CDs at once, they wear thin very quickly for me... I really love the album. My favourites at the moment are "Kings" and "Midnight Cruiser" - does the vocalist on the latter track take lead vocals on any other of their songs? I love his voice! I had the chorus to "Do It Again" in my mind all last night, so I'm not surprised it was a hit! The only one I'm not getting along with very well at the moment is "Dirty Work", which is surprising as it's one of your favourites. Maybe it's a grower? I found this site, which you probably already know about, but I thought I'd post it incase: www.andymetzger.com/sounds/It has loads of rare/live Steely Dan stuff, but as I say, you probably have all of it already anyway!
