Gaffa's transcriptions of the Kate Bush Club Newsletter Writings of Kate Bush stop at Kate's KBC article Issue 23 (Fall 1989), Be Kind to My Mistakes (just a brief note which Kate wrote for fans in the long-delayed issue which accompanied the release of The Sensual World). But in a later addition, this is what Kate actually says about 'Lily':"Lily[/i] is a song about a friend of mine, there are a lot of friends "present" in these songs and is part of why it is a personal album. I met her years ago and she is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She is very giving and I love spending time with her. She believes in the powers of Angels and taught me to see them in a different light, that they exist to help human beings and are very powerful as well as benevolent forces. She taught me some prayes that I found very useful (particularly in my line of work), she helped me a lot and I guess I wanted to pass on her message about our Angels - we all have them, we only have to ask for help." Gabriel before me Raphael behind me Michael to my right Uriel on my left side A Dictionary of Angels: including the fallen angels, Gustav Davidson, 1967Gabriel ("God is my strength") - one of the two highest-ranking angels in Judeo-Christian and Mohammedan religious lore. He is the angel of annunciation, resurrection, mercy, vengeance, death, revelation. Apart from Michael, he is the only angel mentioned by name in the Old Testament - unless we include among the Old Testament books the Book of Tobit, usually considered apocryphal, in which case Raphael, who appears there, becomes the 3rd-named angel in Scripture. Gabriel presides over Paradise, and although he is the ruling prince of the 1st Heaven, he is said to sit on the left-hand side of God (whose dwelling is popularly believed to be the 7th Heaven, or the 10th Heaven). Mohammed claimed it was Gabriel (Jibril in Islamic) of the "140 pairs of wings" who dictated to him the Koran, sura by sura. To the Mohammedans, Gabriel is the spirit of truth. In Jewish legend it was Gabriel who dealt death and destruction to the sinful cities of the plain (Sodom and Gommorah among them). And it was Gabriel who, according to Talmud Sanhedrin 95b, smote Sennacherib's hosts "with a sharpened scythe which had been ready since Creation." Elsewhere in Talmud it is Gabriel who, it is said, prevented Queen Vashti from appearing naked before King Ahasuerus and his guests in order to bring about the election of Esther in her place. In Daniel 8, Daniel falls on his face before Gabriel to learn the meaning of the encounter between the ram and the he-goat. The incident is pictured in a woodcut in the famous Cologne Bible. Cabalists identify Gabriel as "the man clothed in linen" (Exekiel 9, 10 ff.). In Daniel 10-11 this man clothed in linen is helped by Michael. In rabbinic literature, Gabriel is the prince of justice. Origen calls Gabriel the angel of war. Jerome equated Gabriel with Hamon. According to Milton ( Paradise Lost IV, 549) Gabriel is chief of the angelic guards placed over Paradise. As for the incident of the 3 holy men (Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah) who were rescued from the furnace, it was Gabriel, according to Jewish legend, who performed this miracle. Other sources credit Michael. Gabriel is likewise identified as the man-God-angel who wrestled with Jacob at Peniel, although Michael, Uriel, Metatron, Samael, and Chamuel have also been put forward as "the dark antagonist.' Rembrandt did a canvas of the celebrated encounter. A Mohammedan legend, growing out of the Koran, sura 20,88, relates that when the dust from the hoofprints of Gabriel's horse was thrown into the mouth of the Golden Calf, the Calf at once became animated. According to the Encyclopaedia of Islam 1, 502, Mohammed confused Gabriel with the Holy Ghost - a confusion understandable or explainable by virtue of the conflicting accounts in Matthew 1:20 and Luke 1:26 where, in the 1st instance, it is the Holy Ghost that begets Mary with Child and, in the 2nd instance, it is Gabriel who "came in unto her," and also then informs her that she "had found favor with the Lord" and "would conceive in her womb." In Bamberger's Fallen Angels, p.109, quoting a Babylonian legend, Gabriel once fell into disgrace "for not obeying a command exactly as given, and remained for a while outside the heavenly Curtain." During this period the guardian angel of Persia, Dobiel, acted as Gabriel's proxy. The name Gabriel is of Chaldean origin and was unknown to the Jews prior to the Captivity. In the original listing of 119 angels of the Parsees, Gabriel's name is missing. Gabriel is the preceptor angel of Joseph. In Midrash Eleh Ezherah, Gabriel figures in the tale of the legendary 10 Martyrs (Jewish sages). One of these 10, Rabbi Ishmael ascends to Heaven and asks Gabriel why they merit death. Gabriel replies that they are atoning for the sin of the 10 sons of Jacob who sold Joseph into slavery. According to the court testimony of Joan of Arc, it was Gabriel who inspired her to go to the succor of the King of France. In more recent times, Gabriel figures as the angel who visited Gather George Rapp, leader of the 2nd Advent community in New Harmony, Indiana, and left his footprint on a limestone slab preserved in the yard of the Maclure-Owen residence in that city. Longfellow's The Golden Legend makes Gabriel the angel of the moon who brings man the gift of hope. There are innumerable paintings by the masters of the Annunciation with Gabriel pictured as the angel who brings the glad tidings to Mary. Word-pictures of the event, in rhyme, are rare. One of these is by the 17th-century English poet, Richard Crashaw. The quatrain is from Steps to the Temple: "Heavens Golden-winged Herald, late hee saw / To a poor Galilean virgin sent. / How low the Bright Youth bow'd, and with what awe / Immortall flowers to her faire hand present." Raphael ("God has healed") - of Chaldean origin, originally called Labbiel. Raphael is one of 3 great angels in post-Biblical lore. He first appears in The Book of Tobit (a work external to the Hebrew canon, apocryphal in Protestant Scripture, canonical in Catholic. In The Book of Tobit, Raphael acts as companion and guide to Tobit's son Tobias who journeys to Media from Nineveh. It is only at the end of the journey that Raphael reveals himself by name as "one of the 7 holy angels" that attend the throne of God. In Enoch I, 20, Raphael is declared to be "one of the watchers". In Enoch I, 22, Raphael is a guide in sheol (the underworld). In Enoch I, 40, he is "one of the 4 presences, set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men." [Cf. Rabbi Abba in The Zohar I: "Raphael is charged to heal the earth, and through him... the earth furnishes an abode for man, whom also he heals of his maladies."] According to gematria (cabala) and Yoma 37a, Raphael is one of the 3 angels that visited Abraham (Genesis 18), the other 2 angels identified usually as Gabriel and Michael. Raphael is credited also with healing Abraham of the pain of circumcision, the patriarch having neglected to observe this rite earlier in life. In The Legend of the Jews I, 385, Raphael is the angel sent by God to cure Jacob of the injury to his thigh when Jacob wrestled with his dark adversary at Peniel (the adversary having been identified variously as Michael, Metatron, Uriel, Sammael or God Himself). Another legend ( Sefer Noah) claims it was Raphael who handed Noah, after the flood, a "medical book", which may have been the famous Sefer Raziel ( The Book of the Angel Raziel). Among other high offices, Raphael is the regent of the sun (Longfellow refers to him as the angel of the sun), chief of the order of virtues, governor of the south, guardian of the west, ruling prince of the 2nd Heaven, overseer of the evening winds, guardian of the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden, one of the 6 angels of repentance, angel of prayer, love, joy, and light. Above all, he is, as his name denotes, the angel of healing (Cf. Aslepios, ancient Greek god of healing). He is also the angel of science and knowledge, and the preceptor angel of Isaac. He belongs to at least 4 of the celestial orders: seraphim, cherubim, dominions (or dominations), and powers. According to Trithenius of Spanheim, the 15th-century occultist, he is one of the seven angels of the Apocalypse. He is also numbered among the ten holy sefiroth. And while he is not specifically named as the angel who troubled the waters at the pool in ancient Bethesda (John 5), he is generally so credited. Curiously enough (because, perhaps, Raphael has been called a guide in Hell) an ophite diagram represents Raphael as a terrestrial daemon with a beastlike form and is associated with three other angels: Michael, Suriel, and Gabriel in the same guise. Raphael is variously pictured holding a pilgrim's staff and a fish ( Tobit); as a winged saint supping with Adam and Eve; as the "sociable archangel" ( Paradise Lost V); as a "six-winged seraph"; and as one of the 7 angels of the presence. The information on Raphael is inexhaustible, but one additional interesting legend is from The Testament of Solomon: When Solomon prayed to God for help in the building of the Temple, God answered with the gift of a magic ring brought to him by Raphael. The ring, engraved with the pentalpha (5-pointed star), had the power to subdue all demons. And it was with the "slave labor" of demons that Solomon was able to complete the building of the Temple. Michael ("who is as God") - in Biblical and post-Biblical lore, Michael ranks as the greatest of all angels, whether in Jewish, Christian, or Islamic writings, secular or religious. He derives originally from the Chaldeans by whom he was worshipped as something of a god. He is chief of the order of virtues, chief of archangels, prince of the presence, angel of repentance, righteousness, mercy, and sanctification; also ruler of the 4th Heaven, tutelary sar (angelic prince) of Isreal, guardian of Jacob, conqueror of Satan (bearing in mind, however, that Satan is still very much around and unvanquished), etc. His mystery name is Sabbathiel. In Islamic writings he is called Mika'il. As the deliverer of the faithful he accords, in the Avesta, with Saosyhant the Redeemer. Midrash Rabba (Exodus 18) credits Michael with being the author of the whole of Psalm 85. In addition, he has been identified with the angel who destroyed the hosts of Sennacherib (a feat also ascribed to the prowess of Uriel, Gabriel, Ramiel) and as the angel who stayed the hand of Abraham when the latter was on the point of sacrificing his son Isaac (a feat also ascribed to Tadhiel, Metatron, and other angels). In Jewish lore "the fire that Moses saw in the burning bush had the appearance of Michael, who had descended from Heaven as the forerunner of the Shekinah." Zagzagel is usually denominated the angel of the burning bush. According to the Talmud Berakot 35, where the comment is on Genesis 18:1-10, Michael is recognized by Sarah as one of 3 "men" whom Abraham entertained unawares. Legend speaks of Michael having assisted 4 other great angels - Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, Metatron - in the burial of Moses, Michael disputing with Satan for possession of the body. In mystic and occult writings, Michael has often been equated with the Holy Ghost, the Logos, God, Metatron, etc. In Baruch III, Michael "holds the keys of the kingdom of Heaven"--which, traditionally, and in the popular image applies most aptly to St. Peter. In Hastings, Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics IV, 616, the article "Demons and Spirits" speaks of the earliest traditions in Muslim lore as locating Michael in the 7th Heaven "on the borders of the Full Sea, crowded with an innumerable array of angels"; and after describing Michael's wings as "of the color of green emerald," goes on to say that he "is covered with saffron hairs, each of them containing a million faces and mouths and as many tongues which, in a million dialects, implore the pardon of Allah. In ancient Persian lore, Michael was called Beshter, "one who provides sustenance for mankind," which would equate him with Metatron. [ Rf. Sale, The Koran, "Preliminary Discourse."] Here it is revealed that the cherubim (plural of cherub. Lucifer was a cherub before he fell and became Satan.) were formed from the tears Michael shed over the sins of the faithful. Christians invoke Michael as St. Michael, the benevolent angel of death, in the sense of deliverance and immortality, and for leading the souls of the faithful "into the eternal light." To the Jews, according to Regamey, What Is An Angel?, Michael is the "viceroy of Heaven" (a title applied to the great adversary ha-Satan, before the latter fell). With Gabriel, Michael is the most commonly pictured angel in the work of the classic masters. He is depicted most often as winged, with unsheathed sword, the warrior of God and slayer of the Dragon (a role later apportioned to St. George). As the angel of the final reckoning and the weigher of souls (an office he shares with Dokiel, Zehanpuryu, and others) he holds in his hand the scales of justice. Fra Filippo Lippi, in a sketch reproduced on p. 436 in Jameson, Legends of the Madonna, shows Michael kneeling and offering a taper, as the angel who announces to Mary her approaching death (it was Gabriel who announced the birth of the Virgin's God-child). On page 433 of the same book an oriental legend is recalled which tells of Michael having cut off the hands of "a wicked Jewish high priest" who had attempted to overturn the bier of the just-deceased Virgin; however, the hands of the "audacious Jew" were reunited to his body at the intercession of St. Peter. Among the recently discovered Dead Sea scrolls there is one titled the War of the Sons of Light Against the Sons of Darkness. Here Michael is called the "Prince of Light." He leads the angels of light in battle against the legions of the angels of darkness, the latter under the command of the demon Belial. In Ginzberg, The Legends of the Jews, Michael is regarded as the forerunner of the Shekinah ( q.v.); as the angel who brought Asenath from Palestine as a wife to Joseph; as the one who saved Daniel's companions from the fire; as the intermediary between Mordecai and Esther; as the destroyer of Babylon, etc., etc. He is also said to have informed the fallen angels of the Deluge. When he wept, his tears changed into precious stones. In Longfellow's The Golden Legend, Michael is the spirit of the planet Mercury and "brings the gift of patience." In secular writings, notably in Dante and Milton, Michael figures prominently. In contemporary fiction, he serves as archdeacon to Bishop Brougham in Robert Nathan's The Bishop's Wife. To Yeats, in the latter's poem "The Rose of Peace," Michael is styled "leader of God's host." The latest news on Michael is that Pope Pius XII declared him to be (in 1950) the patron of policemen. Uriel ("fire of God") - one of the leading angels in noncanonical lore, and ranked variously as a seraph, cherub, regent of the sun, flame of God, angel of the presence, presider over Tartarus (Hades), archangel of salvation (as in II Esdras), etc. In the latter work he acts as heavenly interpreter of Ezra's visions. In Enoch I, he is the angel who "watches over thunder and terror." In The Book of Adam and Eve he presides over reprentance. Uriel "is supposed to be," says Abbot Anscar Vonier in The Teaching of the Catholic Church, "the spirit who stood at the gate of the lost Eden with the fiery sword." The Book of Adam and Eve designates him as this spirit, i.e., one of the "cherubims" of Genesis 3. He is invoked in some of the ancient litanies. He has been identified as one of the angels who helped bury Adam and Abel in Paradise; as the dark angel who wrestled with Jacob at Peniel; as the destroyer of the hosts of Sennacherib (II Kings 19:35; Maccabees 15:22); as the messenger sent by God to Noah to warn him of the impending deluge ( Enoch I, 10:1-3), all of which feats or missions have been credited to other angels, as elsewhere noted. In the view of Louis Ginzberg, the "prince of lights" in The Manual of Discipline refers to Uriel. In addition, Uriel is said to have disclosed the mysteries of the heavenly arcana to Ezra; interpreted prophecies, and led Abraham our of Ur. In later Judaism, we find Uriel instead of Phanuel as one of the 4 angels of the presence. Uriel is also the angel of the month of September and may be invoked ritually by those born in that month. The Magus claims that alchemy "which is of divine origin" was brought down to earth by Uriel, and that it was Uriel who gave the cabala to man, although this "key to the mystical interpretation of Scripture" is also said to have been the gift of Metatron. Milton describes Uriel as "Regent of the Sun" and the "sharpest sighted spirit of all in Heaven" ( Paradise Lost III). Dryden, The State of Innocence, pictures Uriel as descending from heaven in a chariot drawn by white horses. Despite his eminence, Uriel was reprobated at a Church Council in Rome, 745 C.E. Now, however, he is Saint Uriel, and his symbol is an open hand holding a flame. Burne-Jones' painting of Uriel is reproduced as a frontispiece in Duff, First and Second Books of Esdras. The name Uriel derives, it is claimed, from Uriah the prophet. In apocryphal and occult works Uriel has been equated or identified with: Nuriel, Uryan, Jeremiel, Vretil, Suriel, Puruel, Phanuel, Jehoel, Israfel, and the angel Jacob-Israel. See the pseudepigraphic Prayer of Joseph, quoted in part in Ginzberg, The Legends of the Jews. In this work Jacob says: "When I was coming from Mesopotamia of Syria, Uriel, the angel of God, came forth and spoke: 'I have come down to the earth to make my dwelling among men, and I am called Jacob by Name.'" The meaning of the foregoing is puzzling, unless Uriel turned into Jacob after wrestling with the patriarch at Peniel; by the incident as related in Genesis 32 Suggests a different interpretation. A commentary on Exodus 4:25 speaks of a "benign angel" attacking Moses for neglecting to observe the covenantal rite of circumcision with regard to the latter's son Gershom, the benign angel being identified as Uriel in Midrash Aggada Exodus, and as Gabriel in The Zohar. The latter source reports that Gabriel "came down in a flame of fire, having the appearance of a burning serpent," with the express purpose of destroying Moses "because of his sin." In The Legends of the Jews II, 328, the angel here is neither Uriel nor Gabriel but 2 angels, the wicked Hemah and Af. Uriel is said to be the angel of vengeance that Prud'hon pictured in his "Divine Vengeance and Justice," a canvas to be found in the Louvre. Uriel, "gliding through the Ev'n/On a sun beam" is reproduced on p 296 from Hayley, The Poetical Works of John Milton. The Uriel in Percy MacKaye's Uriel and Other Poems is not our angel but William Vaughn Moody, American poet and playwright, to whom the title poem is addressed in memory. The most recent appraisal of Uriel is the one offered by Walter Clyde Curry in Milton's Ontology Cosmology and Physics, where on page 93, Professor Curry says of Uriel that he "seems to be largely a pious but not too perceptive physicist with inclinations towards atomistic philosophy." To illustrate in what high esteem Uriel was held, we find him described in the 2nd book of the Sibylline Oracles as one of the "immortal angels of the undying God" who, on the day of judgment, will "break the monstrous bars framed of unyielding and unbroken adamant of the brazen gates of Hades, and cast them down straightway, and bring forth to judgment all the sorrowful forms, yea, of the ghosts of the ancient Titans and of the giants, and all whom the flood overtook… and all these shall he bring to the judgment seat… and set before God's seat." THE DEVIL'S PARTY The Silurian leader, Ichtar, gives the Sea Devil commander, Sauvix, battle plans to attack the humans. The Devil in KT's TLTC&TC ('Lily') looks very much like one of Dr Who's Silurians. And KaTe is known to be a Dr Who fan:In The Writer's Tale (Russell T. The Kate Bush Mysteries: "Witch Bush" or "Mistress of Arcane Knowledge"Waking Lily (and Solomon): The fantasy of “Kate the Witch” “Lily”: This ballad depicts an unnamed person requesting spiritual aid from someone called “Lily”, who responds by evoking a circle of fire and the protection of the angels Gabriel, Raphael, Michael and Uriel (71). The startling fact here is that this evocation closely resembles an actual magical ritual termed The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (hereafter LBRP) (68). All the motifs contained within “Lily” – from the protective circle of fire and the four angels- appear within the actual ritual, albeit presented in a simplified form. Additionally, at the song’s inception “Llily” is heard to cite is William Quan Judge’s translation of the Sanskrit prayer or Gayatr Mantra originating from the Rig Veda Samhita (Book III: 62.10); however, the officially accepted translation notably differs from this version (69). Judge (1851 – 1896) was a notable early figure within the Theosophical Society; doubtless explaining why this version of the Gayatr Mantra often surfaces in esoteric English language commentaries. The LBRP can be traced to the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. This mystical sect, which involved individuals as diverse as the Irish nationalist Maud Gonne, the children’s writer E. Nesbitt and Alistair Crowley, was established during the late 1880’s and endured in fragmentary form until the 1960’s; with reconstituted Golden Dawn orders reappearing from the late 1970’s onwards (70). Its rituals utilised a mystical Judeo-Christian perspective admixed with various cross-cultural mystical concepts. Details of the Lesser Banishing Ritual and other Golden Dawn rites has been public knowledge for decades and have consequentially entered the canon of contemporary magical practices.
But does this indicate anything “significant” in relation to Bush (as claimed by various commentators on Youtube and elsewhere) (71)? Probably not – as the various mystical references within The Red Shoes either radiates from or is associated with “Lily” - not Bush herself! In various interviews Kate Bush stated that “Lily” was inspired through her meeting a “spiritual healer” during the early 1990’s. “Lily’s” voice is possibly included at the song’s inception and may also have appeared in person within The Line, The Cross & the Curve (TLCC) – her 1993 musical based upon The Red Shoes (71). There are also numerous errors in how the LBRP is depicted by Bush! TLCC represents the evoked end-product of the LBRP as a mobile “magic shield” used to protect Bush from evil forces. This is conceptually incorrect in terms of magickal practice – the LBRP only being a consecration ritual intended to be the precursor to other subsequent evocations, not as an end in itself. Given this is one of the first rituals learned by most ceremonial magickal practitioners it suggests Bush’s knowledge of the LBRP (and of ritual magick in general) is fairly limited. It is also notable that two stages of the LBRP – the initial ritual aimed at evoking a Qabbalistic cross and the subsequent procedure of mentally-visualising pentagrams at each cardinal compass point - are missing from both “Lily” and “TLCC”. These two sections of the original LBRP include various Hebrew ritual intonations (which must be spoken – or “vibrated” in a certain way to be deemed effective); replaced in Dion Fortune’s later version with terms rooted in English Christian tradition (74). It has also appears that the compass points associated with the angels Raphael and Gabriel cited in “Lily” are the reverse of those generally given within the actual LBRP evocation (see Appendix 2).
While some have interpreted the above errors and omissions within “Lily” as indicating the ritual has been “neutralised” to avoid the song from accidentally evoking it (!) (73), this aspect is more likely attributable to Bush (to borrow a phase from her songs) lacking “deeper understanding” of the LBRP! Furthermore, given that the LBRP is “only” a consecration ceremony utilising divine forces, believers in its effectiveness universally state there is no danger implicated in even causally evoking it – being deemed a ritual which can be repeatedly enacted. Hence (from the viewpoint of a magick practioner) there would be no reason to “disempower” Lily for profane use (74)! Hence (given the above) it seems that - rather than granting access to higher powers - “Lily” may have only provided Bush with a new source of “emotive religious imagery” to utilise within her music! As such, it could be argued that “Lily” only represented a source of artistic inspiration as Peter Reich’s “Book of Dreams” did in regard to “Cloudbusting”; which in both instances represent a relatively casual representation of their associated subject matter. In regard to “Lily” herself, we can speculate she may have been associated with a “modern” Western ceremonial magical tradition, comparable to The Society of the Inner Light (founded in the 1920’s by the 20th century mystic Dion Fortune), which utilised rituals derived from the Golden Dawn (72). A simplified version of the LBRP is given in Appendix 2. In this regard it is also particularly telling to note that “Aerial” (AER) contains no references of a similar mystical “depth”. While one song “How to be invisible” appears to describe a magical ritual, it more likely alludes to Bush’s long-expressed desire to vanish from public view; given it cites symbolic aspects of privacy and liminal forms such as keyholes, doormats and wallflowers, etc. Aerial Disc 2 (“A Sky of Honey”), seemingly better expresses Bush’s (near) current ideals – possibly a spiritual appreciation of natural beauty as represented by the changing lighting and natural sounds associated with her garden (73). Kate Bush appears to have always valued the sacred aspects of nature, stating in 1989; “I think nature is very important to me as an inspiration”…. people have always gained inspiration from the sea, from mountains, from the sky… You know, nature is perfect. God made the world in absolute perfection…..” (75).Appendix 2:
Simplified Summary of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (or “LBRP”): Presented below is a simplified version of all three main stages of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP), for comparison with the version given in “Lily”. As can immediately be seen, parts “A” and “B” are omitted from the song, (other than the formation of a “circle of fire”) along with the final closing line of the “actual” ritual. Most LBRP practioners state the Hebrew words in Parts “A” and “B” should be pronounced (or “vibrated”) in a specific fashion, to the extent an evoker can feel the words vibrate off their palm when held close to his or her mouth.
A: Form Qabbalistic cross (Omitted from “Lily”) {Face east} {Visualise ball of white light above head} • Reach up and draw the light down, touching your forehead and say, "Ateh". • Draw down to navel and say, "Malkuth". • With right hand touch right shoulder and say, "Ve Guburah". • With left hand touch left shoulder and say, "Ve Gudulah". • Bring hands together and say "Le Olam". • Say, "Amen".
B: Form pentagrams (Omitted from “Lily” – other than the formation of “Magick circle”) (termed a “circle of fire” within the song): {Stand facing east. Draw pentagram in air using fore and middle finger. Visualise end product as being formed from lines of blue flame} • Point to centre of pentagram and say "Yod Hay Vow Hay". {Then visualise and “trace” a horizontal arc of blazing blue fire from East to South} • “Draw” 2nd pentagram, point to centre and say "Adonai". {Then visualise and “trace” a horizontal arc of blazing blue fire from South to West} • “Draw” 3rd pentagram, point to centre and say "Ay Hay Ay". {Then visualise and “trace” a horizontal arc of blazing blue fire from West to North} • “Draw” 4th pentagram, point to centre and say "Ar Gay La". {Then visualise and “trace” a horizontal arc of blazing blue from North to East; which now forms a complete magickal circle of protection!}
C: Visualise archangels (main focus of “Lily”): {Face East and remain facing east when evoking the archangels} • Say, "Before me Raphael" = (stated as being “Behind me” in “Lily”). • Say, "Behind me Gabriel" = (stated as being “Before me” in “Lily”). • Say, "On my right hand Michael" = (same as cited in “Lily”). • Say "On my left hand Uriel" = (same as cited in “Lily”). Say, (usual form): 'About me flame the pentagrams, and in the column shines the six-rayed star!' Other versions use slightly different wording and sometimes adds references to the angels evoked in this ritual. (This last section is omitted from “Lily”).see more: Confess to me, girl... katebush.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=leaveitopen&thread=1998&page=6 The Delta Project ~ "THE KATE BUSH MYSTERIES: FACT OR FICTION?"www.deltapro.co.uk/katebushm.pdf

Here are some lectures by the late Lily Cornford, i.e. Lily from The Red Shoes. Lily Cornford (1906-2003), who was herself trained by Alice Bailey, founded the Maitreya School in 1982 largely on the principle of visualising the colours of specific flowers and channelling that energy through the hands to a patient lying on a treatment couch.Color Healing Therapy by Lily Cornford When the subject of color healing is considered, we are touching upon a vast subject upon which a library of books could be written. What is color? This lecture may act as a basis from which you can continue to carry out more research and uncover more knowledge for yourselves concerning color. We are told by the Tibetan, color is the language of an initiate. And so, therefore, if we are going to become initiates, ultimately, we’ve got to understand about color.
Color is light, sound, heat, magnetism--they are all one and the same energy as was proved by Michael Faraday in 1845 by polarized light experiments. They differ only in frequency of vibration and medium of conduction. For a proper understanding of healing by color it is necessary to understand color and what it is; it is not static, it is a live, vibrating energy; it is light at varying rates of vibration.
And since color is light, in order for us to perceive it, there must be a light source. In addition, however, there must be a receiving instrument, the eye, and also a brain, to interpret the signals given. While other light sources than daylight exist, the colors in which we are interested are those produced by light emitting a continuous spectrum. The one to which we are all accustomed throughout our lives is sunlight, daylight. When thinking of colors as seen in daylight, one must be careful to obtain the correct color. For instance, a color when seen when the light force is a reflection, is different from the color as seen from a direct light source. How many of you ladies have gone into a material shop and bought a color with which you’ve been absolutely entranced, only to take it out into the daylight and you wish you’d never seen it! This is what I’m trying to explain.
Another point to note is that color is three dimensional—there is hue (the kind of color, whether it is blue, green, orange), saturation (the difference between a degree of colorfulness), and there is brightness and this is the most difficult quality to understand. One can have two objects which are the same hue and saturation, and yet they are a different color because their brightness is different. Now returning to our light source, daylight, it must be emphasized that to see color the whole series of source, eye, and brain relationships must be properly functioning. One of the questions that often occurs is related to the blind. Blind people have such a fine sense of feeling that they feel color. I had two very wonderful blind friends and they taught me an awful lot. And I don’t know whether you have them here or not, but in England we have blind shops, blind work rooms, where the women weave beautiful tablecloths and napkins. In the factory they have one sighted person and these blind workers know immediately when they have woven a wrong color by the feel of its texture.
This question of color and its nature is very important for a full understanding of color healing. It is a powerful energy and I have no hesitation in naming color as one of the most powerful and all-embracing energies in existence. It is with us always, in every life. It has a most profound effect upon our health, our strength, and our emotions. It heals, but equally it can destroy. Its vital quality should always be born in mind, also its variations. There are 49 shades to every color of the sprectrum and then the Masters tell us that in other worlds there are colors that we cannot even dream about. So it’s an all pervading subject. We live in a wonderful world of color, and particularly at this time of the year when it is spring. I don’t suppose you have a dull winter here, but we do in England. We have gray winters. And when spring first comes and you see the little tiny flowers popping out, it’s a great joy because then you know spring is coming and color is here.
The astral body of man is a vehicle to clairvoyant sight, not unlike the physical body, but it is surrounded by an aura of flashing colors composed of matter of an order of fineness higher than that of the physical body in which feelings, desire, passions and emotions are expressed. The astral body acts as a bridge or a medium of transmission between the physical brain and the mind. The latter operates in a still higher vehicle, the mental vehicle.
Now I am going to shock you all and that will be lovely. To clairvoyant sight, one of the principle features of the astral body consists of the colors that are constantly playing through it. Now these colors respond and are an expression in the astral matter of feelings, passions and emotions. We’re not all as bright and clear as we think we are, you know. And here I have a list of the colors that you and I radiate when we are allowing these various desires and passions to take hold of us. It’s good that we are not all clairvoyant at the moment!
The first color is black, in thick clouds. And all of us, it doesn’t matter who we are or who we think we are, radiate this color black when we hate anybody or when we are malicious about anybody. That is the color that we are actually radiating. So when we get in a temper and we say that we hate him, we know exactly what color we’re radiating. And this is truth, this isn’t fallacy.
Now we come to red—deep red flashes, usually on a black background, mean anger. And we all get angry at times and so we all must radiate this color whether we think we do or not. Then there is a scarlet color, a scarlet cloud. And that is irritability. And the Master tells us that the worst of all our illnesses is to be irritable. It is like little gnats. You can cope with the big things but with the little gnats you can’t, you’re flicking them away and they come back again. Then we have a brilliant scarlet on the ordinary background of the aura and that can be noble indignation. Now I think everybody will have seen this color, it is the brown, dull gray of selfishness—and that is one of the most common colors in the astral body because, dear god, when you look around, there is an awful lot of selfishness about. So when we are selfish, we are radiating this dull, heavy, brown gray.
Then there is another brownish red, a dull, almost rust color and that is avarice. Now we come to another brown, a greenish brown, lit up by deep red or scarlet flashes. Now do you know what that is? Jealousy and that is a color that every one of us flash out when we are in love, because when we are in love we all get jealous. So next time you think that you are passionately in love, just watch.
Now every one of you has seen this next color in a person, and it doesn’t take clairvoyance to see it. This is the heavy, leaden gray of depression. You don’t need anything to see that, it’s there. When people are depressed, there is that color and you can’t avoid it. Then in that category, there is another gray, a hideous and frightful hue. And you can see this on the television when they are showing us the areas or the countries in the world where there is fear and depression. Fear is a frightful hue.
Then we get a crimson, a dull, heavy crimson, and that is selfish love. But don’t worry, we do radiate some other colors. We radiate rose color and that is unselfish love. And when it is particularly brilliant and tinged with a little violet, that is spiritual love for humanity. Next we come to orange and that is pride or ambition and this is necessary. We’ve all got to have pride and we’ve all got to have ambition but we’ve got to modify them a bit.
Then we have the yellow of intellect. Primrose denotes intellect devoted to spiritual ends. Gold signifies pure intellect, applied to philosophy or mathematics. Then, of course, we have a lot of greens and blues and there’s not time for us to go through them. These greens and blues are radiated outward when we indulge in passions and desires. And we all do this because we are human, we’re not perfect yet, so let’s just be human. Then we come to the ultra-violet and this denotes the higher developments of the purer psychic faculties. Infrared depicts lower psychic faculties and one who delves into evil or selfish forms of magic. Joy shows itself in a general radiance, both mental and astral. These are the colors related to the astral body.
Now let’s see what happens in the mental body, because here again we radiate color. Where aspirational thought exists, it invariably shows itself in a beautiful, little cap. This is perhaps why bishops wear the little cap on the side of their heads. As the aspirant draws near to the gateway of the path, this beautiful little violet circle increases in size and radiance. In the initiate it is a splendid glowing cap of a most lovely color imaginable. Now often below that there comes a ring of devotional thought and that is blue, usually rather a narrow ring except in the case of the few whose religion is deep and genuine. Next to that there may be a much broader zone of affectionate thought which may be any shade of crimson or rose color, according to the type of affection it indicates. Near the zone of affection, and frequently closely connected to it, there can be found an orange band which can be an expression of pride or ambitious thought. Again, in intimate relation with pride comes the yellow belt of intellect, commonly divided into two bands, denoting respectively the philosophical and the scientific types of thought.
I’ve had a naughty thought now coming through because I think if some of the scientists thought that when they were deep in their concentration that they were radiating yellow, they’d all have a fit. The place of this yellow color varies much in different minds—sometimes it fills the whole of the upper egg, rising above devotion and affection, and in the case of pride it is generally excessive.
Occupying the middle section of the ovoid is the broad belt devoted to concrete shapes, the part of the mental body from which ordinary thoughtforms issue. The principle color here is green, often shaded with brown or yellow, according to the disposition of the person.
And as I have just said, there are 49 shades to each one of the seven colors of the spectrum and also not so long ago I found out that our organs were colors. Here are the colors for some of the organs: plasma—that is a straw colored fluid; we have red and white corpuscles, the spleen is purple; we have gray and white nerve cells; the pancreas is green-colored; the lungs are a grayish pink and the adrenals are yellow. And what I thought was most fascinating of all, the thymus gland is a soft rose-pink. You see how color comes through every part of our life, no wonder it is a wonderful, healing potion.
A Californian scientist was quoted as saying that the idea of destroying an object by intensifying its frequency could lead to satellite born weapons tuned to frequencies of concrete and steel which could disintegrate cities. Just think of that. One can understand therefore the stomach ulcers, the hypertension, the degenerative diseases of the arteries, the nervous exhaustion and the many other ailments that can be caused or adversely influenced by the noise of our towns and cities. As an example, a manual on certain aspects of yoga states that the average noise from a motor horn produces the level of 70 decibels from a distance of 10-15 feet away from the source. And it has been established that a noise of 90 decibels causes the amount of blood pumped through the heart to double. So what must it do when you are sitting in the hotel and listening to the traffic on the highway. These are things we don’t really understand, and sometimes perhaps we don’t want to understand them.
In Egypt, India and China color was associated with religious rites and medicines. Some of the more original and independent researchers have started rediscovering some of the originally known facts. For example, it has been found that color significantly influences sexual activity. Violet light increases the activity of the female glands, whereas red light stimulates the male reproductive organs. Further, under red light, muscular tension increases from a normal level of 23 units to 42 units. In orange light, tension increases to 35 units, yellow produces 30 units, green 29, and blue 24. And the effect of color on the human mind is just as pronounced. It was found that when a suicide bridge, long painted black, was changed to green, the death leaps decreased by one third. This is all scientific knowledge. Further, tests show that under a red light, a person will over-estimate the weight of objects whilst under green light objects will appear to be lighter.
I have to close now. But you can understand why I wanted to share with you this idea that color is not a fallacy and that it is part of our lives. And when you can stand and visualize color coming through your hands, through your fingertips, through the palms of your hands and going into a human body and changing the rate of vibration of that body, you can see what a wonderful healing that can be produced by color.
Mental Color Therapy: Part I by Lily Cornford This is a transcript of an informal workshop, which included a question and answer period. The questions were inaudible but the responses, we felt, stand on their own and so we have included them.
Before I start I would like to say the Gayatri. In London we always start all of our talks and conferences with the Gayatri. It is almost now, part of our very being. And so, if you know it, please say it with me.
O Thou Who givest sustenance to the universe. From Whom all things proceed To Whom all things return Unveil to us the face of the true spiritual sun Hidden by a disk of golden light. That we may know the truth and do our whole duty. As we journey to Thy sacred feet.
When it comes to a consideration of healing, particularly color healing, the important thing to keep in mind is the underlying motive is pure; then healing can take place. I studied color healing with a group during the last war. But like the rest of you I was in the business world and I had to earn a living. It wasn’t until I reached the age of 65, and had a small pension, that I was free to start full time healing. I have never looked back. Life has expanded so fully that I can honestly say I’ve never been dull—there isn’t enough time to be dull and the work is wonderful.
I first started out with a colleague. We had joined a group some years previously and I was asked to go to a weekend seminar on healing to give lectures on the subtle bodies which, being an esotericist, a knew a little about. And I was so horrified at the lack of substance that was given at that weekend on healing, when I met my colleague next time I said, “Look, I think we have sufficient substance between the two of us to start a school of healing.” He was very interested in color and I had the esoteric side and so together we meditated and we came up with a thirteen week course, once a week. And that went through the physical, the etheric, the astral, the mental, color, absent healing, cleansing and sealing, protection (because in this world we have to have protection against the dark forces) and death. We had a whole thirteen week curriculum that we had worked out in about two hours.
We didn’t know what we should call ourselves but we meditated and the name Maitreya came through, so we are called the Maitreya School of Healing. So many people asked us the meaning of Maitreya and eventually we came across a beautiful understanding of it and I would like to read it to you. “It is understood that Maitreya is the name of the future enlightened one. Maitreya, he whose name is kindness. He is said to have been predicted by the Buddha. A few of his characteristics will be great knowledge, wisdom, and friendliness. The Maitreyan life is necessarily intense, variegated, its balance can only be a dynamic balance through continual flexibility in its maintenance. The range of its attachment requires completion by the non-possessiveness inherent in detachment. Such a life finds its appropriate expression in the cardinal Maitreyan virtue—Maitreyan friendliness. For to be a friend requires restraint, sympathy and severity, frankness and flexibility, challenge and consideration, giving and withholding. The Maitreyan life is as difficult, as complex, and as vital as the finest friendships.” These are the concepts that we try to uphold in our clinic in London.
We are very practical, so the first thing our students are taught is a basic understanding of the physical body. Because when anybody comes to you with a pain in their stomach, or in their spleen, or in their liver, or their pancreas--and you don’t know where that is—you’re at a loss and so is the patient. And so we do insist that students have an understanding of the physical body.
The next need is to have an understanding of the etheric body. Now, many of you who have read Esoteric Healing, or any of D.K.’s books, will have an esoteric understanding of the etheric body but not necessarily a physical understanding. The etheric body is the foundation or, if you like, the scaffolding upon which the physical body is built. When a person has an amputation of a leg, or an arm, or an organ, the etheric counterpart still remains. Our etheric body stays with us until the day we pass over. The medical profession states that when they have amputated something--a leg or arm--a patient has phantom pains. They do not understand that those pains are real because within the etheric body is a replica of the nervous system, known as the nadis. Without our nervous system, we would not feel pain. This is why the dentist will dull the nerves of your mouth when he is going to extract or do anything with your teeth. So the nadis still being there in that etheric arm that has been amputated, the pain is still there.
Many years ago I was rushed into hospital. And I don’t want you to just believe this story but I would like you to experiment with it yourself. And I did hear that one of the students had done just that because she had had a nose operation and she found that what I said was true. I had an appendectomy, I was in and out of hospital in ten days. It was simple, it was straight, and there was no trouble whatsoever. A month after, I began having a pain in that area, a physical pain. But no power on this earth was going to get me to a doctor or a hospital. I had had enough. So I went round to the then known complementary medicines and nobody did anything for me.
I had that pain for literally twelve months and some of you may know the books of David Tansley. Well, I knew David Tansley very well. Whenever we met we were always talking about esoteric things. His wife must have got fed up with it. And this time I went to dinner with him and we were talking about the old Chinese doctors. Before they operated, they would put their patients into a semi-trance. Then they would speak to the etheric body and tell that etheric body exactly what they were going to do. If it was going to be a stomach operation, they would say to the stomach, “we are going to operate and so will you now divert your energies away from the stomach.” And this would happen and their rate of success in operations would be 100%. Well, we chatted about this for some time and I went home and got into bed. On my bedside table was the very book that we were looking at (and you know how books have the habit of opening at the right page), and there it all was. So I thought, “I’ll try an experiment. I’m here alone and if I’m a fool, what does it matter?” So, with my thoughts, and only with my thoughts, I picked up a scaffold, went down my scar, opened it up, and went right to where the etheric appendix had been, nipped it, blessed it, apologized to it for the trouble I’d given it, folded it all over. Blessed it, turned over and went to sleep. I went to sleep, woke up the next morning, and no pain.
I told this to the class last week and this girl was having a nose operation and she did the same thing and her operation was 100% successful. Now I’m not telling you to believe me, but I am asking you to experiment. When you know of anyone who is going into hospital for an operation, try it out. You’ve only got to use your thought and there’s nothing greater in this world than the power of thought, nothing greater. But we only use it for negative things, not positive. So just try this out.
So you see, the etheric part of our bodies is a vital part of our healing. I’ll tell you, I’m always learning, something new is always coming up. About six weeks ago we had come to the clinic a man who is an alcoholic, and an alcoholic of many years. And he came for healing, and one of my colleagues and I gave him healing. And afterwards, he made a strange remark. He said, “It seems as though I’ve had a withdrawal.” The next time we gave him healing the same thing happened. And then after that, two or three times, it was just ordinary. He was persuaded to go to Alcoholics Anonymous. He has been going now for about six weeks. He has had no withdrawal symptoms whatsoever and I think that is astounding. I’m longing to get another alcoholic to see if we can really prove it. I wondered if it would work with smoking.
We work by using our hands but we only treat the etheric part of the body--the etheric stomach, the etheric liver, etc. At first we didn’t realize this, we didn’t realize what was happening. This is the experimental nature of our work, you do something and suddenly you hit a jack pot. So you see, the etheric body is as integral part of the whole of our existence and those of you that wish to do any healing, please study the importance of the etheric body. The Tibetan tells us how important this study is but sometimes we’re so stupid, we don’t take notice. So that is our first lesson.
Now we come to color. I’ll go through the bits and pieces but I want to give you what I think would be the most interesting to you. Color is part of our very existence. If you look at the organs of your body, they are color. And so we felt that here was something that we could use ourselves. We have many groups in London that are using color but they use slides. They are successful on their particular vibration but we train ourselves to be our own instrument, which means that we have to be as purified as we possibly can. We’re not holier than thou, at all. We have a lovely sense of humor and we work very much down to the ground. But we do, as far as is humanly possible, prepare ourselves for the work that we are going to do. And the colors that we use are the colors of the flowers--the alive, vibrating colors of flowers. We say, whereas the medical profession changes the chemicalization of the body through drugs, we change it through color. And it is as simple as that and it is magic.
Color healing is an ancient technique that has come down to us from the beginning of time. In the ancient temples of Egypt, Greece, and in Atlantis they had temples that contained a healing block made of marble. The patient would lie down on it and over the roof would be all the colors of the rainbow. As the hours went by and the sun changed so would the colors change that came down onto the patient. And so, what we are doing is only reviving what took place hundreds and thousands of years ago.
Now I’ll discuss the colors that we use in our healing center. The first color is a soft rose pink--not a light pink. It is applied to the heart chakra when there is need of love. It is the color that we always use for love or if we want to awaken the qualities of love. The quality of the rose is love and love is what the world is crying out for at the moment—unconditional love. And the rose color is what we use.
Then we come to the colors orange, gold and yellow. These are the sunlight colors and their healing function is akin to that of sunlight—stimulating, life giving, growth promoting. Now we’ll take each color, and the first is orange. We’ll take the marigold, that beautiful gold color that is like the marigold petals in sunlight. It is stronger than gold or yellow and it is always applied to the spleen to give life and vitality when this is low. It is given as a general tonic and a boost. It is also given when a patient has severe rheumatism or arthritis. It is applied to the spleen to help break up deposits; it also has an effect on the bony structures of the body.
Orange has a warming and invigorating effect. It is more a stimulant to the emotions than to the physical body. It can be used in cases of paralysis due to emotional reactions. It should be avoided by the extremely emotional type whose balance can be obtained through its complementary color blue. Orange can be applied to the crown center in cases of epilepsy. Its quality is that of strong sunlight.
Then we come to gold. And here we depict daffodils; particularly, do you have the King Alfred daffodils here, those beautiful large ones? Do you have Buttercups? This color can be applied to the brow center or the crown center. It is used to arouse an embittered or depressed patient. It improves the mental condition of most patients. It can also be applied to the spleen. Gold has a reaction similar to that of orange, in giving vitality to the system and also has a beneficial effect on the bony structure of the body again, helping to break up deposits that cause rheumatism and arthritis. Gold is used very much down the spine to give vitality. In fact, the color of gold is that of vitality.
Then we come to the yellow. The quality of yellow is stimulation. Now in England we have gorse and broom. Do you have them here? They are bushes. You must have their equivalent. It is not so bright as the other two colors but it does have a wonderful effect. Now this color is applied in healing to the brow center in the head. It stimulates the nerves in the brain and the body and it clears stagnation. You will recall that the Buddha clothed his priests in yellow, the color that has stood throughout the ages for wisdom.
Now we have had quite a lot of patients who take dope. And this is a great tragedy because it afflicts the younger ones. They start out experimenting and then they get to a state where they can no longer do without it. What we do is we massage their brain (their brain gets dull) with our hands, thinking of this color and believe me we have had wonderful effects. One girl came to us without any space left for a fix on either arm. She has been with us now three or four years and she has passed through a drama college and she is out teaching drama. She has had other help but it has been primarily the healing and most of all the massage of the brain that brought back her vitality. These are the things that you can do with people and it is hard work—but it is wonderful work.
Next we come to green. It is said that epilepsy is the personality slipping out of the body. The weight and intensity of the personality is so great that the individuals have to escape for a while and so they flip out of their bodies. And by using this color green and by gently calling them back. They know that they have slipped out of their bodies and we just tap them on the shoulder and tell them to come back. We say, “come on, back in your body, we can’t work with you until you come back,” and they do.
Schizophrenics are out of their body and if you can get them back inside their body and secure them there, they are as normal as what we are. We have certain ritual that we do to secure them. If the doctors could only join in the experiments we are doing for suffering humanity, there would be a lot less suffering.
We sometimes send color to the etheric body and sometimes to the organs, the physical organs. We have been very successful with what we call MS. We call that, purely, the starvation of the life force of the body. And as the life force comes in through the five centers, if you view the spine and go down the spine with the colors, you have particular colors for that. And our success rate (and I say this very humbly), is phenomenal. We had a young boy that came to us who had spent three years in bed. He was 15 when he came to us and he couldn’t learn. He had a private tutor. His brain wouldn’t take anything and eventually he gravitated to us. Within nine months the whole family went on a holiday, which they hadn’t done for three years. He was back one day at school. And for Christmas this year I had the great joy of saying, “Off you go, I don’t need to see you anymore.” And this happened again and again with just the colors and the energies and the work that goes into it.
If you look out at nature there are hundreds of different shades of colors of green. But we work specifically with spring green. That beautiful green that is coming through now, with a touch of yellow with the purity and beauty, after a long winter when everything has been dead and dark and suddenly, those little green shoots come out. That’s spring green. We use spring green always first for cleansing, to cleanse the aura and next we cleanse all the organs. My colleague and I we say if we were only permitted two colors we would use spring green and sapphire blue, but the others do add. Spring green is very, very useful and necessary.
There are also many different varieties of blue. We have sapphire blue, bluebells, and all the shades of delphiniums. Sapphire blue is used in cases of great pain. It can be applied to the chakra controlling the cause of the pain and also to the pain itself. We have a contact where we take a handkerchief or tissue, if someone has acute back pain and you really want to concentrate right deep upon it, you take a tissue and you place it over a pain. Then you purse your lips and you breath out the color blue. And many times we are asked, what instrument we are using, because people are usually lying on their backs and they can’t see and they ask us what we are using. And we say we are using nothing but our breath and color and that has a wonderful effect. And, of course, we use a lot of blue to the solar plexus. The solar plexus is the most overworked nervous system of our bodies. It is where every emotion—good, bad or indifferent—impinges first. People having a shock say, I’ve got a pain, and they immediately hold their solar plexus. So the solar plexus needs a tremendous amount of healing.
We teach our students in our school never to work from their solar plexus. I think nearly all the healers in London work from their solar plexus, hence they get ill. My colleague and I have been working for 40 years in this field and never once have we taken somebody else’s illness. Of course we have had our own illnesses because we’ve made our own mistakes, but we’ve never taken anybody else’s illnesses because we never work from the solar plexus. Your patient has come to you in great distress. Their solar plexus is working overtime and so you dare not work with yours. You cannot have two blind people crossing your motorway. So you can’t have two people working on their solar plexus. Our healers are taught that the energy for healing comes by working from the heart, the throat and the pineal gland. If you use those energies via the power of thought (energy follows thought) you have a powerful way of working.
Another rule we have that is never neglected is to wash our hands after every patient. That takes away all the vibrations of the one that you’ve been working with and sometimes you are working with some pretty grim, dirty vibrations, I can assure you. It is very lovely to work from the heart center but you have to be careful, that is why we work through the three centers. You have to be careful, you can overdo the energies that come from the heart center. But if you work with the triangle of energies, you are safe, and you have to be safe, as well as making your patient safe.
The next color is indigo blue. This is the color at night when there is no moon and when you can stand and look up at the sky, with all the millions of stars. That is the color we use for the solar plexus and the thyroid gland, particularly the cranial nerves and the nervous system—which I believe to be the most important part of our bodies. Indigo blue is the color of dignity and this is one of the qualities that we should bring to our healing—the quality of dignity. Because in the last analysis, what we want to do, is to heal the soul. The greatest healing is soul to soul, and believe me, when you can touch that, there isn’t anything greater you can experience. It is a wonderful experience.
Then we come to violet and amethyst. Do you have in America that lovely, tiny violet, with the beautiful perfume? That is the color violet that we use. We have so many African violets these days, but they do not have the same purity and the same exquisite perfume as that tiny, little violet. And amethyst, is also a color that the majority of students don’t know. And so in our center we have the amethyst stone and we show that to our students. Now, violet is the stronger color. These colors have to be used with care but they are powerful builders and strengtheners. They can be used in cases of heart disease, low blood pressure, and we use a lot of violet in cancer. The colors we use principally for cancer are spring green, amethyst and violet.
We have a lot of cancer cases--some of them we help, some of them we cure, and in some we help the people to go over gently and easily, without pain. We had one patient who came to us with cancer of the lungs. He had been opened up and when the doctors saw the state of the lungs they closed him up again, but they never told him anything about his condition. He thought he’d had the lung removed but he hadn’t. We took care of him and his life was prolonged reasonably comfortably for six months. Then he went into hospital and died a painless death; he went over beautifully. The medical establishment was so intrigued, they couldn’t understand it and so they had to open him up to see whether the cancer was still there--and it was. But the healing had worked with the pain and the suffering so much that he went over easily and gently. We can’t always cure--karma comes into it, but we can help when we are needed. And so those colors, violet and amethyst, give spiritual strength and also can be used for cleansing the nerves.
Then we have pearl, the quality of pearl is cleansing. It is somewhat akin to spring green but we use it primarily for the etheric. When we are healing someone with cancer, and we are healing their throat, we use pearl because we are working with the etheric body. One color we hardly ever use is red. Red causes stimulation and if you have somebody with a lot of inflammation, you don’t want to add to the condition. Red is the color of children. You ask a child which is their favorite color and they will say red. Simply because they have to be stimulated because they are growing but we never use it in healing. Then, of course, there is white. And white contains all colors. So if you are not sure of what color to use, you can always use white because it contains all the colors. Now they are all the colors that we use.
Lily Cornford was the founder and director of the Maitreya School of Healing in London, England. Lily once said that by the age of 17 she knew that this lifetime was to be dedicated to a life of service. She worked as an accountant until her retirement at the age of 65, when she embarked upon a full-time healing career and she never looked back. She had tremendous energy and well into her eighties (until her death), she worked long hours in her healing work. Lily has investigated many different aspects of healing but her primary area of interest was in direct, color healing—using her mind and her heart and her own hands directly with people. This talk was given at the Seven Ray Institute/University of the Seven Rays Conference in 1989, in Mesa, Arizona.
Mental Color Therapy Part II by Lily Cornford This article is a continuation of a transcript of an informal workshop, which included a question and answer period. The questions were inaudible but the responses, we felt, stand on their own and so we have included them.
Now I would like to speak briefly about skeletal healing. Many people think that because the skeleton is composed of bone, you can’t do anything with it. Believe me, that’s a fallacy and we have healed it repeatedly. We had a young boy fifteen years old; he was a very arrogant boy and he had a very dreadful problem in that his skull was too small. He had brain capacity but he couldn’t get it through and down on paper simply because his skull was very small. This is a true story and I know it sounds fantastic, but through the healing his skull literally began to grow, and with the growth his brain was able to spread out and gradually his skeletal began to get straighter. We passed him then on to a doctor and to a therapist and we haven’t seen him for about two years. But we got him moving and that was all we had to do. We have had patients come in with their arms in splints and we healed them through the splint so that eventually when the splint was taken off, their arms were straight. We’re healing a little boy right now and by God he is one of the new age children. He is sharp and alive and he has had two hip operations and his little leg was very curved as a result. As of last Saturday, his leg was straight and the scars from the operation are slowly diminishing. Each Saturday morning we have a children’s healing. We call it Picadilly Circus because you have never heard such noise, but the children are delightful and they never quarrel.
We have had one child since he was eighteen months old. He came to us from Great Almonds Street Hospital (the famous hospital in London) with Leukodystrophy of the brain. His mother was told to take him home and that in six months he would be dead. That boy is now 6 ½--he’s the brightest boy in the school, he’s been walking round on two crutches and now, right before I left, he began walking without his crutches. We’ve still got work to do, but he has healed himself through his own will power and the help of the healers. He’s not had one pill all through his six-and-one-half years. He has improved on account of the healing energies.
You can always use the energy of love with terminal cases. You cannot interfere if you always say, “Thy will be done; not my will, Thy will.” If you can ease someone’s transit, it is worth it. To go over peacefully, rather than in pain and suffering, can always be accomplished through the use of the energy of love.
We always work by sending the colors through the hands. Sometimes we do not touch the body. Sometimes we work purely with the etheric, but mostly we touch the body. People like a human contact and that helps tremendously. The nervous system is the most important system of the whole body. Without the nerves we wouldn’t function, and so we try to get to the root cause of an inharmony. If you get to the root cause, you can then begin to heal. And many times the root cause lies in a shock that can go back to childhood—to falling off a horse or falling down a slide.
For example, this is your stomach and over your stomach are your nerves. Everything is doing its work and the nerves are holding it comfortably and steadily and then suddenly you jump, you fall, you have an accident and the nerves tighten up. Then, this organ, no matter what it is, can’t function properly. It becomes an effort to move and to digest and this sets up inharmony, pain and suffering. Release the nervous system and gradually the organ begins to get its rightful space, do its rightful work and healing can take place.
We have twelve pairs of cranial nerves and they are found in the back of the head. Those nerves activate our five senses and without them the senses wouldn’t operate. It is very often the case that when those nerves have trouble, if we heal them, we right the trouble. We have a very important nerve called the vagus nerve, which is the second longest nerve in the body. A lot of people get tightness across the top part of their body and they immediately think they have heart trouble. Two of our important healers have had this trouble and both went to the doctors at different times and were directed to the hospital. Both of them came back with instruments attached to them to monitor their hearts. I think they had it on for twenty-four hours and returned to the hospital only to find there was nothing wrong with them.
When they came back we did healing on the vagus nerve and within a month there was no more trouble. So if you are going to do healing and people come to you and say they think they have heart trouble, first of all look to the vagus nerve and then, if you are not sure, send them to the doctor or the hospital. But nine times out of ten, unless there is something wrong with the heart organ (which is a very strong organ in the body), you will find that the problem is related to the vagus nerve.
We work differently on the vagus nerve, depending upon the situation. We work on the whole twelve pair of cranial nerves; first we cleanse them using the spring green and then, sometimes, we will use sapphire blue, or sometimes electric blue. It just depends on the patient and the particular problem. But we place a lot of attention upon the nervous system because if you can heal the nervous system then the rest of the organs will take their rightful place. I maintain that there isn’t an illness that cannot be helped. And I think quite a lot of problems stem from nerves and tension. Ninety-five percent of our illnesses are caused by tension, anxiety, and worry--particularly cancer.
Before you do healing you have to find out the cause of the particular symptoms, and then you work accordingly. The cause can be determined by talking with the patient. They don’t always tell you the truth, however. The most valuable tool, therefore, is to unfold and use your own, pure intuition. When I started first using my intuition, I was a bit wary. But if you can develop this faculty, you never make a mistake.
We practice absent healing as well, and that is fantastic. We usually do this on Thursday for about two hours and we have a list of people--we only need a name and someone who has a connecting link and that is all. It doesn’t matter where in the world they live--we send the colors out and it works. Thought is immediate. It doesn’t matter where in the world a person lives—the energy is there immediately.
Regarding the preparation of the healer--well, I wouldn’t suggest that you go out and eat steak and kidney pudding and then go do healing. You have to purify your body but you would never want to be fanatical. Fanaticism never gets us anywhere, it only drives everybody else mad. Purify the body to the best of your ability. It doesn’t mean you have to be 100% vegetarian, but if you are vegetarian that is good. But most of all, purify your thoughts. There is no value in thinking of beautiful colors, while at the same time thinking, “my god that woman is a pain in the neck.” And believe me, some of them are! You need infinite patience.
We have to go carefully when working with the medical establishment and it can only be done by example and by working quietly. Physicians spend seven years in hard training and if someone comes along and accomplishes healing with their hands in the twinkle of an eye--it can be difficult to take. Also, there are many charlatans around. I don’t know about here, but in London, by God, they are asking for an awful amount of money.
At the moment two of our healers work together on our patients. One person takes the head and the other the torso. We take turns. We work with the whole body—the physical, the etheric, the astral and the mental. But if we can get in touch with the soul, then we really are working.
If anybody comes to us who has taken drugs or drink, or if they are a bit scruffy, we have a special ritual of washing the etheric with salt and water. We have a little bowl where we put clean water and kitchen salt, not table salt, that’s too refined. And we dip our hands in it and take quite a lot of dampness on a napkin and then, we sweep away on the etheric body. One will go over the head and one will go over the body and believe me, sometimes, when they are particularly grubby, you get a feeling of grubbiness on your fingers that you have taken off the etheric body. We always do that with anybody who has taken drugs. We are making a rule now that unless a patient will endeavor to give up drugs, we won’t work with them. The patients have to assume a measure of responsibility in this work.
We use a lighted night light with the children, we call it our fairy candle and we go all around the body, sealing it. We use this light also with epileptics and with schizophrenics. We have a lighted candle and we start at the top of the body and we trace around the periphery of the entire body. Usually the patients are lying on their backs. Our symbol of protection is the circle and the cross. We make that symbol over the palms of the hands because that is where your center exists. And we make it over the soles of the feet and then we come down the spine and we do it over every chakra--the cross and the circle--that is a wonderful protection, particularly for schizophrenics, epileptics or anyone with drug or alcohol problems. The children love it, especially the hyperactive ones. And if we forget to give it to them they’ll say, “Where’s the candle, where’s the fairy candle?”
About ten years ago a poor man came into our clinic, you couldn’t tell whether he had a curvature, lung trouble, or what it was. So, we gave him a healing, and when he got off the table I did a stupid thing! I love doing stupid things because I am a stupid woman. I got hold of my medical book and I opened it to a picture of a perfect rib cage. I said to this fellow, “Now look here Dennis, look at this, this is a perfect rib cage. You will visualize this rib cage every morning of your life and you will improve.” Within six months he had to have a new suit because he was beginning to stand upright. It wasn’t a curvature, it was that the shoulder blades were covering his spine and gradually they went back into their rightful place and there was his spine quite straight. He is now perfectly upright. He also came to us with asthma. Although we healed his skeletal, we didn’t heal his asthma because he couldn’t control his emotions. Recently I’ve received a letter from him making an appointment and he is slowly beginning to lose his asthma because he is beginning to control his emotions.
We never take people off their pills. And suddenly they will come in and say, I forgot to take my pills this morning. Nature is so wonderful, she heals herself when we give her the opportunity. We never take anyone away from their medication or their doctor. We work with them. In fact, I’ve got one lady always telling her doctor what I say and always telling me what her doctor says. It’s an interchange.
We only have failures if the person doesn’t want to get well. There are a lot of people who don’t want to get well, particularly if they are on a health pension. We have had quite a number of people on pensions and suddenly they have had to go for an examination and they disappear.
We had one girl very recently who was hit by a car and thrown up into the air and her head was in a pool of blood. She was an awful mess and she was brought to us. She couldn’t hear and she couldn’t smell. Slowly but surely she is improving and she comes to our classes. The neurologist was looking in her ears and there is a lot of congealed blood right inside. And there hasn’t been anything that we could do about it. She was sitting in our school and she experienced a sudden pain and she rubbed her ear and a big piece of congealed blood fell out. Last week another piece came out. And that was all a result of the healing energies. Her leg is straightened and she is now walking without a cane. She has not regained her sense of taste and smell yet, but they are coming. Nature sometimes takes a long time in healing, particularly in the case of terrible accidents.
* * * * * I grew up adhering strictly to the mandates of the Church of England, but I was always asking questions. My mother was non-conformist. We three girls were brought up in the Church of England because we lived opposite the church. And when my mother died (she was a very good woman), she wasn’t allowed to be buried in the plot of ground in the cemetery that belonged to the Church of England, because she hadn’t been baptized or confirmed. Well, being a rebel, that just set me off. I began asking questions, and of course the first place I began to explore was spiritualism and that finished me. I went enquiring, searching, and I came across a healing group in London. All through the war we did absent healing. We sat while the bombs were dropping all around us, that was my first introduction to this work. But I had to earn a living and so it wasn’t until I was 65 that I started this new career on a full-time basis and I have never looked back. Financially we work like Robin Hood. Those that can pay, pay, and those that can’t, don’t pay.
Our school meets twice a year and just last week my colleague and I were saying that we have never been bored. We give the same curriculum, twice a year, and we are always learning something new every year and we are open to anything and everything. Don’t worry if you get to 65, you can still start a new life. I never crossed the Atlantic until I was 80 and I celebrate my 84th birthday in May and I’ve been across three times in the last 12 months.
* * * * * If we have a desperate case, we try to meet with patients twice a week. But I am so booked up now, I don’t believe I have any free appointments until four weeks from now. I start at 9 a.m. and the last patient comes at 6 p.m. and so it is 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. before we are finished. The sessions last one hour—first you ask them if any progress has been made, then you get them onto the table and begin working with them, and then we always cover them up with a blanket and leave them for seven minutes. They ask why seven minutes, and I say that is a lovely number. Then they come out into the lounge and have a cup of tea and Rescue Remedy. If anybody is driving home, I won’t let them leave until I see that they are really back with us.
You should always make your patient comfortable. Some patients need a cushion under their knees to help their spine. Others need a cushion under their head. These are things to observe in your patient from the time you go into the room, until the time you leave. You learn a lot through observation—for example, you learn a lot by how they use their hands or their eyes. Always observe your patients and you will know what they want and what they need. Nobody is relaxed these days, nobody. But through our work we help them to relax every part of their body. So they’ve got to get time for the body to get into its rhythm again before they go out into the street or into their cars.
* * * * * I maintain that if we eat sensibly, if we are relaxed and if we start using the salivary glands as they should be used--right at the beginning when we put something in our mouths, and masticate thoroughly, we should enjoy good health. The message goes right the way down the digestive organs and then all the digestive juices work as they should. But most people eat when they are so tense, and so emotionally disturbed, that it is no wonder that they have allergies. Most allergies are caused by emotions. Some of my principal healers today came with allergies that were purely emotional. Cancer is most definitely related to emotions, frustrations, and irritations.

Thank you for this ^ You know that I find this sort of subject matter engrossing... tuning in waves and vibrations - a cacophany of noise compete with the other - to lament or rejoice look at the light - it changes in hue whose voice do you hear - do you give it it's due are you deaf to the signal - is it not on your dial better tune in - abandon denial the signals are there to show you the way lift up your Aerial - do it today. jhm

I posted this @ Homeground Tannis- I hope that is Okay. I work with color in my business. It is also pertinent to the principles in my hypothesis with regard to the 'Universal Code' thread here. Metamerism is the term for light changing in the 3 light sources that we commonly experience. i.e., UV, florescent and incandescent. The waves do change. She describes this phenomenon in detail. She also ties emotion to aura and wave energy. She makes the connection to cause and effect through emotion and waveform communication. This is what I have been maintaining in my writings. But to find so many references to this correlation in the music and lyrics of Kate Bush; I am compelled to dig deeper and deeper. I may want to look more now @ 'The Ninth Wave"...and I would welcome your take on this too Tannis.

This is lengthy but it has so many ties to what seems to be recurring themes in Kate's music i.e.,Gender role and the power of emotional energy...(Look for 'The Ninth Wave' in quotes - and I am about to research 'Babushkin' and another highlighted link from the source credits/footnotes at the bottom of the page here)

Two in the Face of the Third

ABSTRACT:
Instead of invariable mind, taking commands from invariable nature by invariable principles, we would like to find variable cognitive relations between a variable man and variable nature. — St. Tulmin
We use to say: mankind is going through a critical and turning-point of its way. The core of this way is danger of the world's and man's annihilation. Prognosis is considered to be foresight and prediction. However, we need to perceive this critical point, which is a turning-point of mankind in space-time, in order to make predictions for 30-50 years, i.e. we need "to go through and experience" it intelligently, and then we are able to model the whole way (1) "of variable cognitive relationships between a variable human being and variable nature" (2) , the way of consciousness. (3) It is necessary for us simply to find out "maximum waves" which can be the real "ninth wave", making turning-point in the continuous motion of genus Homo in space-time. Perhaps, we shall understand then that a "visible" world and the point we are speaking about are likely to be the same.
I remember my "little country" - my childhood. We, four brothers, played a war "fighting to the death". And our only sister played with the dolls..."Boys play a war..." Is not a war an eternal imprecation of "Homo sapiens sapiens"? Where does such "a seizure by a grasp" come from? (4) May be we don't want to look for "new senses" at all? (5) And if there are some "other senses" (5) what do they look like? May be, they are like those which are released for us in the life and book of the blind-and-deaf Doctor of Psychology Alexander Suvorov? (6)
In the researchment of "co-existence" of this "fractional, fractional world" and of in-di-viduals, "her" and "his", their inter-position, inter-comprehension, inter-finding, inter-conditionality, inter-action, inter-distinguishing, inter-correlation, when non-spatial "conception cannot pretend to seize the subject of the social dynamics yet" (Liotard), both methods are used: a) the method of philosophical modeling (7) of the complex system of the highest order-consciousness, intentional analysis (8) and b)the method of interpretation and comprehension of symbols and cultural phenomena, (56) understanding of everything what "has a meaning" (57) in the dynamics of triune space-time: of space-sense, space-spirit and space-matter, in which "time is a coordinator of events", (9) "a form and measure of motion of moving space", (10) and space is "the factor of the object parts' co-existence". (9) Modeling "consciousness way" is carried out by logical grasp, by the "combination and unification " of "moduses of consciousness" "under the ray of the ultimate sense" (11) "up to the most remote sense-distinguishing depths". (12)
1. The first "philosophical modellers" of consciousness were poets and writers. "There are two "Ego" , two poles of the planet inside me",- a poet said.(Model-1). The "poles of sense", "bidominatoin" of consciousness are described in this model as the process of its "centring on the internal world of a subject" and "an eagerness to come out of the limits of the given existence, an orientation for the external integrity". (13) F. Dostoevsky spoke about "the circles of consciousness" (Model-2). A. Bely said: "Personal "Ego" is a fiction because "Ego" in reality is supra-personal; it is an organizing power not of one consciousness but of the whole consciousness circle, where individual "co-" of individual consciousness are only the points of a new figure, resulting their organization; the circle of these "co-" is the understanding of the central "co-", volitional and creative understanding, it is the "self": our self-consciousness...". (14) (Model-3). A. Vvedensky has "modeled" consciousness in space-time in the following way: "Consciousness of our being within the reach only of a moment is the perpendicular, falling down the line of our spatial motion." (Model-4). M.Mamardashvili represented consciousness as a certain "luminous point", "a center of the perspective". Zh. P. Sartre - as "a hole in the being", "vivifying emptiness". (15)
2. P. Tayar de Chardin, - pointing the triune characteristics of consciousness: "1) to concentrate everything in parts around yourself, 2) much more concentrating inside, 3) by this overconcentration of joining all other centers surrounding it...", - gives the following program of philosophical modeling: "Matter and spirit come forward not as "objects...", "natures...", but as simple, binding together variable quantities, which are necessary for to find out not a secret essence but a functional curve from space-time. At this level of reflection "consciousness" is presented and is to be considered not as a kind of present essence but as an "effect", as a specific affinity of complexity". (16) (Model-5).
P.S. Laplas defines the sense "motion formula" for method of the philosophical modelling in the following way: " Mind which would know for a certain moment all the powers animating nature, and relative position of all its components, if this Mind was proved to be sufficiently extensive to make these data to be analyzed and to unify them in the motion formula of the greatest bodies of the universe together with the motion of the lightest atoms, then there would be nothing not authentic for it, and the future as well as the past would come out in its sight" . (17) B. Spinoza gives an idea of sense intention: "If we want to investigate the very first existent thing there necessarily should be some reason which must direct our thoughts, since the method is a reflective cognition as it is, so the reason, which is to direct our thoughts, can bnoneother than the cognition of what forms the truth and intelligence with its characteristics and powers". (18)
Protagoras of Abdera asserts the sense measure: "Man is a measure of all things." R. Descartes defines sense self-measurement: "I think, therefore I am". "Ego" according to Descartes is an ultimate essence: "I have for some extent more primary perception of the infinity than of the ultimate, in other words, my perception of God is more primary than perception of myself". (18) "Ego" in space - as a "point" as well as a "point-line", as well as a "space" - is an equilateral triangle. Ego, cogitans, monad and triad. My consciousness, painting a "point-line" is an "alive arrow" of senses - the consciousness vector (Model-6). The consciousness vector (Intentio) is the "universal measure", the "element of thinking", the "effect", a psycho-intellectual energy potential from the "energy-information" paradigm point of view, (16, 19, 58) the "idea-norm", the "basic model" (20) of the complexly organized system of the highest sphere, of a single observer and participator of eternal motion of spirit and matter, an "operator of senses", (21) sense-attractor, drawing closer senses of the world and of the human being, discovering their "co-statement" in space-time.
3.M. Sterenberg, investigating the problem of biological evolution on the base of scientific-religious approach, represents spirit and matter as the following:"...Matter plan of life is a projection of Spirit through soul plan on to matter". (22) (Model-7).
According to P.Tayar0 de Chardin and K. Yaspers it is necessary to search for senses "critical points" in the course of evolution. They point to the common character of sources and aims, sense discretness of time and its directedness ("Omega point", "axis time"), besides they determines sense time-limits (horizontal) for philosophical modeling: "Mankind has common sources and a single aim. These sources and the aim are not known for us, in any case, like an authentic knowledge they are recognizable in a shimmering of multivalued symbols only. Our existence is limited by them. In philosophical interpretation we try to get closer to the both - the sources and the aim". (16, 23) Holy Books determines the sacred limits of modeling the reality, which are considered as upper and lower sense limits of complexity (vertical).
4. World religions, ancient culture teachings (54) have some symbols which can be a key to reveal the code of space-time, the "geometry" of spirit, matter and consciousness: the Cross, the reality of the Trinity, an Eight-ending Star relating, as A. Dugin says , to "...a secret of time, more exactly to a secret of cycle since some sacred traditions consider time to be exceptionally cycling, spiral". (Model-8). And then the sacred sense of number eight is followed: "Number eight, being between the lowest multitude and the highest Trinity, is an angle, fiery, awful and merciful cosmos ("a fiery stove"), concealing and revealing at the same time the last mysteries of Divinity". (24) (Model-9). A special space-time sense of number eight can be found in all the world religions.
5. The Model of "general order of things", philosophical model and the world's picture. The principle of modeling: "tell me what is your cosmos (the Universe) and I'll say who you are". (25) The beginning comes from the Creator: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last". "The sources of the beginning is the other side of the end. That is the reason why the explanation of death and birth is possible". (55) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without him nothing came to being that came to being. There was life in Him; and the life was the light of humans". (35) "Word" (a synonym is "number") is the beginning of existent", "the great unity which is single", "primary pneuma - tsi", (54) "pressured, still concealed senses of the World - semantic continuum" , (26) senses-traces (a way) of "another", pre-ceding Universe, Consciousness of our World, of the Universum, space-sense (potential reality). The first incentive of "vivifying spirit", "wandering", the wave - from the Creator, the incognitive Absolute, from (+) the Eternity, "unpacking" of senses, "coming" of God. Spirit is a vertical, it is a flow of continuous matter of the first kind (apeuron, vortical ether, according to M. Klevtsov), (27) "immetrical vacuum", (28) "torsion bar field", (29, 30) "emptiness" and "darkness of the Eternal (as the light completeness)", "divine darkness", (54) (space-spirit, wave reality). "Alpha" of the Universe, the beginning, "creation of the world", "turning into the contrary" (1) - "birth of light", horizontal, discrete, with a variety of directions, (31) infinitely closed, hierarchical, altering in space-time of the second kind matter. The curved space-time and changing laws of physics. Synthesis of classical and non-classical conceptions of matter evolution. (31) "The Cross of the Universe". (32) (Model-10). The model of "the order of things". (Model-11). The philosophical model of the world-enneagram, (54) as "formula and symbol of justice", (59) which integrates the symbol of the triune world and of man, their "three hypostasises". (Model-12).Triune space-time, triune reality. Three triads: a) space, time, space-time; b) space-sense (potential reality), space-spirit(becoming reality, wave reality), space-matter ( actual reality, corpuscular reality); c) "inner time (a qualitative side of motion)", "outer time (quantitative side of motion)" , (10) time-rhythm ("from number to number and number in itself"). (10) Waves of Sense, Spirit, Matter. "The ninth wave' of Consciousness. Space of the Beauty, Goodness and Truth (ontology, aksiology, gnosiology). Philosophical pictures of the world: "a big living organism" - "big clock" - "thinking brain" (33) - "ribbon" of Mebius, (10) "ensemble" and the music of the Universes. (Model-14).
The table of fundamental grounds of triune space-time is a square "3 x 3", the square of "a beautiful horse", the square of Lo Shu" , (54) the square of Existent. The first horizontal is the matter space of the first kind (space-spirit): a wave, a vortex, an enthropy-turn (time-love-space). The second horizontal is a space-sense: being-nothingness, the verge of the facts of existence, (64) the vector of consciousness-senses "alive arrow". The second kind matter space is a corposculum-substance, an energy, an information.
6. Overcoming of "language captivity". (34) The very motion of "the vector of consciousness" in space-time sets a program, determines the structure of "process-orientated" (34) language, describing the becoming reality in its potentiality and non-manifestation. Words, concepts and categories produce chains in the construction base of which lies the principle "...-and...-and...". The guarantee protects from 'language captivity" are the line-wave of all points of intersection of sense streams, cognitive laws of nature and sacred Tradition.
7. About "Love Law". "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female, he created them." "Then the man will leave his father and mother and will remain unified with his wife, and the two will be one flesh". (35) Biologists have formulated "Love Law" as following: "that one who must be born have the right to choose". (36) This is the main law in the hierarchy of Love Laws (The Law of Earthly Love). "Two in the face of the third", who has not been born yet, - this is the thirst of life ("revealing of the secret"), searching for sense of life, eagerness to superlife. In space-matter the core is expressed in the "principle of universal cohesion, which is both the cohesion of dividing the whole into parts and that one of synthesis of parts into the whole". (10) The greatest Law is love to God. Man and his consciousness are monade and triade: Ch=Cf+Cm, where Cf is "her" consciousness, Cf is "his" one. Vector Ch is consciousness of the One, Who is to be born, consciousness of the "integral" (not of the half) Man. The Consciousness vector of the quasi-open system "Human genus" is all-embracing consciousness, the consciousness of "collective subject of cognition", (37) "the dominative setting of consciousness", (8) "an integrate sense intention" which is the resulting of vectors of autonomous subsystems "he" and "she". (Model-15).
8. By modeling consciousness in space-time, I comprehend, "experience and co-experience" (61) in my consciousness all the way of my ancestors for 3 million years..."Triangle (conus) of consciousness" of Tayar (16) (Model-16) rotates proportionally in three-measured sense space-time around the sense "arrow of time" at a speed of the earth's rotation. The development of the system carries out under the influence of external and internal factors. The line which is "drawn " by the Vector of Consciousness are exponents (38, 55) according to the cycle phases.
Modeling by the scheme: "the present-the past", "the present-the future", (54) which "makes the present to be temporal". (39)
Three large evolutionary cycles of Consciousness (the way of "light lump" of consciousness in space-time) in the course of cosmo-anthropo-socio-natural genesis" (40) of Homo Genus. The first cycle is Homo australis (from Greek "Homos" - equal, reciprocal, common and from Latin "australis" - southern) - "Homo habilis" ("human able"). (41, 35) The first coming out of the verge, the first experience, the first "seizure" from "the tree of knowledge", the first "Fall". The first tool and the first arms, the first deepest (in the sense and in space-time) bench-mark, the "breach of the primary identity of microcosm and macrocosm". (42) Pre-Acheulian technological revolution. The closeness of groups of "Homo habilis". A selfish behavior. "His" domination. Harem groups. (41) "Erotics-death". (43) Biopsychiatric, information and sense crisis. The second sense maximum (low) point. The first Tabu (moral interdictions) as "an obstacle for variation the sense stream". The lower paleolithic revolution as the first sense ("semantical" - a regrouping of senses), spiritual (moral), negentropious (biological), collectivistical (social), sexual (hendernous) revolution. The first leap, upheaval, reverse, "re-codification", "conversion", "the ninth wave" of Consciousness about 16 mln. years ago. The break of the first "circle of consciousness". The leap in all directions of "consciousness settings". (8) The "human able" is becoming "another" human being-"Homo erectus" (walking upright). It is another vision of the world. A new quality appears-a foreman of Space. The first phase of the second cycle- is the phase of the corporate interaction. The development and stabilization of system. Consciousness unifies with Nature and Cosmos. This is the phase of "the second cosmic consciousness". The conception of a single language, altruistic behavior, morality. The new levels of abstract thinking, technology complexity. (55) "She" is dominating, "she" is the legislator and educator. It is she, who introduces the First Law of Love. Consciousness is "growing" to the exponent, sliding along the line of joint of space-spirit and space-sense. The second "wave" of displacement in different parts of the Earth. The third sense maximum (the highest) point - "seizure", "stealing" and "taming", of fire-700 thousand years ago. This is the era of information and energy stream into the system. A crisis in morality, "the second Fall". "Effect of Prometheus", "enchantment by fire", a new tool and arms, which indicate the beginning of inversion, "re-codification" of Consciousness. Acheulian technological revolution. (55) Leaving for the Country of Time. "Closing" the system. The second phase of the second cycle is the phase of the system differentiation, the epoch of "the big Neanderthales". The fore-community of paleonthrop is divided into much more little groups, going to caves. The break of consciousness line. (55) The birth of totemism, fetishism, magic, animism. Self-consciousness is at the level of a group. Inbriding, "Endogamous (powerful) interdictions". (43) Cannibalism. "Eating Totem". "He" is dominating. Biopsychical, information and sense crisis. "Erotics is death". (43) The second "biological deadlock" in the Labyrinth of life. "Hell of anthropogenus". "Grasp" of space- time. The second Tabu. The forth sense maximum (the lowest) point is at about 40 thousand years ago. "Gestalt-revolution", consciousness reverso, "neurotical rebellion against own biological nature", "switching off the energy", overcoming the nature of your own, (43) creating an "outburst", effect of "cohesion of consciousness'", "meeting of different temporal worlds" (44) "...Having got in the field of the certain attractor, the system is drawing to the marked structure to have a more stable state". (45) The break of the second "circle of consciousness", "the ninth wave" of Consciousness, passing into the "new suprabiological quality". (43) "The break" of the sense "arrow of time". The second "great delicate revolution as the second sense ("semantic"), spiritual (moral), neganthropian (biological), collectivistical (social), sexual (hender), technological revolution. The second big migration wave over the vast Earth.. I. Kasavin says: "A real migration of the human population started an evolutionary mechanism, resulting in appearance of Cro-Magnon Man...", "the migration determines the structure of the special cognitive setting connected with perpetual striving for the reach out of the bounds of the datum". (46) A homogeneous social structure is a dual mother genus. "The birth" of "Homo Sapiens". Consciousness is sliding again on the verge of joint of space-spirit and space-sense. The second Love Law, the birth of the Main Law. Triune Totems of Freedom. "She" is a legislator again. Stabilization of the system. The phase of cooperative interaction, the phase of "understanding". A common house of mankind - the Oykos. The third cosmic consciousness. Equilibrium of socium with the natural eco-environment as with an object of labor . (55) The equilibrium inside of socium and between different sociums. "Prestige economy". The language of external speech, inseparable labor, animalistical mythology, morality, a variety of primitive beliefs, sacred visual arts. Life in Space, a man of the Space (of the inner time)sacred, "a sacred man", (40) "a moral creature". (43) The second meeting of "her" and "his", of Nature and Cosmos. It has been for about 30 thousand years...
God gave man some gift - a horse. Man saddled the horse and became very proud. The third "seizure" and overthrowing of the Main Totem of Freedom. The next crisis of morality. "The third Fall", the third "cosmological catastrophe", "break-away from the Absolute". "Playstocene is a holocene demographical outburst". (55) An influx of information and energy into the system - "marlboro effect". The "neolitical", sense, spiritual; technological, individualistic, sexual revolution. The fifth sense maximum (the highest) point. This is a new "break" of time, inversion of Consciousness sliding along the verge of joint space-matter and space-sense. "Eminence over environment", "another" vision of yourself and the world. Contraction of space-time. Quasi-openness of the system and sub-systems. Genus Homo is in the shade of a "big Neanderthales", which defines a way "following the old tracks". A new phase of the system - sense, spiritual, matter (technological), social - differentiation. This is the phase of "ego-consciouness", the phase of "reflection". Desintegration of a single stream of Consciousness. The stages are "antropical", "social", "corporeal". (36) The civilizations, different "temporal worlds". Passing from the "initial mother's genus (totem)" to the "father's", founded not on morality but on "domination of primitive forms of ownership". (39) "Seizure by grasps", the beginning of the "seizure of the world". (4) The first prey was a woman from an "alien clan". (43) "Eating" Totem. Totem of captivity. Demographical waves of the egophase. Babel overcrowdness. Races, natures, religions. Racing for energy from the Country of Freedom to the Country of Necessity, "reign of a throat of cast iron and a fist of one pood". (47) "He" is dominating, ignoring the laws of love, and seizes a spiritual, information, legal, legislative and executive power. It has been for 10 thousand years. "The development marked by minus". The ignoring of Nature. Violation, wars, struggle for power. The construction of "death civilization". The cult of money and power. "Man of Pleasure". The life in Time, man of Time (external time), man of Quantity, "man of pleasure". "Turning of time", "axis time". (23) Technological, demographical (little), civilized waves, social revolutions, wars. A separable community. The completion of the process of individual self-consciousness (55) -an internal speech and written language, etiquette, law, politics, secular visual Arts, theatre, science, satire, humor, hard drinking, drugs, terrorism. The completion of the third big evolutionary cycle of Genus Homo' Consciousness. The third total biopsychical, sense crisis. God's "leaving, "abandoned" and "forsaken" man. Reserve of Homo genus, "opening for the future is lost". The only "broken man", having ignored "conditions of The Forbidden line" , (48) is able to make the Earth go to the non-existence.
"The ninth wave" is a big evolutionary wave of Consciousness. The vector of Consciousness continues its way along the verge of joint space-matter and space-sense to the sixth sense maximum (the lowest) point, which is the "disruption of time", "the end of the history of madness". (49)
"He" has already tired of power. And a horse has been tired of a rider..."What kind of disruptions and upheavals are necessary to be between things and signs, bodies and desires, power and codes to mollify terror burden up to have a possibility of the new perspectives of freedom? And this occurs at the time when care for daily bread is dominating, when the total destruction of life makes beings to fight violently for survival and existence, when the sense of stability, security and protection undergo such a crushing defeat, that other problems, the problem of women's freedom for instance, seem to simply disappear in a collective social perturbation... And precisely that is why the question of women culture is to be articulated and put into the focus of mechanism being responsible for assembling of the coming sociality which has not cast into a rigid figurativeness yet. This is the point of view of the optimism". (50) A humorous attitude to life as "readiness for the "timeless" transformation of the sense of happening". (51) Another one is going from the range of global cycles of Consciousness to an end. But an eternal "sliding along the verge of gulf-disruption toward something absolutely new and unprecedented" (53) has been over yet.
9. "Having slightly raised the reality cover, sliding along a thin verge of its turning to reality, along the verge of definite senses", (51) "having experienced the past once again" (5), having felt a "necessity to unify, to have something to be surrounded in the dreary abandonment, in the groundless existence, an ingenuous necessity to have "somebody other", "she" makes the third "great delicate upheaval", the break through the third "consciousness circle", the break into "Transcedence", "to try to see and understand this immense building of humanity creation inside herself". (51) "There are some events which, in any case, cannot be unfolded in the plan of a single consciousness, but they are supposed to be two consciousness' which never interflow. The essential and constitutive feature of these events is an attitude of one consciousness to another one, and all creatively productive events have such features: bearing something new they are unique and irreversible." (52) "A cautious scenario", (62) ("a delicate way") of "passing" the sixth maximum point, "sense limit" on the way of cognition, the point of trifucation (of the three ways: life, death and existence): a) "dissemination" of ownership and power, and the stucturisation of the system at the new levels, national self-consciousness, self-identification, "unity of all nations"; b) "revolution" in the hierarchy of power: the first is spiritual, the second is information (public), the third is legal, the forth is legislative, the fifth is executive, responsibility and power division within the system "he"-"she", "Vetche of Silence" ("the truth is beyond words" (45) ); c) the Third Tabu, "the system of new Tabus", (48) the Third Law of Love - the Law of Unity: "Unity is in variety. Variety is in Unity"; d) "a little Country of Childhood", the birth of "totally different" (53) man - "a triple unity of man of Sense, Spirit and Matter", the third Man of Space; e) "another" world view, "another" culture, "another order", (63) "other senses", "other symbols", "another" philosophy - space and "synchronous" philosophy, "another" logic - the logic of the Unity, "triune" logic of the Unity", (59) of the concealed world, truly-existent, or the world of primary Freedom". "Instead of the notion which has one meaning a polysemantic symbol appears"; (45) f) the third meeting of "he" and "she", of Nature and the Universe. "Human broadens his sense grounds and continues himself in the existence of other people, in the world of "another" culture"; (13) g) Penitence. The returning of God. The returning of Kings and Queens. The returning to the Earth. Eva "finds" herself and her lost Thread of Sense, Spirit and Life ("Eva's line").
The line ("a quality thread") of motion of Consciousness Vector in the trimeasured space-time: unfolded, converging and diverging, exponential, asymmetrical, an infinitely closed spiral. (Model-16). Topology of Consciousness' levels. Billions of live and ever lived people of the planet "draws" the line which "almost entirely fills the surface" (31) - a pulsing, broadening, hierarchical sphere, the "Reign of thinking Spirit - Philosphere" (6). (Model-18). A single house for Whose Who is to be born.
As I leave I'll bow to home
Silenteli prey to God
And will wonder looking for land
Where my love lives alone...(65)
