Yes, this song inspired my mathematical obsession. I can now recite pi to 150 digits correctly.
I love this song, it's mezmerizing, relaxing and comforting. It does seem like it spins in circles of infinity. Although, I think there may be another much-less veiled meaning in the words of pi. Pi is a circle, infinity is a circle, and they do say that everything has a number put to it. The appeal of this song also worms yet deeper into my Adena-shaped heart because pi is irrational, and I guess it reminds me how irrational the world is. I like the music too, it fits really well. Definitely one of my favourites.
Oh, and by the way, 55058223 which Tannis quotes as being unsung is in fact sung. It's also listed in the lyric book, whereas I don't think the first unsung zero is. Sorry, I'm a stickler for detail.

Hello and welcome, Adena... Have a good time reading though the threads, and I look forward to your posts! These are interesting connections- Kate singing 78 digits and then leaving out 22 is quite an interesting coincidence, or non-coincidence, whichever it may be. What a strange, strange boy He sees the cars as sets of waves Sequences of mass and space... - 'A Strange Boy' by Joni Mitchell.Kate Bush Pi: 3 point1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5 028841971 693993751 0582 0974944 5923 078164 062862 08 [MISSING 22] 82148 08651 32823 06647 0938446 095 5 058223 ...on the green ZEROs ( 0) KB sings "zero" ...on the blue ZEROs ( 0), I cannot hear KB singing "zero". I have listened to the song over and over and IMHO both blue ZEROs are Unsung "zeros"... (Please read through the whole of this thread for my explanation of KaTe's Pie... )Kate sings the first 78 digits correctly. THERE ARE 78 TAROT CARDS IN THE DECK. So these first sung 78 digits might represent the complete 78 Tarot Cards.
Kate then misses out 22 digits. THERE ARE 22 MAJOR ARCANA TAROT CARDS. So these missing 22 digits might represent the 22 Major Arcana Tarot Cards.
Kate then 'sings' 37 more digits (though in this Pi section she misses out the 6th digit (a zero) and the 32nd digit (also a zero). The 35 digits that she does sing could represent The Queen Of Wands (the 35th Tarot Card). [And the missing 2 zeros could represent THE HIEROPHANT (the 6th Tarot Card) and THE TEN OF WANDS (the 32nd Tarot Card).] 3 point (78 + 22 unsung numbers) + (35 + 2 unsung zeros) = 3 + 137 decimal places
i.e. KaTe 'sings' Pi to the 137th decimal place. And the Number 137 corresponds with light, the ONE or Whole light that consists of THREE primary rays, the red, green and blue, or SEVEN spectrum colours.
KaTe's rendition of Pi both begins and ends on the number 3 [3point14159...8223], making the song a perfect circle of infinity, an ouroboros... THE QUEEN OF WANDS They light up a room when they enter; they radiate warmth and energy, humor and spirit. Very often they're in entertainment, as actresses or singers. They can also be leaders and activists. Men and often other women hover round them like moths to a flame, and can certainly be burned by their hot, passionate, restless natures. Not that these women can't be gentle; they love children and are almost over-active participants in the lives of their kids, making costumes for plays, coaching teams, etc. These are very creative women, with boundless energy to make, do, travel, entertain. The problem, of course, is that these Queens have trouble stepping out of the spotlight. They can overwhelm or intimidate, be bossy and overbearing. At their best, however, they are an inspiration to their family and friends, and often to admiring strangers as well. As a suit, Wands are direct, determined and connected to Will and its appropriate application. The Queen of Wands represents a woman who knows exactly what she wants out of life, and aims at her goals with great dedication. She is often a woman who has experienced conflict and trauma, and learned from these. She's usually independent, forthright and self-motivated. As a friend she will be loyal and honest, though sometimes given to handing out unwelcome advice, and taking over. As a parent she can be quite dominant, claiming that she wants her off spring to be self-reliant and confident, but sometimes tending to become impatient, and do things on their behalf in her own way, rather than allowing her children to make up their own minds. She's a fighter, who does not suffer fools gladly. She will support and assist those who are vulnerable and needy, offering unceasing energy and determination. She takes up causes readily, and proves herself a worthy adversary. However she has a tendency not to know when to stop, and enjoys being at the forefront of the battle, rather than beavering away on the more routine aspects of any campaign. This is a forceful and proud woman. She applies high standards to everything she becomes involved in. As a result, she can sometimes be somewhat intolerant of people who do things differently. So - The Queen of Wands - a fine ally, and a dangerous enemy! ACTIONS: Attractive: is appealing and popular; creates a powerful first impression; makes friends easily; has great sex appeal; is warm and outgoing. Wholehearted: is loaded with enthusiasm; tackles a task with total dedication; gives the utmost in any situation; is open and sincere; doesn't hold anything back. Energetic: leads a busy and active life; is vigorous and strong; radiates health and vitality; has an inner vibrancy; is a natural athlete. Cheerful: is optimistic and upbeat; has an encouraging word for all; brightens whatever room he or she is in; has a warm and sunny disposition; can shake off the blues easily. Self-Assured: quietly demonstrates self-confidence; handles any situation with aplomb; can't be easily rattled or provoked; is spontaneous and gracious in defeat; has faith in his or her abilities. DESCRIPTION: The personality of the Queen of Wands combines the positive fire energy of the Wands suit with the inward focus of a Queen. She is the one voted most popular in her class. She is always attractive and often good-looking in the classical sense. Her warm smile and easygoing manner bring her lots of friends and admirers. Her energy is contagious, and her enthusiasm, total. No matter what the task, she tackles it with wholehearted dedication and commitment. Nothing gets her down. She is always upbeat and cheerful - ready to look for the positive in the situation. Her life is full and busy, and she prefers it that way. She loves to be going and doing. She keeps up this pace because she is radiantly healthy and fit. She is often a good athlete, being naturally strong and coordinated. Although she's never arrogant, the Queen of Wands has a deep faith in her own abilities. Her quiet self-assurance comes from the knowledge that she can accomplish whatever she sets her mind to. In readings, the Queen of Wands asks you to think and feel as she does. For example: Do you feel attractive? Do you believe in yourself? Are you full of energy? Can you shake off the blues? Are you gung ho about life? This Queen can also represent a man or woman who is like her, or an atmosphere of cheerful and confident enthusiasm. In a reading, she tells you that her special energy has meaning for you at this time. Let yourself be inspired by this Queen in whatever form she appears in your life.
TEN OF WANDS A man carries ten heavy wands on his back. This is a card that says that the Querent has used up all the energy they started with at the ace. They don't feel that creative, driving force any more. The image on this card implies that the Querent has complete control of all the many things he wanted control over. He is the leader, the boss. But this means that all the burdens are his as well. He's trying to do everything, and it leaves him drained. Advise your Querent to delegate, to put down some burdens and find his energy again. ACTIONS: overextending: trying to do too much; refusing to say "no"; taking all the blame; assuming another's debt; doing the lion's share; having to work overtime; shouldering all the work; being saddled with an extra load. feeling burdened: never having time to relax; feeling tied to a treadmill; being taxed to the limit; assuming responsibility; being held accountable; carrying out an unpleasant duty; cleaning up a messy situation; being left holding the bag. struggling: fighting uphill; doing everything the hard way; experiencing resistance; pushing against the current; having to work for every gain; finding that nothing comes easily; laboring. DESCRIPTION: On the Ten of Wands, we see a bent figure trying to carry ten heavy poles. They are ranged so closely in front of him that he can't even see where he's going. Nothing exists for this man except his burdens and responsibilities. How true this is for so many today! We take on so much, trying to do all the things that need to be done. We think that if we can hang on until the weekend (or vacation, or end of the semester) then we can finally relax. The weekend comes, and the overload continues. In readings, the Ten of Wands can be a sign that you are pushing yourself too hard. If your days are an endless round of duties and tasks, then you need to lighten up for the sake of your health and well-being. Cut back, and take on only those activities that give you pleasure. If you love your work, but it's all-consuming, you may be too narrowly focused in one area. Balance your life with other interests. The Ten of Wands can also stand for times when you have to assume the lion's share of responsibility. You may be blamed or left holding the bag. On the other hand, you may have to step forward and take charge because you are the only one capable enough. Rightly or wrongly, the cleanup will fall to you. The Ten of Wands indicates that your life is going to be tougher than usual for a time. You will have to fight uphill for every little gain. Each step will feel like a struggle. When you see this card, be kind to yourself. Lighten the load wherever you can, and let others help you. You don't have to handle everything yourself.
THE HIEROPHANT "There are only two ways," says the Hierophant sagely, "Either give up that which you fear to lose so it no longer holds any power over you, or consider what you will still have if your fear comes to pass. After all," the Hierophant continues, "if you did lose all you'd built, you would still keep the experience and knowledge that you've gained up to this point, wouldn't you?" This surprisingly pragmatic advice releases the Fool from his fear, and he is able exit out of the sanctuary and face the world's challenges once again. ACTIONS: getting an education: pursuing knowledge; becoming informed; increasing understanding; studying and learning; seeking a deeper meaning; finding out more. having a belief system: sharing a cultural heritage; learning a religious tradition; honoring ritual and ceremony; identifying a world view; following a discipline; knowing where to put your faith. conforming: following the rules; taking an orthodox approach; staying within conventional bounds; adapting to the system; fitting in; going along with the program; doing what's expected; being part of the Establishment. identifying with a group: being committed to a cause; devoting energy to a group; joining an organization; working as part of a team; feeling loyal to others; being in an institutionalized setting. DESCRIPTION: Except in rare cases, every human grows and develops within a culture. We learn by living with others. The Hierophant represents such official learning, especially in groups. A Hierophant is someone who interprets secret knowledge. On Card 5 we see a religious figure in a formal church setting. He is wearing the elaborate vestments of his office. His task is to bring the two initiates into the church so they can take up their appointed roles. Besides churches, there are schools, clubs, teams, companies, and societies. The Hierophant represents all of these because his realm is structured groups with rules and assigned roles. Such environments emphasize belief systems - facts, rules, procedures, and ritual. Members are rewarded for following conventions. They develop a group identity. The Hierophant is one of three cards that focuses on the group. (The 3 of Cups and the 3 of Pentacles are the others.) In readings, the Hierophant often represents learning with experts or knowledgeable teachers. This card also stands for institutions and their values. The Hierophant is a symbol of the need to conform to rules or fixed situations. His appearance in a reading can show that you are struggling with a force that is not innovative, free-spirited or individual. Groups can be enriching or stifling, depending on circumstances. Sometimes we need to follow a program or embrace tradition, other times, we need to trust ourselves. See also the Fool's Journey. www.learntarot.com/journey.htm#hierojourney

I actually always thought that she sung it, but pronounced it as 'oh' instead of 'zero'.
Edit: I listened to it again, she does sing it, but she pronounces it as 'oh'.

SUSPENDED IN PIE: The Kate Bush Conjecture...Pi chugs along like a steam train locomotive. Indeed, Pi is like a trainspotter's hem of anorak, with the blocks of digits representing carriage or wagon numbers! The 'three' (point) is sung like a whistle (as are other digits). And the tune lulls rather like a train journey. Infinity is symbolically represented as an horizonal eight. So maybe KaTe has an obsessive nature and deep fascination for Bertie's model railway. (BTW, the name Albert means 'noble and bright'; and 'brite' is an anagram of Berti) ... And the Pi locomotive takes us to Bertie ... Although KaTe sings the first 54 digits of Pi correctly, in the lyrics booklet it says "58231" instead of the sung "5820".Did KaTe make the printed lyric "mistake" deliberately? Does the 31 reference a Hebrew Gematria Value or Tarot Card Key Number 31: Judgement? * Why is there no Bertie cartoon representing the number 4? Is Pi KaTe's signature tune? *JUDGEMENT The Spirit of the Primal FireCard Number: 20 Key Number: 31Rulership: Fire Hebrew Letter: Shin Translation: Tooth Numerical Value: 3 Basic Card Symbols Angel, trumpets, graves with people rising from them, often water or an ocean. Basic Tarot Story As the Fool leaves the garden of the Sun, he feels that he is near the end of his journey, ready to take a final step. But something is keeping him from doing this, holding him back. He gazes up, hoping to find guidance from the Sun; instead he sees above him a fiery angel, beautiful and terrible. "You are right," the Angelic figure confirms, "you have only one last step on your journey, one final step to completion. But you cannot take that step until you lay your past to rest." The Fool is perturbed. "Lay it to rest? I thought I'd left it behind, all of it," he says. "There is no way to do that," The Angel observes. "Each step wears down the shoe just a bit, and so shapes the next step you take, and the next and the next. Your past is always under your feet. You cannot hide from it, run from it, or rid yourself of it. But you can call it up, and come to terms with it. Are you willing to do that?" The Angel hands the Fool a small trumpet. The Fool is hesitant, but he knows that this is a final decision. Either to go forward, or stay where he is. He blows, and the trumpet's song echoes across the sky, its vibrations seeming to crack open the Earth. From under the Fool's feet, memories rise. Images of his innocent youth, challenges, loves, failures, losses, success, disillusionment and wisdom. For the first time, he does not try to leave them, ignore or forget them, but accepts them. They are, he sees, nothing to fear. They happened, but they are gone now. He, alone, carries them into the present. With that understanding, the memories vanish. Though they remain in his mind, they no longer have any power over him. He is free of them, reborn, and wholly in the present. Basic Tarot Meaning With Fire as its ruling element (or Pluto as its ruling planet), Judgement is about rebirth, ressurection. The idea of Judgement day is that the dead rise, their sins are forgiven, and they move onto heaven. The Judgement card is similar, it asks the resurrection to summon the past, forgive it, and let it go. There are wounds from the past that we never let heal, sins we've committed that we refuse to forgive, bad habits we haven't the courage to lose. Judgement advises us to finally face these, recognize that the past is past, and put them to rest, absolutely and irrevocably. This is also a card of healing, quite literally from an accident or illness, as well as a card signaling great transformation, renewal, change. Thirteen's Observations Judgement is often a hard card to read; it usually signals just a big change, that involves leaving something old completely behind and stepping into something completely new. Like closing the door on an old job, and opening the door to a new and very different career. But it'is also about making a final decision, to take that plunge into the new career, to forgive your family, to leave an abusive spouse, to make a new life. To heal and renew. A very hard card to read in part because it deals with very hard and final decisions. And it means facing something that most Querent's don't want to face. You can't hide any longer, this card says, all the dead have risen and are out in the open. Face what you have to face, make that decision. Change. Rigakis, organized by the Oxford Golden Dawn Occult Society.www.uni-heidelberg.de/subject/hd/fak7/hist/o1/logs/sophia/log.started960101/mail-19.htmlThe central document of Thelema is Liber AL vel Legis, also known as The Book of the Law. The book is full of mystical references, allusions, statements of morality, and communications in cipher. Crowley and his protegé Charles Stansfeld Jones (Frater Achad) discovered that the number 31 was a numerological key which revealed hidden meanings therein. The founder of Golden Triangle Temple did numerological research in the late 1990s, building upon Crowley and Achad's work, and formulated a system of English Qabalah based upon 31, or "EQ31" for short. The EQ31 system does not claim a monopoly on the truths of English Qabalah within Thelema; however, it does produce some remarkable correspondences and insights, and in the founder's own life provided the prompting which led him to Work with T Allen Greenfield and to establish the Temple. Golden Triangle Temple, no. 31www.temple31.org/faq/#3131 = AL (God, The All), LA (Not, Nothing), KHV (Magical Self), and HVK (To Go, the function of a God). The number 666 when translated into Hebrew letters is Mem, Samekh, Vav. These letters correspond with Atus 12, 14 and 5. 12+14+5=31. Note in this connection that Path 31 of the Qabalistic Tree of Life is the Path of the letter Shin, the special letter of 666. THELEMIC NUMBERS AND WORDSdavidcherubim.net/documents/gematria.htm"In Hebrew "not" is LA, 31, and AL is God, 31, while there is a third 31 still deeplier hidden in the double letter ST, which is a graphic glyph of the sun and moon conjoined to look like a foreshortened Phallus, thus--when written in Greek capitals. This S or Sigma is like a phallus, thus, [Greek], when writ small ; and like a serpent or spermatozoon when writ final, thus, [Greek]. This T or Theta is the point in the circle, or phallus in the kteis, and also the Sun just as C is the Moon, male and female." Although KaTe sings the first 54 digits of Pi correctly, in the lyrics booklet it says "58231" instead of the sung "5820".What is the significance of the number 31?"Onechild31"The reader will recall the opening numbers of the first definitive Chapter of Liber AL vel Legis, 1:1:1, and the Key discovered by Frater Achad concerning the Number 31, the Hebrew value of AL, the One God, and LA, Nothing. The number of Chapters and Gods presented by Liber AL give the actually Key here, for 3 x 31 = 93, and ONE ONE ONE = 31 x 3 = 93 in A = 0. This remarkable correlation is verified by Nuit further on in the text of Liber AL. Again ONE, CHILD, and AEON each add to 31 in our NOX or A = 0 value, and collectively add to 93 as well. "Aye! Listen to the numbers & the words"members.aol.com/Onechild31/proof4.htmlNow the plot thickens. Liber Legis makes numerous references to a "child", "one" who would "come after" or "follow" the Beast, Aleister Crowley, bearing solutions to the puzzles found therein. At first Crowley assumed that he was to produce a physical child upon whom would fall the mantle of becoming his heir and successor. When attempts at this didn't materialize, he wondered at whom or what the "child" really was. It was at this time that a neophyte initiate of Crowley's A:.A:., one Charles Stansfeld Jones, had taken the "oath of the abyss" which was generally reserved for those who had attained to the ascending grades of initiation in the order. Jones, who took the Magickal motto Achad (the Hebrew for One), had stumbled upon a crucial numeric key to Liber Legis in the Hebrew word AL (literally meaning God as the One Existence) and its reverse image LA (Nothing or None), both of which add to the number 31 (which together signify our Grand Binary Code since 1 = AL and 0 = LA). This Qabalistic 'proof' and formula of reversal formed the basis of Achad's claim to be the Beast's One heir and Magickal Child, especially since Achad adds to 13 in gematria - the reverse of 31. Its ironic that Mr. Jones never knew just how close he was to the solution to II:55: for ONE, CHILD, and AEON all add to 31 using our Sacred Cipher. Crowley comments: "The passage... appears to be a Qabalistic test (on the regular pattern) of any person who may claim to be the Magickal Heir to the Beast. Be ye well assured all that the solution, when it is found, will be unquestionable. It will be marked by the most sublime simplicity, and carry immediate conviction."The Numbers & The Wordsmembers.aol.com/Onechild31/proof3.htmlEDIT:Out of interest, it occurs to me that if 31 can equal AL (All) or LA (Nothing), then: a) if 'Nothing' can mean Zero (0), then, somewhere in between, Kate Bush sings Zero and prints Zero (as 31=LA=Nothing); and b) if 31 can also equal AL=ALL, then the lyrics sheet replaces Nothing (0) with All (31). I want it all!John Wilson: How did you know when it was finished? Did someone have to come in the room and say ‘stop now’? Kate Bush: No, it was when I knew that, you know, I couldn't go on any longer, or it would have killed me. I was so fed up with it, so fed up with listening to the thing. Very interesting. I can really see the connection between Judgment and the whole spirit of Aerial- there is a real feeling of new life and resurrection to the album, and also of liberation. Yes, Rosa, this is very interesting. When I first began looking at Pi I concentrated on comparing the vocal with Real Pi. But the lyrics booklet has replaced a sung Zero (and in Tarot, THE FOOL is Zero) with "31". In Tarot, the Key Number of JUDGEMENT is 31. In Aleister Crowley's THOTH Tarot deck, Judgement is named THE AEON, and in Gematria, AEON = 31. So it seems that in the lyrics booklet, Kate Bush has replaced THE FOOL with AEON (JUDGEMENT)... The Aeon (or Judgement, Last Judgement, Atonement, Resurrection) is numbered twenty and often shows figures arising from graves in answer to the clarion call of an angel. The Thoth deck veers away from the Christian overtones and instead we see the goddess Nuit, a primal sky goddess from the beginning of creation. Her body is arched above our heads and curves to imply the ankh cross, a symbol of immortality and life. A child-like male figure stands within the ankh's loop with his finger to his lips in the traditional mystical gesture of silence. A seated regal figure is behind him. Both figures are said to represent Horus, first as child and then as ruler. Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis. When his father was murdered by his brother Set, Horus was protected and raised by Isis. Horus' ascension to manhood triggered a series of battles with Set, culminating in his assumption to the throne of Egypt. Set was sent away defeated and thus Horus is seen as a god of redemption. The Aeon forces us to acknowledge that our actions set up a chain of cause-and-effect for which we are solely responsible. Here we pass through the fire of purification, shedding dead and dying wood as we go. We judge ourselves frankly, forgive, and leave the past behind. And then we are free to step into the light... [AERIAL...] ... The Aeonwww.angelpaths.com/majors/aeon.htmlCard twenty is The Aeon, that ultimate test. In other decks it is named Judgement, depicting the christian Day of Judgement. The Aeon is the New Age incarnate. Horus is Osiris reborn, through the union with Isis (who is depicted on the Priestess card), who is the mother. The occult quest is accomplished with the twenty-first card, The Universe. This is the ascension. Oneness of being. THE THOTH TAROT DECK www.hellshaw.com/reeducks/thoth/major.htmlThe letter Shin is attributed to the 31st Path on the Tree of Life, symbolized by the Atu Judgement or Aeon, and AEON = 31 in A = 0. This card depicts a triptych of a Mother (Nuit), Father (Hadit), and Child (Ra-Hoor-Khuit), and CHILD = 31 in A = 0! "Aye! Listen to the numbers & the words"members.aol.com/Onechild31/proof4.html----- Within the system of Thelema, history is broken down into a series of Aeons, each with its own dominant concept of divinity and its own "formula" of redemption and advancement. According to Aleister Crowley, the last three Aeons have been (1) the Aeon of Isis, (2) the Aeon of Osiris, and (3) the current Aeon of Horus which began in 1904 with the writing of The Book of the Law.The first Aeon of Isis was maternal, where the female aspect of the Godhead was revered due to a mostly matriarchal society and the idea that "Mother Earth" nourished, clothed and housed man. The Classical/Medieval Aeon of Osiris is considered to be dominated by the paternal principle and the formula of the Dying God. This Aeon was characterized by that of self-sacrifice and submission to the Father God. The modern Aeon of Horus, is portrayed as a time of self-realization as well as a growing interest in all things spiritual, is considered to be dominated by the principle of the child. The Word of its Law is Thelema (will) which is complimented by Agape (love), and its formula is Abrahadabra. Individuality and finding the True Will are the dominant aspects; its formula is that of growth, in consciousness and love, toward self-realization. Of the Aeon of Horus, Crowley writes: the crowned and conquering child, who dieth not, nor is reborn, but goeth radiant ever upon His Way. Even so goeth the Sun: for as it is now known that night is but the shadow of the Earth, so Death is but the shadow of the Body, that veileth his Light from its bearer. (Heart of the Master) The future Aeon, which is seen to eventually replace the present one, is the Aeon of Ma'at. According to some—such as Charles Stansfeld Jones (Frater Achad)—the Aeon of Maat has already arrived.

Tannis, do you have a job as a conspiracy theorist? I like these ideas,I should do a bit more research into them.

EDIT:Out of interest, it occurs to me that if 31 can equal AL (All) or LA (Nothing), then: a) if 'Nothing' can mean Zero (0), then, somewhere in between, Kate Bush sings Zero and prints Zero (as 31=LA=Nothing); and b) if 31 can also equal AL=ALL, then the lyrics sheet replaces Nothing (0) with All (31). Maybe she's trying to say that all and nothing are really the same thing? That would be a solution to the 'I want it all now!' in Suspended in Gaffa.

Sing a Song of Sixpence[/color] Sing a song of sixpence, a pocket full of rye. Four and twenty blackbirds, baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened, the birds began to sing. Wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house, counting out his money. The queen was in the parlour, eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden, hanging out the clothes, When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose! The queen was in the studio eating bread and honey, while the King was in his counting house counting out his priceless junk! Inspired by four and twenty blackbirds (and of course her honey sand witch), she saw a vision of A Sea of Honey and A Sky of Honey! She was so excited, she made a dainty dish called Pi and set this before Bertie, the King on top of the Mountain. Meanwhile, Mrs Bartolozzi was in the garden hanging out the clean laundry, when down came a blackbird and pinched the keyhole! The blackbird left behind a book on how to be invisible, but it was written in avian cipher, and took 12 years for Kate and Joanni to decode! She set the translation to music on Aerial Tal (though of course she sings it in cipher, much to the delight of Bertie!). Aerial was released on 31-4-1592 and when everyone opened their Aerial Pie, the birds began to laugh and we all joined in! Kate celebrated with a double rye whiskey, which had been distilling for exactly 3.141592 years!
Immediately, people hit on the idea that Pi contained far more than just four and twenty clocked blackbirds. They baked up conspiracy theories about steam trains and tarot cards. Was Kate really a golden dawn railway child or was she into the Qabbala? Geeks spent their spare time and loose change trying to become panoramic. Surely the answer must be somewhere in between sunset and nocturn? Or between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.? Or perhaps it was all one big Architect's Dream, hidden under a veil of diamond dust, and as elusive as The Universal Code... The Queen was in the Parlour, Eating Bread and Honey, 1860. ^ ROTFL! That's marvelous, Tannis, the last part describes us perfectly. I can just imagine Kate as the pi-making queen, inspired by four and twenty blackbirds. ;D
